Today I suddenly had the intention of going out on my motorcycle early in the morning and was unnable to watch this great video featuring a superb bike. What was supposed to be a not-so-long outing turned out to be a long 426.7km loop across three states (Guanajuato, Jalisco and San Luis Potosí) and over various types of roads, as well as types of landscape. I was able to pass in forests, green plains and a stretch of desert. Everything from 1,800 meters above sea level to 2,400. There were long straights, curves of all kinds between mountains. All that in my little Bajaj Pulsar NS 200. A lot of heat, a lot of fun and it is until now that night is falling that I see this video with a motorcycle that immediately captures the gaze as an object. An art object, more than a transport object. In the middle of a dust storm on the highway today, that chrome would end up scratched. But the bike is beautiful, the details it has magnificent. it would be kind of sad end to place it other than the road, but beauty has its toll. Gracias.
That is a very impress trip for a small motorcycle. Definitely not the kind of ride for this Honda Cb550. Yes, a chrome fuel tank is very delicate, and requires very careful.Thank you my friend for sharing your thoughts. :)Saludos.

I started to shiver as i see this bike for the first time. An absolute true beauty. She looks like a glamorous Hollywood Star ✨✨. Untouchable, unreachable. Gorgeous! AMBER 2 is State of the art like you said. She belongs to the sunshine state like Hollywood. I love to see the three sisters because it is fully my understanding of a cafe racer. I agree. Not a fan of chrome but this creation is absolutely gorgeous. A great example of a master craftsman breaking the established rules!

A very stunning build indeed! The use of chrome is a very nice touch on this simple, yet elegant design. Less is certainly more in this case. The lines are so clean, yet simple. "And as always" you are right Victor. Too much of anything can spoil the whole project. Kyle´s Amber 2 benefited from his Amber 1 build. Having that bike sitting aside and dreaming of a better version is what we got to see here on Racer TV.
Kyle from Thirteen and Company has a keen eye for detail and design. By painting the frame and painting the cylinder block black draws your eyes to the two most shiny parts, tank and rear cowl, in a side view of the bike.
If he had nickel plated or chrome plated the frame it could have been too much. By painting the cylinder block black ties in the two tires and fills the center void nicely I think.
Could the same version bike by two different people win "Best of Racer TV" this year in 2022?

Thanks for the inspiration, beautiful bike. I have a tiny 50cc Puch project, total chopped, fat tires, black spike wheels, enlarged back suspension bascule, rear pedals mount, low front fork, racing steering bars, seat will be only a sheet metal with a foam glued. Very important is that the bike will stay 50cc. No lights needed just pure racing with a cheap condensate ignition (map programable).Frame and tank and all components in a unique color......maybe Bordeaux Red??? Bufffff, the color is what drives me crazy, so many nice options. One thing is 100% clear to me, i don´t want a black frame, no, never. Cheers Maestro i love your Bike !!!!! Greetings from Barcelona

0143 hours and I'm watching your latest video. Excellent timing! Definitely like the shape of the 75 tank which blends well with the shape of the seat. By the way the bike appears to be at the Bonneville Salt Flats where another rider I know broke a world record on his 750 Honda.

I agree with you 100% that too much chrome is just that, too much. With this bike though, I feel that the chrome was the perfect choice. The 70's Japanese motorcycles, at least for me, are the perfect candidates for customization. The inline 4 cylinder is such an iconic look, that begs to be re- imagined. The shape of the tanks are almost perfection to finish off an already beatiful design, especialy the Kawasakis. They have a voluptuous look to them, and they always look like they were meant to be there. The tank is generaly the first thing that gets noticed, and on this bike with it being gently massaged into something other than it started out to be, is the crown jewel...

