I use Tamiya weathering kits and homemade washes to give the pilot the look and depth I wanted to achieve. I start by assembling the ejection seat. I paint it black, silver, with touches of yellow and green for the canister. The Decals are added to it and the weather begins. I apply silver around the seat to give it a worn paint look and gun metal to the seat rubbed in to make it appear used. Next the instrument panel is painted gray and black, then set aside to dry. I apply the decal to the top of the pilot helmet per the instructions. The rest of the pilot is assembled and painted per the instructions. I then weathered the pilot with various techniques and applied a dark wash, which when dried, gives a more in depth look to the pilot.

Cool video, I like how you used the Tamiya weathering pigments to make the seat really come alive. See ya in two weeks!

If you`re sticking with brush painting, get yourself some new, decent paint brushes. Just that will help you get better. I use airbrushes...I have a few name brands and a bunch of "cheapies", which I use 90% of the time. Although it`s possible to get a great finish by using a brush, I found an airbrush can give you an exceptional finish. Keep up the good work!

I am bad with keeping brushes pointed. I think the water might be hard where I'm at effecting.
