I bought a pair, I do a lot of training on the aqua heavy bag. They were very stiff at first but after a couple of sessions and breaking them in, I think they are excellent. They fit snuggly, and you can make a proper fist which gives you the feeling of a lot more control. The D30 does make a nice snapping sound, even when your doing a jab. As for the down side, let's not mess about....its an expensive peice of kit
lol! Yes they are definitely expensive but like you said, the hand compartment is great and the protection/ feedback you get from them are fantastic. Still like to see the price a little lower towards the double digits.
It's crazy what COVID did to the price of things. Just a few short years later, these gloves are now $230. That's a 40% increase for the exact same glove.
Agreed. The past 3-4 years have been crazy worldwide and we’re seeing the trickle down effect. Some of the price increases are warranted (inflation/ cost of goods) but some of its also unnecessary because of greed. I’m sure the truth falls somewhere in between that.
LOL Covid was NOT the problem. It was all the "free" printed money that ends up being a tax on people who must absorbe the inflation cost of buying votes with printed money. It doesn't take an economist to figure this out, but you have to see through the propaganda and excuses.
I actually ordered a pair of RS11V's in blue today because I currently only own Thai gloves and those don't support my weak wrists enough. They should be here next week, can't wait to try them.
Is the Rival your favorite bag glove ever? It would be awesome to hear what bag glove you think is best overall (where $ is no concern) and what glove you think is the best value (lower price but still performs great). Thanks
Carlo I agree on the d3o. I appreciate the d3o application but it is just a great idea in theory for boxing equipment. For a motorcycle helmet, it makes super sense because d30 hardens when Met with a force, but once it is hardened than it becomes a hard material. For a bike accident, it is great to have that in one occasion and you buy a new helmet but for boxing we hit 100 times or get hit over and over. So unless the material hardens and softens like a gel, I can’t see the use of it. if it was very good protector for repeated impact then all pro fighters would switch to d3o head gear but they still prefer winning. This is totally my opinion, and In my view a gel layer covered with latex outside for response would be the solution. Gel is great absorber, and latex with leather finish is great to hear the snap sound, aka pop.
It's been almost a year since your review of the RB10 bag gloves. Are you still using them? How are they holding up? How has your opinions change if any have on them? Haven't seem many long term reviews on them. Thanks.
Another great review. Beautiful looking gloves, but out of my budget. You mentioned that there are other options which are just as good for half the price; could you give me a couple recommendations in that regard? I just got a pair of Twins Special, but they're too loose around the wrist so I'm still hunting for good bag gloves. I'm 6 ft, 200lbs, hit hard and have somewhat long fingers. I'm a Massage Therapist, so ample padding is important to protect my hands. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
Thanks for the review. I’m the same height and weight and the only thing holding me back was this weird sizing they chose instead of just keeping it to ounces. I was concerned about the looseness at the wrist/forearm because I also heard that in other reviews. But the fit doesn’t look too bad on you. I just don’t want to go down or up in oz. I’ve been hitting with 14oz at the bag forever and don’t want to change that. So the XL’s are definitely 14oz or 16oz? The rival site says they’re 14oz but I want to be absolutely sure from someone that has them in their hands and knows the difference in oz size.
Yeah the XL is about 14 ounces and actually fits pretty good and has a slim profile. I’m 5’8 about 145-150 with medium hands and I like the size. L will fit you good as well.
Thanks for the review. Now that you’ve used the Rivals bag glove and the Hayabusa T3, which do you prefer for bag work? Right now I’m deciding between the T3 or one of Rival’s more expensive models. While I do care about wrist and knuckle support, what I want most is a glove that lets you make the best possible fist. I don’t see much point in fancy features if you can’t get your hand fully closed before you slam it into the bag. Do you have a favorite between the Rival and the T3? Or should I be loooking somewhere else? I’d love to hear your opinion on what you think is the best bag glove you’ve tried. Thanks again for taking the time to make these videos.
Between the rival and the t3 I prefer the rival hands down. Better fist placement and ergonomics for the hand IMO. Knuckle padding is great for the bag as well and gives a satisfying pop. T3 are nice, just not as comfortable imo and the padding is bouncier.
Thanks for the quick reply. Is the Rival your favorite bag glove ever? It would be awesome to hear what bag glove you think is best overall (where $ is no concern) and what glove you think is the best value (lower price but still performs great). Thanks again!

