I’ve watched this scene a number of times but it makes me cry every time. Aerith is a wonderful character, she’s been my favourite ever since I was a child and she continues to be my favourite as an adult.

Ive always had that theory since advent children like does anyone think that its odd marlene can sense aerith in advent children and cloud can see her and we dont know who marlenes mother is or who is clouds father i know cloud is a bit of a stretch but if marlene iant a cetra id be suprised@Mukation
@@steffanoboin5060 Well, Barret knows who Marlenes biological mother is, Dyne was his best friend.
The Yuffie DLC more or less confirmed that she is part Cetra, she could see Aeriths death when she touched her and got afraid, until Aerith confirmed that everything was ok.
(It's when Aerith goes to 7th heaven to pick her up right before they drop the plate on sector 7)

I'm guessing its going to be that aerith the manifestation of the planet itself in human form , it's why everyone loves her, or shinras case wants to use her or sephiroth wants to kill her
First off i absolutely loved her walking down the red carpet however this is the Aerith that I've come to love. This is her true beauty through comforting Marlene and hugging her. Aerith truly is an angel.
I have played this game three times now and everytime this scene messes me tf up. I can pretty much feel my paternal instincts kick in.

I'm replaying "Final Fantasy VII" on Ps4 now after a long time ( just beat Dyne in my first Gold Saucer visit ), last time i played the Original game was like 5 years ago on PSP.
I did like "Final Fantasy VII Remake" and now replaying the Original one ( and having the game fresh in my mind ) i like the Remake even more, scenes like this one makes difference and the game even better.
Midgar as a whole felt so rushed replaying FFVII this time, Jesse, Wedge and Biggs development and Death in the Original was a joke and so trivial unlike the Remake where they got a proper Development and a Dramatic Death with it.
"Midgar × Midgar" the Remake nailed it, it's so much better.
A little thing that likely goes unappreciated by most: this, and many other scenes, have unique music pieces made solely for them. These pieces (even just rearrangements of existing themes, as in this case) would’ve taken a lot of time and money and effort to put together.
That new rebirth trailer makes ALOT of sense right now.

After seeing how Zack comforts Marlene, it’s undeniable Zack and Aerith are a good match but sadly, she likely moved after Zack’s disappearance
will you defy fate to save others and make a choice? fate is the thing that keeps taking everything you care about away. fate was the sector 7 plate falling and ultimately sephiroth is saying to cloud defy fate and save those people, when he didn't he said to cloud you failed again and remains encouraging cloud to make a choice beyond the story of reality.
so, aerith has already accepted her fate, but cloud wont accept it. I wonder if cloud is going too protect aerith from her fate
yes i believe aerith already knows somewhat and they believe in the same argument but have different methods, she is in conflict with her predestined future, if cloud wants to save her he has to defy the reality itself although it is probably just a default timeline and they have changed the road ahead by what happened at the end even zack is alive so the pre destined story has been defied and aerith might even live and a new final boss may come instead of sephiroth.
When you realize that Seventh Heaven was named that because it was foreshadowing for the citizens who couldn't escape Sector 7 🗿😭
I have a theory on what happens at 1:41 that makes Marlene stop crying. I'm aware that not everyone is religious, but my *analogy* for what happened is like this... ... Aerith is like an angel, in disguise as a human. Aerith has the power to conceal her full abilities and identity to everyone around her, unless she CHOOSES to show/reveal herself.
Aerith SHOWED herself to Marlene. Doing this not only immediately calmed Marlene, but built Marlene's trust into Aerith as well. Marlene was able to SEE the good (angel) in Aerith instantly at that point. This is why Aerith made the 'shush sign' with her finger -- like it's our secret, don't tell anyone. 😉

a little idea for FFXV, even if you have already closed everything in this game, I think this idea could be really cool since many also want this outfit (from what I saw) anyway, it would be cool if on the next FFXV anniversary, the clothing of the characters from the first trailers (the one from the Versus 13 trailers) to be released, I know it would take work but I think the fans might like it, please let me know if the idea of these clothes being released on the next anniversary of the game is good, thank you very much for reading this and even more!

I think Holy gave Aerith the power to attempt to change fate. That's why she, Marlene, and Red XIII all know things they shouldn't after they meet Aerith.

@David Hinkle it's a rumor that's been debunked over, and over again. Square Enix is selling off *some* of their non-japanese studios, but has outright stated that they are not looking to be acquired.

Intergrade should have been on PS4 period. Scummy business practice.
They made the Intergrade DLC on PS5 so they can have more experience with the PS5 for Rebirth. Face it. The game was gonna be PS5 only (With PC ports later) had the PS5 released earlier.

This is the kinda stuff I'm cool with SE adding to the remake story wise. Things that expand on the story we knew and grew up with.
The rest. Not so much.
Trash battle system, retconning plot points, "ethically" changing characters, and just about everything else.
Graphics and music aren't enough, SE.
It's not a retcon. Everything in the original FFVII is still canon. This is an alternate universe which coexists with the original timeline.

@@imveryangryitsnotbutter this "Alternate Universe" thing sounds like a BS excuse for deranged storywriters like Nomura and the other one (not Yoko) to create their own (downgraded complicated) version of the original story, it's like trying to replicate a museum art from a blank canvas with the same exact template of the original one, but using muds and dirts instead of an actualy color paint. I'm just gonna call it a nomurazation or a kingdom heartszation

aerith already knows she going to die at a young age. i guess its the way she looks every time her expression face she always do this face you cant tell but i do in fact only i do. she wasnt really praying at that place she was waiting to die there. if she can sense all of that of the planet and life trust me she knows her own death as well. and they will not rewrite aerith story they going to stick with the original having aerith dies again but. i dont know maybe you can play her again but. shes probably wont be responding to any of the guys because shes not there because they probably make her dlc i think or if not they make her unlockable by having you do quest in the game
