@Ruru liean I have worked with non-profits dealing with the houseless population. I have also been a recipient of such services. No one has ever sued a food bank or clothes closet, or other services, as far as I know.
Dumpster diving should be legal everywhere the amount of waste that is saved by diving is amazing.
It is legal everywhere in the US except for a few counties that have decided to make it illegal in their area. Check you local laws and find out if yours is one of those few...otherwise it is legal. The property manager has the right to tell you that you cannot dive on their property, but most don't care.

In Wisconsin people are only allowed in areas open to the general public. That means parking in front and sales area inside. This doesn't include the side/back of parking lot. You go there you are trespassing. You climb on or enter a dumpster, you are trespassing again. The dumpster and everything in it is considered private property of the dumpster owner. Remove something its theft. Dump something its illegal dumping.
you could cut those little memory foam mattress topper display pieces into bench chair or patio furniture cushions and cover them with any of those curtains or shower curtains for the patio! I'm a little envious!!
@Katie Lowe, I apologize, I commented before reading the threads! I actually reupholstered my fancy dining room chairs by cutting up a beautiful shower curtain that I no longer needed when i moved to my new purchased home in 2009.
Like minds, I thought a zipper pillow case.
I am glad you donate so many people are starting a second in life. A person would be so grateful for the hand up in that second chance whether it be getting away from abuse, alchol,drugs or they lost a job. God bless your little hearts. 🤩

Nice finds! I am surprised they didn't cut them up or spray paint on them. Glad they didn't. There is no need to throw those things away. So many people here in America could benefit from some of those things. Lots of needy people. I would donate those samples to the dog shelters so they could use them as beds. Even the curtains that aren't complete or don't have pairs could be cut up to make covers for the dog beds or to make decorative pillows. So many ways you could reuse the things you found.
also cat beds in the animal shelters...........this is exactly what I was thinking too!!!! those single panel curtains could be made into all kinds of useful things!!!!! so many homeless people and shelters could use this stuff........this is so sad..........MAYBE these stores are hoping someone pulls the stuff out and uses it, that way it doesn't go to waste AND they CAN'T be sued!!!!! just a thought!

😲😲😲😲😲 Wow I'm from the UK and I've been watching for a little while now and I'm shook how careless stoes are in America to be able to throw all this stock out because we would never do this here, we would rather reduce items right down and sell to staff or send back to distribution centre who would send back to stores at a later date for sale seasons and at some point people purchase these items, America need to start recycling unwanted items because this is bad. I'm just glad some people in and around America dumpster dive because it reduces land fill and helps save our planet so good going guys 👏👏👏👏

I cut up my old memory foam for my cats. They do love their perches.
For older dogs and cats with arthritis...the memory foam helps them sleep comfortably. I know when we got our new mattress...my wife took our old memory foam topper, cut it down, made cover for it, and our two dogs loved sleeping on it.
Shoot, I would take all of those single curtain panels. I have a sewing machine.. could make tons of things with them. I wish I lived where dumpster diving was an option, there are no stores like those near me. I either have to shop online or drive 2 hours..
All of those drapes and fabric shower curtains can be cut into squares to reupholster dining room chairs

I wish we could still go diving in my area. Here all the stores even Walgreens have built hugh walls , some with barbed wire around the top, with locked gates, around all the dumpsters. It's ridiculous. So have fun as long as it last out there!!
I got a Berkshire Blanket for Christmas like 10 years ago and its still in good shape and still very soft love mine worth the money exciting you found one in the dumpster you will love it

The things you can do with all of those pillows, comforters, shower curtain, and blankets, the DIY ideas must be floating in your head, with mattress displays can be used for a cat or dog.
It's a miracle that this store doesn't go paint happy on what they toss. You can find so many uses for what you found, and homeless shelters could definitely use some of those sheets, blankets, and pillows. Thanks for saving from a landfill!!
My goodness that is one huge dumpster haul. I cut shower curtains down to fit on my bathroom windows so I can change the look of my bathroom quite often. Great video guys 👍.💕

The topper displays could be made into neck pillows, and use those single curtain pieces to make the neck pillow covers. Or use the display toppers to make little cushions for when you go to sporting events or where there are just wood bleachers; cause those make your bum sore fast! Great find.

That hard pillow is made from memory foam and softens up as your body warms it up. Personally, I don't like them, but some people do I guess.

For the smaller mattress display topper thingies you should get some fabric and sew like a pillowcase to put over it and turn it into a "cat bed" and donate it to an animal shelter 😁
Single long curtains are ideal to use to hang in front of doors for stopping drafts or for security if the door has a glass window 😉.

You are so lucky you guys, our town is so full of homeless people, burned out of their homes from the fires and then the druggy homeless so just about all the dumpsters are locked! I would love to have new bedding! I'll just keep watching all your amazing dumpster gift videos and be in awe!