Great review mate and it was nice that you touched upon an aspect of these gloves that I also really like and that’s the nice, crisp impact sound you get from them as you wade into the heavy bag or work the pads with a coach. Really nice feedback from them as you work the bag/pads. I haven’t regretted purchasing them in the least. Again, great review. Just out of interest, my old sparring gloves have finally given up the ghost and died on me so I’m in the market for a new pair, what would your personal recommendation be? Looking to spend between £170-250 on them (so about $220 - 320 US dollars), any particular recommendations? Thanks and great work.
Thanks! For that budget I'd say go all the way and get some Winning training gloves, great quality, feel, and will last you a long time. I've seen some go for about $300 and money well spent.
Thank you for another great review. I've been watching your videos for years now and I've taken your advice on at least two occasions --- bought the Fighting Fury and the Fighting Road gloves, both of which were awesome. So I was hoping you could help me once again. I own the RB 50s and I love the feel and the ability to make a tight fist, but I'm looking for a glove that offers a little more knuckle protection. Can you tell me if the RB10s allow you to make that same tight fist as the RB50s, or are much stiffer?
I’m a 13 year old junior boxer and after my bag sessions my hands have been shaking for a while after and I put it down to poor wrist protection on the basic adidas bag gloves so I’m gonna get these what size would u recommend for me small or medium (in the uk you have the option of 8oz aswell as 10oz)
Question #1; Is the RB10 worth the extra $ over the RB11 bag glove? I'm on the fence and was considering the Fly Superloop X 16 oz- but the cost was holding me back but I see the RB10 is only a $25 difference in price over the Fly but the RB11 is a about a $60.00 over the Fly. Question#2- For overall wrist protection/ alignment, shock absorption what of the 3 (Fly,RB10,RB11) would be superior? Or is it really just too close to call?
To answer your question, no, the RB10 isnt worth the extra money over the RB11 IMO. I think the RB11 offers the same level of protection, comfort, and feel as the RB10 minus the D30 technology which I dont think makes a difference (at least from what I've felt). For wrist and shock absorption of the 3 you listed I'd still give the slight edge to RB10 even over Fly because of the wrist lock style strap that covers higher up on the lower part of your palm; so you're getting better support on both your wrist and hand because of how the velcro straps crosses over your hand. Bottom line from what I can tell, get the RB11
As of July 2024 and government inflation policies of "free" printed money - these gloves are $224. Yikes!😮 I still bought them but only because of the D30 padding and craftsmanship. Inside my work boots and other padded gear longevity has been excellent, far veyond foam life spans. I would rather spend extra once rather than buying something twice because of a foam where cells broke down forcing down time on another purchase. Just my experience, yours may vary.

I love these gloves but i got a question. When my gym opens back up can i use these gloves during pad work or is the really hard padding not ideal for pad work?
Awesome Review Just bought XL version, paid 143 felt I needed a good pair of bag gloves, was using winnings, so what are benefits on specific bag gloves over training gloves performance wise
Thanks man! Bag specific gloves typically have denser/ more shock absorbing foam so it dispersed the force of the punch over your knuckles to save your hand from injury. It allows you to typically punch with full force without sacrificing wrist support and hand protection
Well used them couple of times, like the feel of them extremely comfortable, Being my first Rival gloves, are all Rivals inner linnings sweat wicking ability, this bad, feels like they need full day to air out, compared to a winning or cletos, I think the issue I find is that big warning 2x2 sign inside the glove that is a sweat trap, while more establised older brands just have a small disclaimer
Thinking about buying one pair of those, any advice comparing to reyes extra padding and sabas? the reyes extra padding gives me wired feeling on bags, feels like crush the whole pad to my fist when hitting the bag, and my hands are powerless, shaking when I got home; the sabas kind like went though the gloves and hurt my fingers on bags. Thank you!
A more comfortable hand compartment than Reyes and the padding is more dense than both Reyes and Sabas because of the layer of D3O it uses. These feel great on the bag because they absorb shock very well and the hand compartment is ergonomic.
Well if you sign up for their newsletter they give you 20% off right off the bat, and throughout the month they always do promotions especially around each holiday, especially the major ones like memorial day, veterans day, etc. The best sale is probably the black friday and cyber monday sales as they typically have a higher discount and sometimes free shipping.
