Call of Duty has been on a road that none of the original community wants to admit. Of all the TH-camrs, I wanted M3RK to speak on this the most. It's unfortunate that it had to be XLabs shutting down that got him to do it, but it needs to be said. They do not care about us, and they never will. All we can do as a community is support other games that have the ability to take down Activisions current hold on this genre. Thank you M3RK for saying something.

What's funny is that those old games are literally unsafe to play online. They're full of hackers and vulnerabilities that can compromise your system , especially on PC. Plutonium and such launchers were literally the only viable and safe alternative to still play those games. Activision Blizzard 🤡
its hit or miss on the console versions but for PC though most of the older ones are safe because any cod from bo1 and before you can join custom servers which have no hackers because they have admins on 24/7 i still play the original cod and no cheaters now if the console versions did this they'd be more safe
I play mw3 on ps3 quite regularly not many players active but its good uncommon to get hackers

This is very similar to when Rockstar games tried to shut down Open IV (Google it, best modding tool for GTA) several years ago. Rockstar claimed that they were going after any mod that would negatively effect the multiplayer mode. But Open IV was SPECIFICALLY for single player and the GTA community saw right through the bullshit. Especially when there were still cheaters on the PC version despite Rockstar's claims. Long story short, there was a mass outcry from the GTA community and people went after GTA V's reviews across the board. It's Meta critic score even took a noticeable hit from this too. This ended up getting Rockstar's attention and they actually reversed their decision to shut down Open IV and it still exists to this day.
I recently uninstalled the MW2 2022 and wont be buying any further Activision/Blizzard products, I suggest everyone to do the same. Unshackle yourself from the oppressive actions Activision has performed over the last years. They took away our childhood, our origins... All for a quick buck.

Literally cod will ALWAYS have a place in my heart for my favorite gaming franchises, but it’s golden days are LONG behind it. Activision’s only interest at this point is shoving as much stuff as they can at us in the newer games(which aren’t very good). And do things to hurt the older cods and this is well just adding another nail on the coffin.
Too bad the majority of the playerbase won't care and keep playing.

I am an OLD COD player from Japan. In Japan, where I live, the PC version of COD is not a big deal, so I used to play COD4 mw2 BO2 using overseas servers with 100-280 ping. Activision's actions this time are destructive to the community and we need to protest them by not buying the next COD.

I stopped playing newer cod games little after Ghosts launched. Sometimes go back and play world at war. Spent a good 4-6 hrs in a 1v1 in a dude I found.

If that were the case, I believe our community could collectively address Activisions' perceived unethical practices and seek clarification and resolution. @@elidieslit not until a new vulnerability is discovered, and this is always a risk. iw4x was open source so the community can fix any bugs that come in. The vanilla games are the ones that have known unpatched vulnerabilities.

You are asking about what security issues there are? Oh ho. Hackers can access all your information by just joining the game. They can also inject malware into your system without doing anything. Those are the main issues and activision refuses to fix any of these exploits. Also its illegal in the EU to have a game up on the store that has security issues and what not. Idk man
