I saw them live when they toured for this album. Every song had a nod to a funk or soul tune. It was one of the greatest live shows I’ve ever seen. Brilliant!!!
Oh yeah at 2:55, Dulli quotes the line “Guess I should known by the way you park you car sideways that it wouldn’t last…” lyric Good catch… AW one my favs
Rick McCollum holding his guitar at a 60 degree angle and sounding coherent with the high chord note motifs is so horrible of a degree of difficulty that an East German judge in a bad mood would score him a 10 on what he did here
been looking for this for years....... Great Performance. Also this episode of Conan was one of the best ever. Not only were the Whigs on, but Triumph the insult comic dog was on, believe it was the Westminster dog show one...... Arguably one of the best nights in Conan History
I'm pretty sure it was a guitar string. If they were new strings, and the high E wasn't wrapped properly on the head stock, it most certainly could have come right off like that.
@GoteeDevotee Did'nt you know god has resurrected the Whigs. Well, at least temporarily. For two dates they will play in London and New Jersey this year. Not sure what is to happen after that.
Only DULLI can make that Red Corvette reference and pull it off without looking like a douche bag. Where the fuck is music these days? It's all gone to the vegans and hipsters. Oh how I would love to relive my time in the 90's all over again.....
This album is so good. These guys have always been underrated. I saw their first outdoor show at Washington park in OTR Cincinnati.

I saw this when it aired. The "Little Red Corvette" reference was genius

Gosh. I wish Rick would come back and i need these background vocalists.. ALWAYS
1965 is such a great record!
So underrated at the time, reaping the benifit now.
Song with fairytale sounds of 90's!!! Thanks for nice vibes from past time of my life!
She's all that😩✋💞
Most underated band of the nineties.
Just saw these guys perform at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. Unbelievable performance by one of the best bands ever. Mindblowing!
Always loved seeing them on Conan and Letterman. 1965 was a great tour to see live, they went all out on that one
Such a great album. At 29. He lets go of the shortest E string ever strung. Seemed toast from get go. What a sexy song. Love em.

His tone is unmatched

Come on, come on little rabbit...show me...! GREAT! Super band!
@mattleo911 Afghan Whigs Reuniting for First Concerts in 13 Years. Sept 22, 2012 in Asbury Park, NJ. You get your wish, see you there
@bigtophalloween Shit, Dulli seriously kicks some ass. Do agree old dulli is a genius.
Should have top 40 song during that year.
His guitar is too loud... but this song is the sexiest song ever. (If you can imagine balanced guitar)
6 years ago but still, it's not too loud, but the highs are muted. Awesome performance regardless.
This group rocks! I would love to find musicians who would play some of this stuff in NJ.
always loved that telecaster...
AAAAhhhh goosebumps this is soooo gooood
So damn smooth
Great performance. Thanks.
Not 'final album' any more :-)
this is perfect for me
I noticed that too! im waiting for a response from someone who knows a thing about guitar to coment
Mr Dulli et al... I would like a reunion please. Thank you, ARC
@YummyBaer Not in album version but it should've been. Either way killer band.
I said HEY BAAYBEH, I DON'T got enough GAS!!! OH YEAH!!!
Classic performance!!!
Greg breaks a string about 3 seconds into the song
If god chose to manifest this year or soon, I'm going to hope his wish is for the Whigs to reform -who is with me?
Aye.
Great Fucking Song

This song was in some stupid teen movie in the late 90's, and i remember thinking "man, the whigs are really going to break into the mainstream now!"
dash3640, yeah it was in “10 things I hate about you.”
The teen movie 'She's All That' is what brought me here. Certainly not the greatest movie, but this song sure is, so I had to learn more about it. 😊
It wasnt a guitar string. It wouldve stayed attached at the headstock. Still cant figure out what the hell it was though.
DULLI!
@nash2201 Nope, I saw that too.

@hotapplepie15 nope I didn't but thanks. I'll thank god personally when I see him
One chick got it -

The Cardigans - Erase/Rewind
@ kennheiser, ain't it a surfcaster?
Did Dulli break a guitar string 30 seconds into the video? It looks like it, but I can't tell for sure.
at :29 seconds something falls off the lead singers guitar...looks to me like a guitar string? anyone confirm if he plays without 1 strong
It's his E string. It was toast from get go.

If I ever go gay I will ask Greg Dulli to be my civil partner...
Yhis version with an electric sounds aweful
The keyboardist has no idea what he's doing.
Lol
