Thanks a lot, very nice review
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching :)
Does the 72 kit have the exact same sprues as the 48? Any additional/dropped parts or decals?
hm, not sure about that as I didn't have a chance to buy 1/48 one :(
The 48 has the underbelly doors with bombs i think so
The Academy F35B looks better, I think.
it might be actually true. I haven't seen Academy plastic in person tbh :/
The academy kit is very impressive in plastic, but doesn’t go together as well as the Tamiya kit. The Academy kit is very crisply molded, but there are a lot of butt joints (the intakes especially) and the cockpit tub needs to be modified in order to get the upper and lower fuselage together
My only complaint is that their masks aren't die-cut! A lot of their aircraft kits that have masks aren't die-cut.
yeah, but I think Eduard will bring pre-cut masks and PE soon :)
Tamiya is innovative and fanatical about quality but also impossibly stubborn and resistant to change. Actually, you can substitute almost any Japanese company and it will still be true. Even half-measures like the cut-it-yourself masks, color painting guide and and (some) updated packaging will have been the result of contentious debates and plenty of hand-wringing.
@@plastictsubasa1390 oh yeah, I can imagine :D
@@dsv Oh for sure. I predict some brassin wheels, exhaust nozzles maybe a cockpit.
