During the highspeed pass at 1:26, just before pulling up into the vertical, the pilot applies further throttle and selects full afterburner. I'm impressed that the pilot had to have the throttles pulled back that much to avoid mach-1 before the climb-out.
I remember an interview with an F-35 pilot saying that keeping under Mach 1 was a challenge because of how easy it was to exceed with a momentary distraction.
@@corystansbury Actually as per the latest word going around, the F-35 can out accelerate the F-22 till Mach 1 (but the Raptor has limitless pulling power beyond).
Very little stick movement to make this aircraft maneuver. Impressive. I've seen the practice demos at Luke. Sounds like no other single engine fighter.

During the highspeed pass at 1:26, just before pulling up into the vertical, the pilot applies further throttle and selects full afterburner. I'm impressed that the pilot had to have the throttles pulled back that much to avoid mach-1 before the climb-out.
I remember an interview with an F-35 pilot saying that keeping under Mach 1 was a challenge because of how easy it was to exceed with a momentary distraction.
why not mach 1 boom
@@allmotorhash that would be awesome! Unfortunately they are not allowed to do so anymore 🙁
@@corystansbury Actually as per the latest word going around, the F-35 can out accelerate the F-22 till Mach 1 (but the Raptor has limitless pulling power beyond).
Simply breath taking, what a ecstatic demonstration of the mighty F35! Thanks for sharing!
Very little stick movement to make this aircraft maneuver. Impressive. I've seen the practice demos at Luke. Sounds like no other single engine fighter.
With about 3000 psi to the flight controls....you fly these birds very lightly....you can actually use three fingers of your hand. They are soooooo badass!
you just made me fall in love with this jet
Dassault Rafale is a better looking one and sukhoi has even crazy maneuvers. This one looks a bit bulky.
Te
I prefer this over the rafale but sukhoi is stunning
@ZeOverman bcus its a stealth jet you moron
"Hi honey, how was your day?"
"Oh, just a normal day at the office."
I saw this live from the beach that day. It was really really impressive. A single F 35 was louder than the entire Blue Angels.
Well that is not very stealth 😆

That's only because the F22/F35 Demo teams turn the engines towards the crowd on every demonstration they do. Blue Angels only do this once, and it's only on the 4 plane roll where they roll all 4 planes engines towards the crowd and go full afterburner.
Smooth like a Rolls Royce, Fast like a Lamborghini, and powerful as THUNDER! - Made in the U.S.A!
then why isnt a fat piece of lard at wallmart? xD
Lol, U.S.A claim everything...smh
@@Brent-Arends USA literally developed the plane
It makes me proud to see the men and women in our military actually being able to do these things!
🇺🇸 This guy is having the time of his life! Gotta love it.
Nobody should get paid to have that much fun!
I'm sure he'd do that for free!
kamuelalee anybody would!
Fedsted I would if it wasn’t a 35
@@punkfunkyeahstudios1718 Why no 35?
kamuelalee something about that plane kills me. It’s quiet compared to the Raptor and can’t do a proper vertical. It’s also looks like they just copied the F-22 Raptor design and called it better.
It's absolutely incredible to watch it do a fly by pass the city then shoot straight up into the air within moments.
must be an incredible feeling to fly one of these beasts.
What will be the feeling of people on ground, amazing and spectacular manoeuvres!!
I love watching jets just like here in our city Peshawar😍👍
Muhammad Hanif
On the ground, it is something you will never forget
Such skill, precision, timing, and the ability to look very cool doing it! This pilot is Amazing! What a life to be up in the clouds flying at mach speeds. Thanks!
I always wanted to be a fighter pilot, but then I got sick with a chronic gut issue during my senior year of highschool. No way I could lie my way through it and get in either. I’ve never stopped feeling like I had my dream stolen from me.
If you’re reading this and you have the chance to grab yours, don’t let it go.
Always loved the Viper, but this plane is insane!!!
One of the most enjoyable cockpit videos i've ever watched. Thank you!
If I could redo my life I’d sign up for the Air Force straight out of high school. My dream has always been to be a fighter pilot.
Best thing to do actually would be to go to college and do AFROTC like what I am doing... you have to be an officer to fly in the AF. Hope to commission as a pilot and fly one of these things.
That's the second best thing to do Austin. The best thing to do is go to the Air Force Academy right after high-school. Most pilot slots go to them! 🇺🇲 Go USAF
Gotta do college first. Gotta have that degree to be an officer/fighter pilot in any service.
I’m trying to go to the USAFA when I graduate
Tell me about it lol, I joined infantry and wrecked my body for nothing 😂
Can you post this without the music? I want to hear the jet?
You don't hear the jet much inside at all. The only jet exhaust sound is dubbed in from outside anyway
@@pdu999 I would bet you hear some though. But probably not like the exterior.
The sound of the jet is classified.
Ur ears would explode
@Liu Kang Kixx, you could still get warnings such as pull up warnings etc.
Their is soooo much force on those wings when you do maneuvers.....you can see the air on the wings. I don't know how those things don't rip right off. Amazing.
Florida Highway Patrol is still looking for this speeder.
wow, would love to hear the engine from inside the cockpit. very cool.
Not much to hear...just a hum
Well if it’s like any other fighter, I can only speak to the F-16...you don’t hear nothing. You can feel the AB but as far as sound it’s way behind you.
Sorry, classified
dude, you may not know it , but at times like this, you're the happiest person on earth
Would have much rather just hear jet sounds than a stupid music overlay.
Most aircraft enthusiasts do... Unfortunately, a lot of these types of vids are made for the average Joe who looks at airshow footage as purely a visual spectical, is bored with, or dislikes the roar (though to me that's more than 50% of the attraction), but still wants something to listen to. I remember airshow vids from the 80's were worse, because everyone of them had the same "Topgun Theme" overlaid. For those who remember, you know what I'm talking about. th-cam.com/video/p2M7QwHnVXQ/w-d-xo.html
Possibly the most annoying thing is having half the comments be "remove music" dude nobody who doesn't like planes watches this they added it because inside of the cockpit is just wind noise and they didn't post it for you to larp in your chair about flying a jet go boot up DCS
Never ever gets old
Thank you🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍👍👍👍🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙
Incredible job. Flew myself in the back seat of a modern two seater fighter, one of the most incredible experiences.
Amazing F-35, I've seen one of these live at an airshow in California one time at MCAS Miramar Naval Air Station, San Diego.
Go stay near Beaufort SC, you'll see plenty of F35's and F22's coming and going daily. They are going to do missions of course, not an air show.
The sad thing is that civilians in Beaufort are whining about the jet noise, even though they knew there was an air station there. People can be so entitled, man.
I just moved to MCAS Miramar. Had a CH-53 rumble the whole house.
@@boingobadger9846
Yep, it happens, hah. I prefer air craft over constant sirens if I'm honest. I used to learn near a major hospital in upstate New York. I still hear sirens in my head, I don't think it'll ever stop, lol.
@@PiousSlayer I’m not sure why people complain about hearing jets and helicopters fly over. I can only understand mothers with young babies, but come on. You get to see and hear machines worth millions of dollars.
@@boingobadger9846 Yea I hear lots of fighter jets especially the F/A-18 Hornet flying missions around the base when I'm working in the area traveling through town.

