HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y’ALL! I wanted to get this up right before Xmas and New Years for obvious reasons! I hope y’all enjoy :) And again a massive thank you to @aguie16 for gifting me the shirt!!! I hope those who have been and will be celebrating holidays this month have the most wonderful holiday season. I’m so grateful for y’all as I reflect on this year. I’m excited for what 2023 will bring and would love to hear if any of you are doing anything special for this time of year 🥰
Thanks for the video. After many playthroughs, this is definitely not my favorite mission, for some reasons that are obvious and some that aren't. But I'm still curious to watch players' reaction to it, to see how quickly their suspicions rise about the gross situation and how they process the disturbing information. Your response didn't disappoint: you're disgusted, but you also took the time to work through your thoughts and feelings, so thanks. 52:20 "What old promise?" - Early on, Bioware realized they were creating a deep and compelling storytelling world, full of possibility beyond just the central Shepard plot. They published a variety of extended ancillary material, comics and novels and other stuff (including an animated movie that ties into the third game). The quality is pretty inconsistent, but some of it is okay. Anyway, one of these stories goes into the history between Jacob and Miranda, and makes this moment a lot clearer. Essentially, the effect of this in-game reference (and a few others sprinkled throughout) feels like a small reward for the fans who have been completionist about the extra material. "Oh," these fans say, watching this scene, "I know what he's talking about!" But if you don't know that story, this sort of sticks out as an incomplete anecdote on which you never hear anything further, or an underdeveloped character thread. Just FYI. Hope this sheds some light. P.S. Happy holidays and good luck with the move.
Merry Christmas!!! Should have picked the middle option, "Leave him in the hell he created" He get's true justice. But glad to see more regulars videos, really loving your reactions and inputs.
Merry Christmas, Ren. Always feels like it's been too long since your last ME upload. Charming handmade earrings. Now let's see how you handle an NPC with daddy issues (which actually describes about every squad mate in ME2 lol)
First of all, I'm really happy to hear you're going to try Andromeda. Yes, it doesn't really live up to the trilogy, but the trilogy set such a high bar that there's almost no way it could. That said, it's nowhere near as bad as the initial buggy release made it seem. Also, if it walks like Tali, acts like Tali, and sounds like Tali, then you're right, it's probably a duck! Wait, I mean Tali! 😋
Omgg Ren you look amazing in that Santa hat 😄👍 hope you are having an awesome holiday and had an amazing Christmas!! Good luck with your move! I've been away for far too long, I'm finally settled in my new place and my new job, im back and time to catch up 😁
Overall, I agree that Andromeda isn’t as good as the trilogy and certainly has faults, but Andromeda was also the victim of a deliberate campaign by a lot of “gamer bros” and others who wanted to punish BioWare and destroy whatever it put out. Witness all the “zero score” reviews on Metacritic, for example. Andromeda had a hard act to follow and BioWare (EA Games) made mistakes, but the game is objectively fine (I’d give it a C+ or B- grade). Our binary culture tends to want to label everything as either “amazing” or “horrible,” but there are lots of labels in between and Andromeda fits somewhere in that spectrum. Whether it’s worth playing now that BioWare is acting like it never happened is a question for individual gamers, but I would argue that it’s worth a play through, especially if one is gifted a copy.
Here's one of my recommendations. Go exploring for a bit. Go around and search planets in systems that you don't even have missions in. There are little surprises when you do that. Just saying... Lol! Especially scanning the planets in Sol.. Earth, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, etc. Scan them all.
A tropical paradise. Complete with a few hidden snakes...and a very literal metaphorical interpretation of the apple. It really bothered me playing this mission. For all the advancement, it's always a struggle uphill and so easy to backslide into awfulness, cruelty and worse. I thought Ren did the right thing, the proper thing. This was also a full stare into the abyss. When you see monstrosity, does one have to become a monster to fight it on a level that somehow inside feels justified?
Oof this mission, I can never bring myself to outright kill Jacob's dad or to take him alive to be punished by the law, everything was already super fucked up but what always gets me is that he assigned the women to the other male officers as pets. Like nope at that point you can rot here while everyone else gets evacuated and treatment lol
Merry Christmas Ren💞Very festive earrings and Santa hat 🥰Good luck with you and your boyfriend on the big move🙃Hope you get a chance to relax with some eggnog and Rum😉
I mean Jacob is ok but what his dad did I mean could you blame Jacob for being mad it was not a bad mission a bit short though I hope you enjoyed the mission anyways and you look very cute in this video and all videos and I love the Christmas hat Merry Christmas my lovely friend 🎄🎄❤️❤️

@41:45 Damn that mech was playing with Skyrim physics
I wouldn't worry a ton about schedules. To quote Douglas Adams: "I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by."
Can't wait for more. The best walkthrough of ME I have seen. Your calm, and analytic approach makes it another great jurney!
Merry Christmas!!!

Jacob's dad absolutely had power go to his head and what he did was 100% NOT justifiable.
Ren is back, on the best of days! Merry Christmas to you amazing human! 🥳❤
OMG MERRY CHRISTMAS ❤️💚❤️💚
Merry Christmas Ren! Hope you have an enjoyable day! So glad you love the shirt!
Happy hols, Ren!
And I wish you lots of success for next year! :)
Happy Holidays Ren!!! I hope you and your family had an amaziong holiday!!

Best Christmas Gift of the year! WOOOO!!!!
Andromeda is a FINE game. Ignore the haters. It’s a shame that BioWare abandoned it, but what’s there is all right. The combat in particular was fun.
Andromeda is not worth spending time and money. And 99.999999999% of us who loved the trilogy know that.
It's okay in parts. Has its moments. But overall I consider it a failure, and I'm definitely worried for the next ME game.

I'm not a fan of Jacob, but I really like his companion quest
Agreed, by no means a favourite squad mate, but his loyalty mission was a great one, in terms of both story and game play environment.
@@goblinballadeer9318 Yeah missions that deal with human psychology pushed to extremes are always interesting
Happy Holidays, and I hope your move goes real easy!
Aww, you got your chair a jacket for christmas!
Oh, and if you want to know more about Miranda's... requirements, you can learn more after doing Lair of the Shadow Broker.

Well the option is less leave him, and more like let everyone have revenge and tear him to shreds.

I haven't seen any other person in the world who looks so pretty wearing a Xmas hat. 😏
Merry X-Mas Eve
Jacob's dad kinda sounds like Grunt's dad.
edit: it's the same guy, Dave Fennoy. He's done a lot of TV shows and cartoons, including The Walking Dead.
My New Year's Resolution is to be more tolerant of lactose.

Am I the only one still waiting for more?
Soon!! Gotta finish settling in from my recent move first! I can’t wait to record more 💓