Carlo, I thought about these for the bag but now I need your help. Cleto Reyes bag mitts or Cleto Reyes training gloves. I’m not sparring. Only bag work twice a week. Hope you see this soon and yours is the best review channel in the genre. You’re the only one I’d hang out with. I’m 5’9” 188. But I hated amateur fighting with giant gloves so I want to stay smaller. Bag mitts seem like the choice but is spending the extra $60 for around 14 oz (I know that they run heavy) better for my wrists? They’ve been broken. Rival has the comfort but Cleto has the quality. Please help. Need more cardio in my gym life. 🥊
So , what glove if any offers similar or close to the same knuckle and wrist protection that only weigh about 13 ozs? I ordered a pair of these in XL and feel they are bit too bulky and still prefer my old RB11's because of the size difference
Hey bruddah, myself having wrist issues are these gloves good with wrist protection? And also, do you think the Rival RB1 Ultra Bag Gloves are just as good with wrist protection? I appreciate your time.
Yes they are especially with the wrist closure system that rises a little higher up on the wrist towards the palm. I haven’t tried the RB1 yet so I couldn’t give you an honest answer on that... yet
had the gold XL version of these for over a year, training 4-5 times per week hitting bags and pads. The gloves themselves are very durable and I doubt they would rip on you. The quality and protection of the glove for the first 6 months was unrivalled to any other glove I've used, but the bare minimum amount of padding has been very compacted due to the heavy use and now the protection is no where near what it used to be. For the price, I would've liked them to last longer, but depending how often and hard you use them, they may last longer for you
TheLoras Yes, in every aspect. Quality, craftsmanship, everything. However these are probably better for hitting the bag but the Winning is a better all-around glove.
Last question: :) Do you know of any other glove made with leather that has the similar dense foam as the RB10 or RB11? Been using the RB11 and I really like the foam and hand positioning BUT its fricken steamy hot, feels as if I have a plastic bag liner on my hand from the moment I put my hand inside of it. Wrist protection is great but honestly about the same as my 16oz Top Kings, definitely a gimmick and not needed.
@@csquaredboxing perhaps its the latex and EVA combo that is contributing to that. Funny how both gloves claim they have some type of air flow technology.
@@csquaredboxing One last question . Just curious if the idea behind this glove is to protect your knuckles/hand and wrist from the heavy bag then doesn't it make more sense to have a softer to dense foam instead of rock hard? Ive noticed that I can go much harder on the bag then with other gloves with no pain yet do feel fatigue in my hands and wrist. No pain but feels as if I just did a wrist and hand weight workout.
That’s a good one, id say overall I like the RB10 for protection, but as an overall glove probably rs11v because of the shape of the hand and the feel of the foam padding
They're 2 gloves with different purposes. The RS11V is a very superior glove. Very pillowy feel to it, the PU leather is very high quality, very snug. Honestly the best fitting glove for me. I use a 18oz and the wrist support is amazing. However due to the fact its a sparring glove. Its solely made for the purpose. The RB10 has different padding as you see which is meant for bag and mitt work, made out of rich PU leather as well If you want something in between youll want to look a hybrid gloves So depending what youre looking for its up to you. I have both the RB10s and the 11V, best decision ive made when purchasing those gloves. i have large hands and i hit hard. These gloves let me hit with confidence. RIVALS overall are a superior brand for boxing. Believe the hype
These or Guerro HDEF bag gloves? Right now the new intellishock loma series are out of stock but these and Guerro HDEf are available. If the price were the same, would you go with these RB10 with intellishock or Guerro without intellishock?
csquaredboxing I agree bro, D3o is a cool technology and this glove can give nice feedback but in terms of shock obsorbtion it didn’t make sense to me yet, here is why; something hardening may not really protect what is inside by hardening. Imagine a car crash; if the car’s hood gets hardens on impact, you d die in it immediately but if the car hood softens and moves with the impact, than it will obsorb the whole impact, that is why we have air bag technology not a hardening hood in our cars
Greetings. I have just started getting into boxing. My fingers are 8.5inches from the base of my palm to the tip of my middle finger. I measured around my knuckles and they measure 9.5 inches Can you recommend me a 16oz glove to ht the heavy bag with. Cost not an issue (within reason....not $500 dollars). @@csquaredboxing Good morning Carlos. I ordered, and received, Infinitude Fight's Harrier Pro Hook & Loop gloves. It is a solid and wonderful product. It only took 6 days to get from Pakistan to the Southwest United States. Globalization at it's finest. The fit is slightly snug on my fingertips (thumb and main finger compartment). I have noticed they have slowly broken in as I wear them each day. Nice leather (smells like a new leather handbag). Stitching is fine. I would not hesitate to recommend Infinitude Fight to someone looking to purchase a fine product at a very low price. It is a handmade product. I would urge others to take a chance on them. You cannot beat the price. Neither can one beat the time period from order till they were on my hands. Thanks for the recommendation.