Funny, but true. Gotta laugh to keep from crying... homie.
Wait wut? They must be keeping secrets at some secret facility at some secret location. I’m gunna start a social media page and get a few curious people together to check it out...oh wait....yeah, not such a great idea! Great vid! Don’t get to peek into the 35 office too often.
True we do have alot of tech from them so all these smart phones touch screens are probably from them or pleadiens
Jeff Arab You’d be suprised that we came up with this stuff ourselves if you just took the time to learn about it. My uncle works for Lockheed designing turbines and he is smart as hell, but it’s all based on fundamental engineering principles.
Brilliant airshow and that too with vibrant beaches adds to the beauty!!
Adding to the point..
Amazing OIS camera!!
This video should be in 4K HDR.
Pierre has been very silent lately. And, this jet is not at 100%. Imagine the possibilities.
yes. but the cost to get there has wasted so much money. yet, we can't afford med4all.
@Blob B that's wrong but
@Blob B imagine not being able to beat a bunch of terrorists in a third world country with these jets lmfao what a joke
John Wick, love the name. Lol

So amazing. I was lucky and grew up on Miramar. 77 - 89. Mostly 14s then but still enjoy our military aircraft. Thank you for your service and thank you for the demonstration.

One hand on the stick the other on the throttle, But were in the hell did that third hand with a beer come from.
8 to 10 thousand years ago men were chasing animals with sticks and trying to make fire, and now this.
Uh. Fire was discovered WAY before 10 thousand years ago.
a little over 100 years ago we were trying to fly off a sand dune off North Carolina with a little 12HP engine.
yes and when the time comes to actually use these weapons in the aftermath we probably back to using sticks to make fire those who survived.
@@TheRogueX depends on the narrative.
@John Do Check out the movie Threads. It’s on TH-cam I think. It shows the aftermath of a nuclear bomb hitting Sheffield. The most depressing movie I’ve ever seen.
I have watched all of the best F-35 videos many times each, so I thought I’d best leave a comment about my favourite jet fighter ever : the F-35A Lightning II and it’s glorious sounding P&W F135 engine.
Edit : Epic shots of the wind buffeting causing the cockpit to shudder.
Yea. That gopro does shake quite a bit. I like how he grabbed the stick with both hands I also wonder what the papers on his left leg tells him.

The Seagulls were out of town that day. Lucky for him.
For a plane that has been labelled a turkey by a certain person it can sure do some amazing manouvres.
It's in no way a turkey, that's just bravado crap. Sure it won't be a Raptor, and probably have a hard time beating a hornet oh, but use properly it'll do fine and most dog fights at least in DCM

Start at 2:54
The way the change in speed is INSTANTLY visible in the surrounding landscape, even on video, when he hit's the throttle at 2:58 really underlines what absolute beasts these machines are.
The latest news is that the F-35 out accelerates both a clean F-16 AND (wait for it...) The F-22 Raptor to Mach 1.
That fluid combat suit makes everything much easier
Not really at all. They're surprisingly stiff, and take a lot of effort to get used to
Very interesting that he had to use two hand’s on the side stick, even tho there is no physical connection. Must need a big pull!
I can't speak to the F-35, but in the F-16, the stick is intentionally made with a lot of resistance to minimize overcompensating when you move it. By having it super stiff, it actually gives you much more controlled movements. I assume the F-35 is the same. And yes, in really tight maneuvers, it sometimes takes both hands to move it enough!
amazing video. I see that the f35 puts out alot of contrails on the wing tips and have always wondered if that would be a disadvantage in a close range dog fight? Would the contrails help enemy pilots or ground forces track the jet with the naked eye??
What a job these pilots have pretty damn awesome that F35 really is an extraordinary fighter jet
