Bosnia - Croat attack on Moslem returners

A Croat mob stoned UN police vehicles in the Bosnian village of Jajce Sunday (3/8) as they went on a rampage that drove out more than 300 Moslems who had returned to the Croat-controlled town. The arrival of former Moslem residents of Jajce three weeks ago triggered a series of Croat demonstrations in the village.

SOT (in English) Major Chris Riley, SFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, saying they stand by and allow acts of violence to dictate the outcome of the problem; if there is a threat to life and limb SFOR has the capability to step in and protect lives, but it it the responsibility of the local authorities to find a peaceful solution.
