Yuneec q 500 drone with a lipo battery mod is well worth the price and better support on the landing supports. 2 lipo batteries tried with best results for me in very windy conditions, was 8,000 mah, 30C lipo with a good 15 minutes of flight time and a small reserve left. The 10,000mah battery got less flight time than other batteries. The plus was the battery was under $30 back when I made this video. After feedback from others 8000mah is the highest you can go before you start getting shorter flight times due to more weight. This adapter allows more options shopping for deals on batteries. 6,000mah to 8,000 11.1v lipo or 11.4v liHV will get you the maximum flight times. Bigger or smaller batteries will get less flight times. You can also combine 2 smaller batteries using a splitter adapter.

I installed the battery tray today. It's very sturdy and should support a wide range of batteries. Two things worth mentioning however, The drone will not fit into it's case with the tray mounted unless the transmitter is removed from the case and the gimble/camera guard will not go on unless the gimble/camera is removed from the quad.

what does it weigh compared to the original battery, and the tray and the adapter, ? you dont mention flight time,, ? weight, ? etc,,,, how about some specs. and your comment,, " you can hardly see it,,,,LOL are you kidding me??
Id like to add that i purchased one of these off ebay, pretty denect quality but not a perfect fit and also not easy to mount/dis-mount every time you need to use the drone. A warning thougjt, i used this and a big battery and it made my drone very unstable and crashed after a few trial and error trys so be careful and use turtlemode + dont fly in wind :)

I do have a Version 2 of the connector tray. It would allow you to insert one battery inside the drone while the connector wire runs under the battery to the outside. I know the GFI Power 5400mah 3s 11.1v battery it one of the batteries that does fit. Besides being able to now as a splitter and connect a second battery externally. You could use just the one battery, connect the wires and close the door. You will l be able too run a single battery inside with the door closed and no wires sticking out. Message me on eBay any I will substitute the V2 connector with your order.
Has anyone ever thought about using 18 650 batteries in parallel you can get them pretty cheap with 2500 mAh each, and you should be able to fit at least six of them on that tray , anybody's inputs or thoughts on if this might work or not?
with that big battery how long can you keep that bird up? and also can you place the factory battery back in place (inside the Q500) ) and also run the big 10,000 mah battery at the same time? you gave me a great idea i would like to leave the original battery but also run that external battery at the same time that should give me almost an hour of flying time. i hope! question is would that bird be able to lift them????
Putting more batteries Or larger them manufacture recommendations you will get less fly time. It will take more throttle to hold the same hover with double the weight. Bigger doesn't mean longer flight times. Funny thing you can put smaller battery and possibly get more fly time because your saving weight. Hope that helps any new pilots wanting to fly for 2 hours. Sorry you won't get More then 20 min.

Me and another tester both received refunds for those batteries. Other 10000mah batteries just cost to much money so far. Other batteries with 30c rating do work good. It's to hard to tell what minimum c ratings will work without just trying it. Since manufacturers both over and under rate there batteries.
Ricky Smith no doubt I've tried one of the HUBSAN X4PRO 25c Batteries like you show in this video and I've tried one of the Ovonic 11.1v it says 50c both separate I only get about 4min if I'm lucky what doesn't make sense is that the Yuneec Battery says it's a 25c And gets 25min Makes my head 💥 from🤔about it. I was wondering would you consider selling some of the 3D printed AABatteries that you use in one of your mod kits? I could use some to mod Some of my Radio transmitters to use lipo's instead of doing permanent mods to them

I always hand catch my yuneec typhoon drone and I fly it without the landing gear and at night. Man up.

You can run 2 batteries they just have to be the same mah and C discharge
