    For my online business, almost all of the selections are wrong. 1. Internet connection, reliability, and speed - download, upload, and ping, 2. affordability - many of us take a pay cut for better quality of life, and 3. places with space - I need an actual room as an office as well as designated living space Chile, Hong Kong, and Thailand are debatable. According to the speedtest list, they are highly ranked. You might wonder why I would know. Well, I have had several conference calls from these locations. I would much prefer the digital nomad visas from parts of Colombia and Brazil. Mexico City and other cities are becoming quite strong. Of course, as you mentioned, Germany, Norway, and Estonia have strong connections. Croatia's internet speed connections might work depending on the work and location. Then there are the concerns of affordability. It should be noted that business people will most likely want to stay near the cities. The beaches and mountains may be picturesque, but the connections are typically not as strong. In other words, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Dominica, and Barbados are not going to be suitable. As someone who has been doing this pre-pandemic (six years), I am sure that I or someone else could provide a better idea of what digital nomads with video conferencing need. Good luck to digital nomads! It is not as easy to travel around and about as one might think.

      Yes, but it's more peaceful while you're working, because (most) everyone around you is sleeping.
      I assume you're talking about remotely working for a company that requires you to be on the same schedule as the rest of the employees, and not as a self-employed "digital nomad" doing drop shipping, Etsy, Patreon, translation, or selling ebooks, in which case, there's no need to be on a weird schedule.
      Some people can handle overnight shifts, and some can't. For those that can't, I'd recommend an American stick to a place like Puerto Vallarta, MX, or perhaps Costa Rica, which are both Central Standard Time, so just two hours removed from the U.S west coast.

      @@gabrielschroll3824 I'm talking about being on the same schedule as the country your revenue comes from. Clients, banks, stock markets, students, support staff, and vendors all have schedules. Wouldn`t recommend Norway for a place to stay for a longer period of time as a digital nomad though. I`m Norwegian and have been travelling quite a alot, and in my opinion most digital nomads will probably feel isolated here. Both because of the cold weather and the cold people, many exchange students feel quite lonely even if they have an international community. I`m also getting outtt.

      I LOVE Norway. I speak Norwegian. The people and culture are fabulous. The affordability is not. The previous episodes about English-friendly countries touched on how Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Singapore, and the Netherlands are some of the most multilingual. Then there were discussions about taxation and affordability. With my digital nomad salary, I could not afford to live there. However, with the six and seven digit families, they might manage it with greater ease. Also, a follow-up to the Norwegian and German discussions could be affordable higher education. I saved some money for a year of my college education in Norway. Norway and Germany are some of the countries that allow you to study abroad for free if you know the language. Both countries have excellent language and assimilation programs. I base some of my language instruction on the lessons I learned in Norway. Yes, if you can afford Norway, it really is one of the happiest places on Earth.

    How is this woman the correct choice for this channel? I'm sure she is qualified to do her normal day to day job, but having her present information in English is a HUGE mistake. There is no way I can just run one of these clips in the background, her English is just a rambling stream unless you really focus in on what she is saying.

    • @krncaps
      @krncaps 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I like her very much. I would be thrilled if she was my account manager. She comes across as competent and knowledgeable. Sadly, I agree, she is not an ideal choice to be one of the new youtube presenters. It isn't personal, and it isn't meant to be an attack on her personally. I could never do it myself - I get too nervous in front of a camara. I'm even quite fond of accents. It's just not the right fit. There is a slight vibration in her voice that does not make it smooth or easy to listen to, and she doesn't capture that casual conversation tone that made Henderson so accessible, and which feels like it should be a hallmark of the channel. She's truly lovely! The internet is a cruel place. I don't mean to be cruel, it's just not the right choice.
