Ignoring them is SOOOO satisfying. Because you get to heal and move on with your life and the narc is sooo upset because they thought the world revolved around them, and you showed them that it doesn't.

Not everyone is privileged to escape a narcissist. I am living 31 years with a narcissistic father because I have no choice. I am not healthy to work and support myself especially after taking 3 Pfizer vaccines. But I have learnt to cope with my father. What to do, no choice, but it is okay. I no longer talk to my two brothers nor my sister from my family of origin and I am proud of that because I couldn't live with myself feel like I had a one-way trip being the way third youngest and all that stuff. (But that's not why I ended it, it's because of the other nonsense that happened in to my 40s) I moved 2,300 mi away from those people decades before I knew there was a problem with my so-called the status in my so-called family of origin decades ago. He is genetically loaded by his dad, inheridet his alcohol addiction, and at first I just didn't get it. Because I'm a lot of things, but I'm not an evil person. I had a normal to good upbringing and I couldn't, for the life of me, understand why the man that says he loves me, would make me cry, confusing me, making me unhappy and was in no way approachable to discuss what was going on. Called her every name in the book. Gaslit, stole from her purse, a lot, played mind fuck games, dropped a tv remote from high in the air and dropped it on her nose injured her while she slept on her back then commented to her” I’m so disappointed you thought I had anything to do with this” he turned around and back to sleep. They want you to suffer they design your whole environment into making you feel whatever will hurt you the most based on the input you give them. Now I learn to stop and be silent constant fighting won't end it, they want you to be obsessed, they want you to be hurt constantly. I am learning to let go completely and not care. Stop trying to solve something you can't solve no matter how much effort you put into it. Stop the constant cycle of pain and trauma.

You’ve got to be so desperate, insecure, and highly incapable of real connections to pull off emotional scams like that on the very people you’re supposed to love, respect, and uplift aka your children. I never knew how dysfunctional we were until I had permanent physical, emotional and psychological distance from them. Peace to all the truth tellers, freedom fighters, and scapegoats. Almost 1 year no contact and I no longer care, reached a point of real apathy (including innocent members) and my life is now my focus, my mission, and my reward. I still have emotional flashbacks and might likely have to deal with it for the rest of my life, which I accept as an opportunity for growth, but I sure no longer take a whole damn day or two just to get out of it. And I learned shortly after my break up with my ex that she enjoyed the negative attention almost as much as the positive she got before that. This was before I knew what she was but it really took me for a turn when she showed it.

I walked most of the Camino Santiago to try to distance myself and heal from family drama. Lots of praying as well for strength.

Smear campaign, and very vindictive too. When they know you see them, they will often have no bars on what they do to destroy your reputation, rather than anyone else finding out their deep levels of shame and manipulative and controlling behaviours. I can still hold empathy for them but from a very safe distance! Learning boundaries is essential in that

It's incredibly hard to do when the narcissist is still living in the same house.
    I. Am. So. Exhausted.
