Oh bull. I keep my fully charged sitting in my hot & freezing trucks & tractors inside the cabs. And dont need lifetime because they last a lifetime. My wont be used for 5+ years only have them in vehicles for flats or flash light, etc.. never had a problem. I still got the very 1st batteries they came out with and they still work flawlessly. Only charge them when they go dead.

Really? You are lucky I guess or I am not lucky. I got rid of most of my Makita and Dewalt tools over time because of the batteries always crapping out. To rebuy them was getting way too expensive so I just changed brands when I found them on sale. Glad yours are holding up under those conditions.
I will say these newer batteries are much better, so maybe we are getting to the point where they do last almost a lifetime. My other tools were pretty old.
