He’s pretty goofy and his interactions with civilians is pretty funny. When he’s fighting someone he will get serious. But otherwise he’s chill. I don't know if it's compatibility or Venom really is holding himself back from harming her since he *likes* Ms. Chen. She gives him the chocolates. He's not gonna bite the hand that feeds him the goodies. Or she, like Eddie, feels like a loser and that's why she sympathizes with him even if she can't help him since "being a loser" is what binds this version of Venom together with his hosts instead of anger and/or want to be a hero.
I haven't seen the movie in a while but couldn't anyone match with a symbiote, for a short term. I thought it took some time for it to have a real, harmful effect. Personally, I loved the amount of character the Ms Chen actress put on her facial expressions when she was Venom.
I saw this in theaters opening night. During the scene with Ms Chan, the audience could be heard groaning every time Dan said anything. Suddenly someone yelled "shut UP Dan" and then Venom says "NO ONE LIKES YOU DAN."
Really love what they've done with Venom and their adaptation of the comics. In the comics, Venom is not evil at all. He bonds with Peter of course and when Peter ultimately removes Venom in the church, Venom still saves his life. When he bonds with Brock and goes back in forth vs Spidey, they eventually truce on and off, leading to when Anne helps Venom realize Peter regularly saves civilians and if Venom kills Peter, those civilians he will save would die (Venom does not kill innocents or like the killing of innocents). Venom then makes a deal with Peter that they part ways and neither will go after the other leading to *Venom: The Lethal Protector* Great character
Ms. Chen needs more scenes in V3. Have it be called Enter the Venomverse. Have Ms Chen get the Symbiote instead of Eddy while being mugged by the thief from venom 1 in one universe and have her show up to beat face during the final fight.