Eu já comentei aqui, como meu gosto mudou ao longo dos anos, aos poucos migrando das streetfighters para as clássicas.. um processo que se assemelha a "aprender a ver a beleza por outro ângulo". Eu realmente gostava da 550 do Sebastian mas me lembro quando vi a 550 parruda e agressiva da Cardsharper.. ela me fez repensar esse conceito 😂
Com a Honda 550 desse vídeo, acho que novamente a balança pendeu para o lado das clássicas: ainda apela para a "modinha" da fita de LED na traseira ( que aliás também está presente nas outras duas motos ), mas em compensação tem uma harmonia estética e uma pureza simplesmente encantadora. Ao meu ver, superando sim o projeto do Sebastian.. entre outras coisas, com o conjunto assento/rabeta mais natural.
Mas eu não poderia deixar de comentar a bela 125 do Filipe Carvalho, mostrada rapidamente: nem parecendo ser uma moto dessa cilindrada, talvez a mais harmônica e proporcional 125 que já vi até hoje.

Olá Robinson. Ao ler o seu comentário, é curioso ver como é difícil escolher a abordagem certa para uma Cafe Racer. Eu próprio ainda não sei se gosto mais do projecto do Sebastian, ou desta. Quando à 125 do Filipe Carvalho, é sem duvida uma moto muito bonita. Curiosamente, ele adoptou o mesmo esquema de cores/cromado na sua actual Royal Enfield 500, e ficou igualmente lindíssima. A plataforma CB 550 é tão maravilhosa, que dificilmente se erra ao montar uma Cafe Racer. As duas CBs fritas pelo Kyle são muito sexys e quanto a questão da primeira a ser feita, há alguns vários anos temos motos muito semelhantes a essas sendo feitas, sendo difícil afirmar quem fez a primeira. As primeiras que me vem a cabeça são as construções da Kott Motorcycles ( apesar de serem um pouco menos refinadas na minha opinião).

Sim, os projectos da Kott Motorcycles foram relativamente inovadores para a altura que os fizeram, mas pessoalmente, nunca gostei muito da escolha dos pneus mais modernos. E é nesta escolha que os projectos do Kyle me parecem ser mais clássicos e elegantes que os da Kott Motorcycles :) Um abraço.

Yet another "Spectacular" motorcycle, you have to be "Brave" to not use paint, with Chrome, polished or brushed Steel or Aluminium, you're telling the world that your work is "Perfect", I did one in "Copper" a short while ago, & I know how hard it is to make something look "Simple" & the amount of hard work that goes into that, I had my mate Dave do mine, he's a raggedy little man with the Hands & an Eye of an Angel, he made me an oil tank out of an old fridge door & it was beautiful, he really is that good., I'm OK with the rest but getting something that good is beyond me, they aren't even that good straight from the factory, I was looking at doing a "Polished" Yamaha FZR "Genisis" with "Stainless Steel" fairings, but it looked "A Bit Shit" as you said "you lose the lines", fortunately, I sold them on & the guy loves it, but everyone else thinks"It's A Bit Shit" too, my beautiful wife says "Less is More" I've always been a "Pile it High & Wide" but I do show restraint on a build because too much makes people think you are trying too hard, then you lose your customers. The other bike you showed with the "Angled" cowl, that tank was "Awesome" the knee dents were beautiful & the paint was flawless & the colour just suited it so well, I get the feeling we will be seeing more of "Thirteen" in the future. Thank you.

It will be very hard to beat this one no doubt about it!!, that said, here comes... but the rear lights are the cheap led strip from e-bay that has been widely used in every cheap-ugly project bikes all around the world?, well from these guys I really expect something more elaborated, ( is my humble opinion), I see the builder comment, congrats Victor, stunning work “as always”

Yes love it however a Grimeca style 4ls racing front brake would look better and stop just as well possibly with less fade when setup right. Chrome tanks are banned in some countries due to hazardous reflection.
Beautifull bike for shure, but the mecanic in me cries, when I see those open intakes with nothing between tthem and the rear tire..

Lol. You are right. My Honda CX650 has a polished upper triple tree, and the sun reflection is a problem, when I ride it between Midday and 1:00 PM, Even with sunglasses. Lol. But i can live with it. Cheers.

For me, the best bikes are the Ember and the Honda CB550 Cafe Racer from Unikat Motorworks. It is true what you say, too much chrome is not good, but in this case it is different because of the style of the bike... on other bikes chrome does not look good
