Overseas Filipinos are everywhere, from the west to the east, occupying a myriad of employment. Do you think that more Filipino's are keen on moving out of the nation or will they one day come back? Let us know down below!

Behind Asia, how can you make an issue of having high unemployment in the Philippines then ask if the overseas Filipinos will return home? In fact, it works out for the world when so many countries are in need of people specially in the professional fields. Furthermore, Filipinos are not your average world migrants. They speak English adequately, have multiple skills and professions accepted in the West and are known to be hard and honest workers. Your video presentation should provide a balanced feedback but instead seem to point heavily on the negatives.
One idea you should consider for your next Asian video is: why Philippine colleges and universities are ranked so low compared to other Asian universities but yet there seem to be an absence of other Asian migrant professionals in European and North American employment. Doesn’t this prove that their school ranking system is so skewed?

2nd? My guy you lack in reliable news and documentaries. Let me give u an example on how we're gonna be effed up in the future by giving u our Automotive industry status. Back then, most of the cars in the streets (most probably Toyota's and Honda's) were manufactured here in the Philippines. But what the hell happened? Other neighboring countries caught up to us by giving offers investors really want, so what happened? They left us. Thailand is now the Asian Detroit because most of the car models are being produced there, Indonesia is developing a Toyota Innova Electric car my guy while we here haven't even normalized focusing on the path of having Electric Vehicles. Which means that our country doesn't focus on our economy anymore because they're focusing on oligarchy. And I say we're so far away from being 2nd next to Singapore.
Next is that Manila bay you've been defending, I oppose that because that was made in the middle of the pandemic wherein people needed help financially, MSME's are closing because they lack subsidies. I mean if you're going to get practical even though that project was planned before the pandemic, why can't they use it to help the needy instead? Addition to that Manila bay rehab, Why use dolomite when you could use Mangrove trees to avoid flood? That cheaper and more useful.
According to your sayings, I think I now know who you're voting for this upcoming election.

Filipinos are complaining that compensation is the reason why skilled professionals are leaving. The solution really is a FREER MARKET. Salary is the price of labor. Increase the demand for jobs - in this case you can do that if many investors (foreign and domestic) are competing because they will need people to run their businesses. Increase in demand for jobs will naturally increase the asking price of labor (salaries and wages) particularly skilled ones. The problem is also red tape, corruption and the rule of law. Work on them, and you'll have a truly competitive economy that everybody can benefit from. If the presidential candidate you are rooting for is silent about creating serious jobs and opportunities, it's time to think if he or she is worth your vote.

I lived in Southeast Asia for almost 40 years and base on what I know, experienced and seen, age brackets and educational background is less important. A 70 yrs. old are still hireable in non discriminatory country like Singapore and Thailand. Even Malaysian, Cambodian, Vietnamese senior citizen were seing working in the office, hotels and other decent working environment. Ppl hired to be trained and not becoz of their age and educational attainment. I myself was in a high ranking positions at work in other countries where I impossibly get in the Phils. w/o a university diploma and backer. Lol, even Filipino workers have hard time getting in positions here in the Philippines unless you have a powerful backer... It's more of a political thing than discriminatory, discrimination is still present ofcourse, especially if you are a Muslim, a non-white, or other Asian outside of Korean and Japanese... Chinese are still discriminated here especially with the territorial disputes... But back to working in Philippines, it's mostly Political that gets you positions rather than discriminatory, having a Politician or a high ranking individual as a backer will guarantee you position, even uneducated ones here gets high position so long as they lick the boots of their politicians, it's a form of corruption going as far back as the Spanish Colonial era and is deeply rooted in the country so it's not a surprise that you think it's discriminatory for a reason, since it deeply favored the powerful and the whites in the first place

And to say as far as bullying? Man, have you really worked overseas? Assholes are everywhere, no matter the race and Filipinos are not known for being bullies. The last part says it all. It's all because of the gov't lacks of enterprenurial offerring to the education system. And also, makes you earn a lot overseas than in the PH.

2022: American media wagging their fingers on the war on drugs in the 🇵🇭 are simply a means for corporations protecting their interests to continue leveraging high quality English speaking low wage labor of Filipinos.

i once read a short inspirational story. here's how it went: all entrepreneurs go here in the Philippines to build a business because they know that the money is here, while Filipinos' mindset is to go abroad to find money.
now, my opinion to this bullsh*t of a story is this, we Filipinos believe that going abroad is one of the ways that we can get big money and still be treated well. meanwhile, those same entrepreneurs/capitalists exploit the CHEAP labor yet still get the great quality of service for their businesses. besides, they wouldn't be able to come here if they already don't have the money to start a business.

If there is no good job at home, one of the way to feed your family is to work aboard at the expense of leaving your family at home. It is definitely a waste of local education not to support local economy but aboard economy. So many home helpers working in HK, Taiwan and Singapore as care taker, who will help them to take care their family at home?

Just simply pass the board exam of the hiring country, then your salary is base on their professional level system….reality…. Thanks for American colonization for English speaking skills, without that there’s no ofw. But beneficial for both employer and employee, it’s urgent need. Rest of the benefits follows…..

Actually they work in foreign countries because of high currency than Philippines.. Ex: if work in US and you have a salary of $2700 and converted to Philippines money, it became P145,800 with the exchange currency of P45.00 per $1.. While here if they work maybe P10,000-P25,000.. The advantage is all product here in the Philippines are cheap if you go home with this amount from US to be spend... Filipinos dont go in a countries with low currencies.
My Brother is a IT graduate and employed here in the government but he resigned and go abroad at Belgium and work only as house caretaker but his salary converted here in the Philippines is P180,000.. That the so called "Eat your pride" for practical living.. While Chinese called Filipinos as maid etc. But their income is from illegal.. Druglord, immitation products, fake foods etc.
