"The Magilla Gorilla Show" that i saw aired on WPIX-TV New York-now owned by Mission Broadcasting-ended with the Screen Gems dancing sticks. Glad that it didn't end with this at 4:44
@@TheProjectionistsVault Yes this one!! TH-cam had a colored version of this bumper on back in the day. Of course, these were the early days before HD and the quality was so pixelated. lol Thanks so much for bringing it back!!!
Nice work! Too bad it was not shown on the DVD itself. Hopefully, the original opening and closing titles should be restored for a Warner Archive Blu-ray release, along with "Top Cat", which possibly restore the original episode end credits for the show.
During the second season Magilla and Peter Potamus switched their supporting players so Ricochet ended up on Potamus and Breezly vice versa. When it went to syndication the two shows were combined since there weren't enough shows to release them separately and was all just release as The Magilla Gorilla Show.
3:22 Hey, the gang has to go That's the end of our show (So long, so long, so long!) You know we'll be back But for now we've got to go (So long, so long, so long!) It's been fun (yes, sir!) @3:24 - I was born in 68 and watched all of these characters. But I have no memory of this closing theme song. Did they discontinue it after the 60’s? Also, what year did they switch to color?
This was most likely discontinued after a certain point in the '60s. It might've changed after the show went off of ABC. I also can't give you a date for when all stations were using color versions of all the tags and stuff...
I could not find the "so long" version of this for years! Thank you.
I've heard that it was on TH-cam a long time ago. Also, no problem :)
Thank you lord Jesus amen 🙏
Thanks! I've wanted to see the intro with Breezly and Sneezly!
That nice
0:00 is the B&W variant of the ABC “Color” bumper with no voiceover. It should’ve said “This is been an ABC color presentation”.
GREATNESS, Projectionist! Thank you so much for Sharing these treasures, my Retro TV Brother.

Awesome you brought back childhood memories!!! Thank you
I remember seeing this bumper back in 2007 or 2008 on TH-cam!
Do you mean the curtain call bumper towards the end of the reel?

It's rare, to me seeing "Breezly and Sneezly" on the show. I usually see "Ricochet Rabbit" on the show

Projectionist you're the best 👌🏻
This is very cool!

“Be sure to see “The Peter Potamus Show.””
Does anyone have the original version of the segment with Ricochet Rabbit and Droop-Along?
@@markdpane I've heard that the segment was on TH-cam a long while ago but was deleted for whatever reason, so there are recordings *somewhere*.
Breezly And Sneezly Are Probably Hanna-Barbera's Obscurest...
Hey that was rare than what I used to see.

Closing gag swiped from "The Huckleberry Hound Show"?

You should scan these prints at some point.
I would have done so already if I had the time and money -_-
Was the Screen Gems "S" logo shown in Magilla's second season in first-run syndication before the show went to ABC?
Wouldn't be entirely unlikely that it showed up in it's second season in syndication.
I meant third-the show debuted midway through the 1963-64 season.
Wait where ricochet rabbit and droop-a-long
They're with Peter Potamus.
