35:43 the english translation doesnt nearly do enough justice to what Baahubali is saying here. He says to Katappa, "As long as you are by my side, the one who is destined to kill me hasn't even been born yet."
I still remember the craze of this film. I was in 12th and my midterm exams had started. A day before the mathematics exam, my math tuition teacher showed us this film💀
52:24 if you remember when baahubali died bhallaldev kicked his body over with that leg, so his son also stabbed him through that exact leg and pinned him to the pyre. The level of detail is just 🔥
Leaving the old evil guy alive is kinda more of a punishment than killing him. He saw his son get killed and all his supporters die, he's really old and powerless now. If he gets killed, it ends there....but imagine having to live the rest of his pitiful life seeing Baahubali's son ruling the kingdom happily while his own descendants (both son and grandson) are dead. Lord Shiva and the divine plan is a recurring motif and essentially what binds the whole story together. If you think only about the story of Amarendra Bahubali, it didn't end well despite of him being a good man and a righteous 'king', but when you look at both the movies as a whole, you'd see that Mahendra Bahubali performed the ritual of 'rudrabhishek' - the ritual of bathing lord shiva with water or milk, unknowingly, for his adoptive mother, and all the impediments in his path are removed: he gets the mask, climbs the water mountain, reunites with his mother, brings the ones guilty for his father's death to justice, fulfils his destiny of becoming king. You'll see that when he finally confronts Bhallaldeva, and the fight is leaning to favor the latter, he again, unknowingly, does rudrabhishek with his blood and crushes his rival. The closing scene of this movie, where Bhallaldeva's head falls through the waterfall in front of Lord Shiva represents that Shiva will fulfill his promise to his devotees and the righteous.
3:29 well the elephant headed God is known as Ganesh son of Shiva. Both Bahubali's are also associated with Shiva in both movies. Hence the scene with elephant bowing down to Bahubali and helping him up.

He kills to uphold the good & to protect the defenceless & the innocents
This is war, both in the Kalakeya sequence where he burnt swathes of soldiers alive & in the final sequence where he kills all that stands in his path to deliver justice
As a warrior & esp one that was the true king in this case, Baahubali is supposed to kill all that are protecting the evil side
Thats the job description🤷🏻♀️
Warrior ≠ Killer ≠ Assassin ≠ Murderer
& He didnt kill Bhallal's father as the man wasnt a 'participant' in the war
He was only a political player
Unless he interfered with the mission, Baahubali had no reason to harm him on purpose
He will have to be dealt with in the king's court after BB ascends the throne
also
The extended & incredulous fight sequences, even gore, were essential part of the narration
This was the first movie ever where i felt my civilization (Bharat) truly represented without apologies
& That includes not hesitating to block the bully & wherever necessary, harm him without care for reputation or remorse
The evil, the immoral, deserves neither moral methods nor mercy
Equally impressive was the superior placement of moral principles & basic human decency & heart over & above court conventions , technicalities & even above the law of the land
Very Very 'Bharat' in nature