I noticed you got the xl for these and L for rb11 would you say the fit of rb11 has more room than than a rb10 in Large would? Talking finger department wise and which is more compact between the two
Ay bro. So ive been watching ur vids for like 2 years and im just starting to get into boxing, so what are the best but cheap. Boxing gloves for training and heavy bag? Pls respond. Ik u know alot
I appreciate the support! When you say cheap im assuming you mean affordable? I'd say a more affordable but quality glove would be the Rival RB-2, DMB Boxing Gloves, Triumph United Death Adders.
Are these the most protective bag gloves on the market? The D30 is definitely legit when it comes to shock absorbance, but is it implemented well to be more than a gimmick?
No, the D30 is protective, works well, I wouldn't say a "gimmick", but there are other gloves out there that offer the same level of protection without the fancy wording. My Title Foam Channel gloves are a great example of a glove that offers equal protection at half the price.
Is Rival RB11 Evolution better or Rival RB 10 intelli-shock? What's the difference between the two and are the RB11 just a newer updated version of the RB10
I like the rb11 a little more as the rb10 with the intellishock feels a little gimmicky. The rb11 is also cheaper and uses the same wrist support technology
Between rb1, rb10, rb11 and rb80 which would you recommend (and why) for the best protection on a really hard bag. The 10's and 11's seem nearly identical. Cheers
@@csquaredboxing thank you, that made my decision for me. Now I just hope I get the right size so the cuffs close tight enough, like you mentioned in your video. Long fingers, big knuckles with thin wrists can be tough to accommodate.

A more comfortable hand compartment than Reyes and the padding is more dense than both Reyes and Sabas because of the layer of D3O it uses. These feel great on the bag because they absorb shock very well and the hand compartment is ergonomic.
@@csquaredboxing Thank you! Do you have any idea when is the best deal for title website during the year?
Well if you sign up for their newsletter they give you 20% off right off the bat, and throughout the month they always do promotions especially around each holiday, especially the major ones like memorial day, veterans day, etc. The best sale is probably the black friday and cyber monday sales as they typically have a higher discount and sometimes free shipping.
@@csquaredboxing Thank you so much
Carlo, I thought about these for the bag but now I need your help. 🥊
th-cam.com/video/aMEanJ97V9E/w-d-xo.html
Bag mitts for sure
And thank you appreciate the support as well 🙏🏼
Would you recommend getting the RB10, RB50 or the Guerrero’s? Regardless of price. Great video btw man
Rb50
So , what glove if any offers similar or close to the same knuckle and wrist protection that only weigh about 13 ozs? I ordered a pair of these in XL and feel they are bit too bulky and still prefer my old RB11's because of the size difference
Hey bruddah, myself having wrist issues are these gloves good with wrist protection? And also, do you think the Rival RB1 Ultra Bag Gloves are just as good with wrist protection? I appreciate your time.
Yes they are especially with the wrist closure system that rises a little higher up on the wrist towards the palm. I haven’t tried the RB1 yet so I couldn’t give you an honest answer on that... yet
csquaredboxing Thanks man, I really appreciate the feedback. Have a great day 🤙🏼
Is XL equivalent to 16oz?
It’s supposed to be but I weighed these and they came in around 15 ounces if I can remember
csquaredboxing cool thanks for the feedback
The associates at Rival told me approximately 14oz
Between the original RB10 (no ratchet strap) and the original Rival RB2, which would you recommend for bag work and why?
How did these hold up bro just concerned on the durability I hit pretty hard and sometimes “ durable”
Gloves rip on me
had the gold XL version of these for over a year, training 4-5 times per week hitting bags and pads. The gloves themselves are very durable and I doubt they would rip on you. The quality and protection of the glove for the first 6 months was unrivalled to any other glove I've used, but the bare minimum amount of padding has been very compacted due to the heavy use and now the protection is no where near what it used to be. For the price, I would've liked them to last longer, but depending how often and hard you use them, they may last longer for you
Can I use them for padwork or is it going to cause problems for the person holding the pads
Yeah you can, and no it won’t cause problems for the pad holder
@@csquaredboxing are winnings gloves better than these gloves?
As dense as rb10 I’d say title ARtech which can get a little hot as well
@@csquaredboxing perhaps its the latex and EVA combo that is contributing to that. Funny how both gloves claim they have some type of air flow technology.
