Honestly I like the old artstyle better all the modern pixel RPGs backgrounds look so ugly. And I really prefer the old backgrounds that aren’t too zoomed in and have lots of detail

I think the most likely thing for them to do is make the game in the cell shading style used for most games that have Toriyama art styles like Dragon Quest and every Dragon Ball game.
