I really hope to see this series continue to develop into something more. The creative ideas presented are so far removed from the rest of the analog horror genre, yet so familiar with what has been used in more conventional sci-fi horror films, the series could hold great potential in the long-term. I find the mix of old ideas and new presentation to be inescapably promising, not only for the novelty, but for the new dynamic that ensures there's never a time where you aren't engrossed with what's going on; a feeling of immersion that truly suits the medium of horror.
Sinister, they got more vids! If you review them again (or actually rn making the part 2) I'm very glad that this underrated series is going to be popular Love the edits man!
Very good! The saddest thing about this series is that there is not more of it. Gemini home entertainment dropped some lore bombshells about moonlight acres and woodcrawlers, in case you wanted to review the newer videos they released.
Good things require time to be made, i dont doubt midwest is making episode 3 already, and i cant wait for it. Also the same goes for Gemini and Local58.
thank you so much for the commentary over this! i wouldn’t have been able to watch without it. So thank you for being the hand guiding me through this!
With all the work and effort put into this series, i hope that that channel gets more attention, its horrible to see such good works go unnoticed because there are so many of them and the youtube algorythm doesn't wanna help them
I really hope you someday check out and possibly even do an analysis video on “Winter of ‘83” an analog horror mini-series made by Linkara-AtoptheFourthWall for April Fools Day earlier this year. Despite it technically being made as an April Fools joke, the series is very good and VERY creepy. I wasn’t involved in the series, I just like promoting underrated content.
Very good content. I've been binging your videos lately. Found your channel a while ago, ever since Eventide Media Center analysis. Don't know why I'm even commenting on this video specifically, I know you've released second part of Unfiction Iceberg just about two weeks ago and such. Will get to that eventually. I just want to say that I love everything you cover, I hope to see more analog horror content. You have a perfect narration voice and I think you should be genuinely proud of your content. I really appreciate your work, it became somewhat of a rest from current world problems, so thank you for being someone I can return to occasionally to get my evening filled with content. More on topic, I'm sad that something so high-production value as Midwest Angelica flew under the radar and we're possibly never seeing it continued. Same with plenty of other series. Either way, I wish you all the best. Have an amazing day, week, month, year. Thank you once again.
But I am still confused about one thing, was all of this really a movie in the ARG universe or was the "movie" just a cover up to hide the invasion of the alien being The Angelica? I think it maybe the last one.
The other thing this reminds me of is the Brother Moons from Dead Space. Massive biological entities of spaceborne biomass with psychic abilities. Dead Space's resolution of the Fermi paradox was that the Brother Moons ate everyone else, and that was always just...horrifying.
Hey, I was wondering if you could also do a video analyzing TRYRED WITNESS ARCHIVES? It's another analog horror webseries which has the same amount of quality of Midwest Angelica, but isn't as well known as this one.
this one has such great production quality, its a shame its so... generic. absolutely bog-standard for this genera. it has almost no style of its own. the choppy camera, the cuts, the wording, the presentation... its so generic :(

Agreed!
thank you SO MUCH for the noise warning. i really really appreciate it and i know a ton of others do too
Any time!
Those hazmat suits slightly remind me of art I saw and I remember it being called a thermal or heat hazmat suit I might be wrong tho

Man I love this so much im always a sucker for Body Horror and Hive Mind alien invasion. Hope this will continue.
As do I!
I think when the alien is shot in front of the sun that could be a reference to neon genesis evangalion when a eva unit was infected by an Angel,
i watched this a couple days ago and instantly thought "this would be a great sinisterheart video and im glad to see i was probably right
Spot on prediction
Great video. Thank you for all the hard work you put in.

the production values are quite good grom what I've seen so far.

@@SinisterHeart awesome.
I enjoy this piece of commentary regarding the media called 'Midwest Angelica'.

Minaxa brought me here! His latest video about Midwest Angelica spoke of your analysis in glowing terms!
Thank you for letting me know!
It’s possible there’s inspiration from the Upside Down, but I’m honestly more reminded of War of the Worlds (the novel) and the red weed in that book.
Major "The Thing" vibes i love it, one of my favorite movies ever.
I'm getting "The Thing" vibes from this

Martian Ecology.
Your voice is very calming
Thank you, I try my best
What what what!?!?!?
The Angelica is The ultimate Kars from jjba
Do u teach in that voice? That would make learning pretty entertaining
I wish. I can maintain it for a good forty minutes, but after that my chords get tired.
Hey, I was wondering if you could also do a video analyzing TRYRED WITNESS ARCHIVES?
It's another analog horror webseries which has the same amount of quality of Midwest Angelica, but isn't as well known as this one.
I'll give it a look! I have a list of video requests/ideas that I'm going through so I'll try to hit it soon!

Meh... I don't think too much of this one. Just watched it, looks very derivative.
Am I the only one who thought that the Angelica rising into the air from the farm looked a TON like the moon presence from Bloodbourne?
