    I have this quad and still fly it quite a lot, including using in some professional videos. The only thing I would add to the review is when you install the props, once they just screw down and touch the rubber o-rings, use the included tool to rotate one and a quarter more rotations to get them very tight. I've read of props flying off, and this has never happened to me since I get them tight.

    As a newbie to the 4K, this is the most comprehensive review out there. Great info!

    Sounds pretty cool! The airport safety zone sounds like a great feature!

    I have Dji's, i have Hubsan but i still love flying my Typhoon Q500 4k, a quadcopter that never gave me a headache, most especially on the video quality...just bought my 3rd Q500 for collection 😁

    Its indeed a good review. What will be great is to see a comparison with the Phantom 3 4K series drone.

    I was like "pffft, DJI is better", then more and more features kept flowing and I'm like "Interesting!"
    Comes with handheld device! AA batterys are everywhere, and in dollar shops, or rechargeable. :)

    It's a very good drone. I got one. This one can compare to the DJI Inspire 1 except for the 360 degree camera rotation and dual operator mode. But came with more feature like steadygrip and built in monitor, easy to to fly and not have a mind of it's own(which all DJI drone have-Fly away) and cost less. I recommended this drone over any at this price range and up to $3K Drone and Yuneec have great customer service. CGO 3 App not so good and require Phones or tablets with 5GHz WIFI Connection not the 2.4GHz which is what most device use. The RAW .DNG photos can sometime have green tint, but JPEG are fine. It seem that DJI is following Yuneec now that they have the OSMO and follow me feature in their drones.

    I've had mine for about 3 years to get the best footage especially during those very sunny days is to get ND filters this also gets ride of the props , makes things look better. I do have issues at time there's some really big cons to this drone. One is battery life and getting batteries new Batteries can cost between $65-$130 the charger that comes with this is junk. The drone doesn't have obeject detection I got to close to the top of a tree and there it went. I was lucky and was able to get it back. My biggest complaint is the batteries though hard to get them, you usually are taking a chance with them if you order from China sometimes they won't charge. Also this drone can't do the circle motions. The video quality can be just as you see it, but there's things you have to do like going into manual mode

    The app always crashes or "fails to initialize camera" when using the steadygrip. That's my only complaint. Hopefully Typhoon will be releasing an update soon. Otherwise, everything else is great!

    Are these things easy to use right off the bat? Or how do you practice with out crashing them several times??

    • @BandH
      @BandH  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ekphotography - With the prop guards, and finding large open spaces outside
      to practice, injury and crashes should be brought to a minimum when learning to
      fly. The YUNEEC Q500 4K Typhoon Quadcopter’s controls are relatively easy to use when learning, but will require some practice and skill for master piloting. *Christina* askbh@bandh.com

      easy to use right off the bat !! Easiest drone there is, by far....

      ekphotography if you go with DJI it's almost impossible to crash one of those things unless you just steer it right into a tree or something

      +James Drake Instead of shooting in 4K mode, set the camera for 1080p mode. >Mark

    • @BandH
      @BandH  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jason Bradley - With a fully charged battery, the YUNEEC Q500 4K Typhoon
      Quadcopter should have a flight time of roughly 25 minutes. *Christina*

    I have DJI standard 3 and I prefer it over this drone it's so much easier to set up not all the calibration and waiting to get ready to fly that you have to do with this drone who wants to sit there for 5 minutes waiting for it to calibrate itself, the camera footage you see on the videos are on TH-cam have been edited so much that you just wouldn't believe it what you see is not what the camera does

    I like the picture footage, but I'm not convinced of the design. It's never a good selling point if the rotors can be seen in the footage, and why should the footage be cropped to eliminate this. Also, it makes no sense to include a display in the controller, only to have to use a smartphone in the handheld, and using truck loads of batteries to power the handheld? Why not power it with the lithium ion battery from the quad?

      +omkar jagtap Its a bad idea to get drones into India with the regulatory scenes. Try to buy from local dealers.

    the airport safety thing while you would think that's a good idea I'm 10 miles from the airport and mine won't fly unless I go up the road a ways about it to fly here around the house and play with in the yard with the grandkids I don't want to load them up every time we want to go out and play

      using AAA lithium batteries: bhpho.to/248LEON. >Mark
