Glad to help...,yes it rather disconcerting the "Factory manual" would be illustrating something as Critical as reassembly of your front forks and getting it Wrong.,resulting in Forks that would then be completely "locked" and unable to work..!!!
Wow, Brian. What a fantastic video on how to break down the ZRX’s forks. Very helpful to see them expertly disassembled (especially given that I have the 2002 model) thanks Brian, and looking forward to part 3 😊👍
Glad it was helpful Edmund... Like I was saying previously...,all too often these things are "rushed through" leaving you with so many unanswered questions. I want to take "each stage" and cover it in its entirety in detail so those following along feel "confident" to tackle their own as a result.. Part 3 to follow...stay tuned. God bless BG
Brian you make a very good point here, Yes the manual is wrong. I have a 2007 ZRX1200R and my damper is different, the plastic bush that seats in the bottom of the tube has a small weak spring between the bush and the damper that I think keeps the bush seated in the base. Again I'm thinking the chrome main tube in normal operation would be above that bottom plastic tube forced up by the main spring. The chrome main tube would only enter that palstic bush only if you where close to bottoming out Had me scrching my head for while
very nice Brian.... hav to check my tubes are not locked in place when i put the forks back together.... cheers for that... 👍

I've worked on dozens of cars and bikes where the manual is wrong somewhere.
You get used to it after 40-odd years.
100%....👍
Happens a lot.......,always worth pointing out when and where it occurs though for those following along...
