the issue with this run is that rare candies are just as effective on level 99s as on level 3s, so once you get a lot of money in the midgame you snowball massively
@@nedalsoned9940 That would probably make it unbalanced in the opposite direction. Maybe something like it increases with the in-game timer, or you buy levelups directly rather than buying them as rare candies so you can make the price based on the actual level.
Easy fix I think to make things more interesting is that Rare Candies start at 100P, then go up 100P every time you buy one (a triangular system). That way it becomes harder to level the more you do it, just like real leveling. If the average caught/received Pokemon starts at lv30, and you wanted to get six of them to, say, 70, you'd need 240 candies. At 200P each, that'd cost 480,000P in a normal playthrough. With the triangular system, it'd be (((240+1) * 240) / 2) * 100 = 2,892,000P. If you only earned the 480k you'd normally spend on candies, that'd get you 97, enough to level each Pokemon to around 46-47. This would force the player to either a) come up with better strategies, b) battle more trainers for more money, or c) level up less Pokemon. I think that'd make a far more interesting challenge.

Btw, you could've had an infinite source of money. Every now and then in this game, you come across a Hoenn gym leader that you can battle as many times as you want. This generation is underrated in my opinion, I remember when I got Pokémon black when it came out and I loved it. Only games I haven’t played are x and y, can you blame me? Nah I’ll play those eventually (probably not)

Doesn't farming money make the challenge pointless
@@wereowl9369 depends on your view on it.
It does for some, but for others it’s a way of optimizing the challenge.
@@Moxtrots but if you optimize the challenge to the point where it is as easy if you hadn't of done the challenge then why do the challenge in the first place, novelty?
@@wereowl9369 fair point. Perhaps some may want to do the challenge, then use this optimization (by their definition) to make themselves feel smart or good at it.
As a person who plays pokemon games wrong all the time, I always love your twists when you play pokemon Smallant. Always fun to watch and see your strats
I actually watched this live but I am excited to watch it on video format XD
I love the fact that he just accidentally made a sand team
God I love the limited 3D they used in this game. Its so charming.
I love this game! Also blazeblack looks super fun, I've rlly been getting into the big romhacks lately because crow's been playing a lot of them on his channel
SmallAnt on a fan game? POG?
yoo shady!!
How is it possible that a verified comment not have many replies, and many likes?
6:28 that quick attack hit was right on beat
I love how you got a perfect nature for what you wanted Turnt2 to be. A DEFENSIVE BEAST
I think SmallAnt is one of the only streamers/TH-camrs I can watch for hours at a time and not get bored. It's also a huge bonus that hes Canadian as well.
Something about smallant makes me smile every time i watch him :)
"That's all I got for you today"
He says, while having streamed longer than the actual day itself. Absolute madlad
Yeah then realize the shirt changes like 6 times
U do know its more than one stream right?
How hard can this man make Pokémon games.
As someone who has Pokémon Black and White 2 as my favorite game in the franchise, this video was greatly enjoyed in my corner
29:22
Had this playing in the background and was focusing on something else until this bop briefly began playing
I'll let you know that Houndoom's special attack is its highest stat
Just yesterday, I started revisiting Black and White, as it’s my favorite Pokémon game and has some of my favorite Pokémon, and now today you bring me this.
Thank you
You know a move is bad when it only takes off 96% of their health bar
What

Ant: Am I about to die?
Needles: *needling*
TH-cam: Ah yes, a perfect time to play an ad.
Summary of this video is basically smallant saying: “It outspeeds?!”
Another thing to throw in my "Comfort Videos" Playlist - Smallant never disappoints when it comes to content that can put me to sleep...in the best way possible?
“Content that makes me relax” might be a better way to phrase that lol
Btw, you could've had an infinite source of money. Every now and then in this game, you come across a Hoenn gym leader that you can battle as many times as you want. They're meant to help you get more experience, but they give you money too.
Edit: That is the most troll finishing move to defeat a champion ever 😂😂😂
God I love the limited 3D in this game, it’s so charming.
God I love The Limited 3D in this game, it's so Charming
been waiting for another Pokémon challenge and this ones an hour long love to see it
This generation is underrated in my opinion, I remember when I got Pokémon black when it came out and I loved it. Only games I haven’t played are x and y, can you blame me? Nah I’ll play those eventually (probably not)
Of course you've never seen a focus blast miss, it doesn't show the move when you miss
ok
The intense planning on how much money to spend gives me a “Pokémon but make it capitalism” vibe…
Isn’t Pokémon already capitalism? The trainers get to reap all the benefits while the ‘mons do all the work
I like how he pops off after beating the very first battle that your supposed to win
the way you manage to make it through all these challenges that sound impossible is SO wild. pokemon expert over here
I love that you measure money in levels in this challenge
Damn, that Tyranitar had perfect Defense IV and near-perfect Attack IV. Middling everything else, but still, pretty good
That was the most BM usage of a Masterball I've ever seen.
"Why does EVERYTHING have focus blast?!" - my biggest problem with competitive pokemon since way too much coverage became the norm.
Your team was absolutely stacked with like, the typical cool guy pokemon this time around
How does he go from no uploads in a month to four in a week
Money
I guess his editors work on multiple videos simultaneously
Instantly sounds like smallant is diving into the deep end without being able to swim
A mod that increases the stats of the enemies you're fighting based on how good your team is would be extremely interesting to watch
Well that's very difficult but, there are crfu based hacks (unbound for now at least) which have level scaling meaning Pokemon are always level scaled to be around your level. They also have scalemons which makes it so that every Pokemon stat is around bst 600.
The thing which you're asking is very difficult to implement mainly cuz there are so many mons and changing stats dynamically is a bit difficult. Not sure if it's possible
@@vedaryan334 cool! I'm not a super big Pokemon fan, maybe a tad above casual, so this is really interesting to learn about.
@@vedaryan334 another issue is type playing a factor defensively and for STAB, though to really be thorough you'd need to look at the entire possible move pool.
It's not actually impossible to have, at least in a fan game or maybe a Gen8 mod, but the algorithm you'd need to implement would be so complicated I doubt it'll see the light of day for over a decade
Probably my favorite streams from you. Made me buy the game.
@@ritasonka330 Black 2 but I had to get the first game too and they fricking expensive.
Smant's reaction to getting Earthquake is exactly me when I play the games that have unlimited TMs: "aaaaahhhh teach it to everyone."
Tanner pulling out all his content on exam week 😭
This version has a reverse difficulty curve. Very hard at the beggining due to poor money rewards, but very easy on late game 'cause you just have money for years.