Agreed, more gimmick than anything lol
@@csquaredboxing One last question . Just curious if the idea behind this glove is to protect your knuckles/hand and wrist from the heavy bag then doesn't it make more sense to have a softer to dense foam instead of rock hard? Ive noticed that I can go much harder on the bag then with other gloves with no pain yet do feel fatigue in my hands and wrist. No pain but feels as if I just did a wrist and hand weight workout.
good honest review!
Thanks!
Hi,may I ask which one is better between RB10 ang RS11V in your opinion?
That’s a good one, id say overall I like the RB10 for protection, but as an overall glove probably rs11v because of the shape of the hand and the feel of the foam padding
They're 2 gloves with different purposes.
The RS11V is a very superior glove. Very pillowy feel to it, the PU leather is very high quality, very snug. Honestly the best fitting glove for me. I use a 18oz and the wrist support is amazing. However due to the fact its a sparring glove. Its solely made for the purpose.
The RB10 has different padding as you see which is meant for bag and mitt work, made out of rich PU leather as well
If you want something in between youll want to look a hybrid gloves
So depending what youre looking for its up to you.
Guerrero hdef
csquaredboxing
I agree bro, D3o is a cool technology and this glove can give nice feedback but in terms of shock obsorbtion it didn’t make sense to me yet, here is why;
something hardening may not really protect what is inside by hardening.
Imagine a car crash; if the car’s hood gets hardens on impact, you d die in it immediately but if the car hood softens and moves with the impact, than it will obsorb the whole impact, that is why we have air bag technology not a hardening hood in our cars
Are these also for hitting pads with a trainer as well?
I'd hit anything but a person with these lol
What glove do you think has the absolute best wrist support? I'm looking for a bag glove that will give me the best support on my wrists. Thanks
Are they good for mittes?
Yes definitely great on the mitts
I am looking to take up a hobby and have a great workout...not train to fight. I have enjoyed watching your videos. You appear to be knowledgeable. Thank you for any help you can provide. I will be purchasing a NAZO heavy bag based on your review. Thanks bro.
Try infinitude harrier ot Russian boxer
Talking finger department wise and which is more compact between the two
I would say that’s a fair assessment
Can you do the Rival RB5?
Will do! I’m doing the new Rival RB50 as well!
@@csquaredboxing Awesome, cant wait to see!
I'm 5'5 52kg
Can I still buy the XL or would you recommend going small ?
I would go with Large, this Gloves are compact as it is
Which one is better rb10 d3o or the rb11 ?
I prefer the 10
Do you prefer rival rb10 or new rival rfx guerrero intelli shock?
The new intellishock
@@csquaredboxing thank you
@@csquaredboxing awesome thx bro, now im 16 180 or something, what size glove should i get? Idk if 16oz is gonna be to big or what
Which one do you recommend Rb10, Rb11 or rb80 for bag work?
Rb11
@@csquaredboxing I’m 5’8 do you think XL gloves are too big for me since I want to get heavier bag gloves?
Newbie question but Can you use these for sparing ?
No
These or rb50?
Rb50
Are these the most protective bag gloves on the market? The D30 is definitely legit when it comes to shock absorbance, but is it implemented well to be more than a gimmick?
No, the D30 is protective, works well, I wouldn't say a "gimmick", but there are other gloves out there that offer the same level of protection without the fancy wording. My Title Foam Channel gloves are a great example of a glove that offers equal protection at half the price.
Why XL size? You're not that big
Fit me comfortably
Is Rival RB11 Evolution better or Rival RB 10 intelli-shock? What's the difference between the two and are the RB11 just a newer updated version of the RB10
I like the rb11 a little more as the rb10 with the intellishock feels a little gimmicky. The rb11 is also cheaper and uses the same wrist support technology
Between rb1, rb10, rb11 and rb80 which would you recommend (and why) for the best protection on a really hard bag. The 10's and 11's seem nearly identical. Cheers
Rb11 on a really hard bag because it has the multi layer foam and harder density for shock protection and specially on a harder bag
@@csquaredboxing thank you, that made my decision for me. Now I just hope I get the right size so the cuffs close tight enough, like you mentioned in your video. Long fingers, big knuckles with thin wrists can be tough to accommodate.
Great video, will you be doing a heavybag video wearing these?
I'm doing an uppercut bag video with these coming out tomorrow!
At first you might not see the advantage of D3O, but it will last "forever". You cant break these gloves
Cool
China?? Fuck that.. I'll get venum 3.0
