    In this video we look at the New Redshit 3.6 feature inside of the RT render option, that let's us use "nanites" basically. Instantly get nice fast displacement on an infinite scale. RT is in beta and only supports RTX GPUs.

    Congrats on the baby! As a father myself, I can say it's the greatest thing you'll ever do! Cherish every moment. They grow up so quickly.

      @@effectatron Oh right on. Two kids was a bigger jump in time/effort than I anticipated. Still enjoyed every minute of it. Mine are 18 months apart though. Anyways, thanks for your amazing channel / content.

      @@effectatron No, there are some tutorials where you see things getting dragged with no such value. On the other hand, I found yours very helpful, and I have started learning Redshift now. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    Jo thats a very cool update to redshift! I totally missed this one!
    One question: can we render out with RT like we can do with production mode?
    That would be sick!

    thanks for the video - would've never realized the updates! I must say though - it's RS examples like this that make me love Octane even more. Don't get me wrong, I like RS for certain jobs, but the difference in speed, especially for simple scenes like this with displacement is night and day. Really hope they get their RT engine to a somewhat decent place in terms of speed and quality

      Does Octane have a Real time option?

    Quick question, I can freeze displacement in render view, but when it comes to the actual render and I get constant geometry updates on every frame before rendering starts, is there a way to stop that happening?

      You can hit the snowflake with the G on it in the Production render. If you are using Bucket you'll need to use the snowflake and Snowflake with G. But I actually have to check because IPR is different than Production rendering. Good question

    How did you get Bridge to work with Cinema 4D 2024.4? I updated bridge but still can't do it. I have to use Cinema 4D R25 to be able to export to C4D directly from bridge. I even tried installing the latest (2.2) C4D bridge plugin, but still gives me an error. Please let us know if there's anything we need to do to make it work. Thanks!

      I did a full uninstall of it then fresh install.

    I hope so, cause today it is like shit compared to Cycles. When combining multiple disp layers it is a real hassle, gotta refresh after every fucking adjustment.

    • @effectatron
      @effectatron  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You actually never have to refresh. Once you set them just hit the geometry snowflake and ipr will never have to refresh
