I love the soundtrack music! It's from later than 1920 (in fact the good fidelity proves it was done in the 'electrical' recording process, which was new around 1925). I'd put this arrangement closer to the end of the decade. This is truly 'jazz', in the original, 1920s sense of syncopated pop music, which 'lilted', but did not swing. Lots of 9s and 13s in the chords.
Mr Lloyd is an absolutely outstanding performer. But to do what he’s doing up that high, acting drunk…he easily could have fallen to his death. Does anyone wonder how he got back onto the ledge after hanging by his fingers? I’m amazed that this extraordinary risk was allowed.
When cloves, corkscrews and footrails went out of fashion - I assume this means the very beginning of prohibition in the USA which was two years earlier?

I adore Lloyd & he & Davis( his future wife had such chemistry on screen
Lloyd's my second favorite silent comedian after Buster Keaton. Both were absolutely amazing athletes in addition to being very funny.
Wow, Harold was handsome, dig his hair cut too
Roach, Lloyd... Pure american cinematic history.
I just love these silent films, especially with Harold Lloyd
No one:
Me:

Also me: the doctor looks like Dr. Mike!!
It's the white skin and glasses for me

Poor Lloyd's son Harold Lloyd, Jr. Not every genius sires a genius!

Che bello il dottore
What a SWINDLER! 😲
this movie is 102 years old.
Before Harold Llloyd wor his famous boater hat that was made of stitched straw.😊
The main actor lost a finger in one the stunts of his many movies. ( right hand )
And his right thumb. It happened about a year before this. He is wearing a glove with fingers sewn together to conceal it
@@painin2teeth So, he lost index finger and thumb? Wow. Thank you for this information. Now I have the story straight.
To come back after an injury like that shows incredible resilience.
Notice at 31 sec into video what looks like 2 burning marijuana cigarettes hence name of the video
18:53 - La sonámbula.
Whaaat!....no Snub Pollard in this short.... better have Bebe Daniels....no...? not even little William Buckwheat Thomas....? no........oh dear🙄))
Is it copyright free to use parts of this video
so thats how they used to get married in the past
Majority of these actors were born in 19th century

I like Harold Lloyd but I don't think he's as funny or handsome as Buster.
