    did you just compare a 40 to a 9mm and say you could feel it more?

    I got the P2sk in 9mm. It’s smooth and a dream to shoot.

    In my opinion. P2000 in 9mm is very comfy. And a p30sk and it is also very comfy. But the trigger and reset are way better on the p2000 imo. The p2000sk in .40 is also nice, like a smaller version of a usp .40

      I like the feel of the grip on the P30 but like you I do not care for the trigger. Especially compared to the Walther............I will most likely send mine to the get a trigger job.

      Which trigger did you get on the p2000? The LEM or DA/SA?

  • @flatheadfletch
    @flatheadfletch 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

    The only difference between these guns in SAME caliber is grip ergonomics. If you through in the usp then the rail difference comes into play. Same trigger groups. All equally reliable. Just a matter of whether you like to tinker with your grip. I own P30L and P2000 and P2000sk. Lem trigger in both P2000 models. P30L has Da/Sa no safety with rear decocker. If I could only keep one and I had a USP as well, it would be the P2000 LEM hands down !

      Now capacity is a factor. P30sk holds more rounds in a smaller package. 12+1 and 15+1 and even 17+1 if you choose.

    Love the fact that your still carrying these sub compacts by HK as i do myself... everyone now is into CZ's and are trigger snobs.....the p30sk is a combat pistol not a competition pistol. Though it can be.....

      You're right with the trigger snob comment. All my guns have original triggers. None of them are perfect but I get used to them. Only way I would change my trigger is if I was a competitive shooter. As long as my trigger works and goes boom that's all I care about.

    Awesome video, i have owned the P2000SK in .9mm for 14 years and i am in the MARKET for another SUBCOMPACT and the p30SK (9MM) peeks my interest, i know HK has a micro 9MM coming out soon but it is still about 5 months away, i have an itch to scratch and LOVE HK handguns, may get the P30SK even though it is a twin to my p2000sk.

  • @spiiiinsugar
    @spiiiinsugar ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Why are you comparing a 9mm to a 40? 😅 does not matter if "other people" are doing the same -- it doesn't make sense to compare 2 different calibers. I carry a P2SK 9mm (CA) and my gun is as smooth and accurate as it can be; though my first choice was a P30SK, but I live in a state with a stupid roster.

      I also live in CA. P30 is a great gun but P2K has a nicer trigger. So does USP compact. We tend to like the forbidden fruit since P30 and USP are not on that damn roster.

    I was thinking the S&W .40 p2000sk would be more practical with subsonic ammo. BTW - Wish HK would make a HK45sk.

    If the P2000sk was chambered in 9mm would it be more comfortable than the P30sk of even Glock 26?

    • @flashphoto007
      @flashphoto007  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      In my opinion if it was chambered in 9 mm there probably wouldn’t be much of a difference. The only difference would probably be the feel just in the grip. But even then both guns are comfortable.

      As far as Glock let’s see, I have personally owned 32c, 30, 36, 22,and 17 all great guns but unfortunately I’ve never been able to hold onto a Glock. I’ll get one carry it for a little bit and just feel I want something Else.

  • @gunslinger3090
    @gunslinger3090 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    not a fair comparison, you would have to shoot a p2000sk in 9mm. but for self defense i will take the 40s&w p2000sk which i have. plus they don't make the p30sk in 40s&w for a fair comparison.

    The real reason the HK still sells the p2000 is the same reason Glock still sells the gen 3 guns… the California handgun roster.

      A worldwide gun manufacturer is making a handgun because of one states handgun roster? You’re making CA way more relevant in the world than it is.

    I have the P2000SK in .40 cal. Can't say much about it since it's my first gun and I have not fire a round yet. Hoping to go to the range sometime this summer. Also I would love to get the P30L with the compensator but since I live in CA it's not legal here. Not many choices to choose from but luckily the P2000SK is legal here and I fell in love with the looks and feel the first time I held it.

    The P30 series has at least one big advantage over the P2000 series and USP series. The interchangeable grip components allow for the most perfect feeling grip. The sides and back come with S, M, and L marked pieces. Tap out a pin and you can obtain a true custom level of fit before replacing that pin. The P30 series also has multiple versions with the V1 being the LEM version. Sadly HK picked a commonly misunderstood name for that system. It isn't a double action only trigger. It is more similar to a Geissele SSA-E trigger. There is a low resistance period of trigger movement until it hit the "wall". From that point about more pounds of pressure will fire the weapon. Very short trigger reset and you are at the wall again. The springs powering the hammer are pre-loaded by the slide closing. You only get the super trigger if the slide cycles. There is no safety or decocker only the long low resistance period. Perhaps not for everyone. A 40S&W can be a little snappy based on your ammunition choices. Winchester makes a 165 grain FMJ loading. It is a joy to shoot in a Glock 27 or P30. American Eagle 165 grain is much snappier. The AE loading exactly matches the 165 grain HST loading. Have found no point of inpact difference between the three loadings.

      I own a 9mm V2 LEM P2000sk. It came with interchangeable straps as well. I love it. I plan on doing a grey guns trigger swap for a shorter reset.

      @meguhhman For me changing not only the back strap but the 2 side panels as well. I have a HK45C decent feeling grip but not like the P30 family and VP family. Those frames have 3 back straps and 3 side panels for the best fit.

    Glock 26 or P2000sk - 9mm version??? What do you think? for CCW carry... I love my Glock 26 but the HK is sexy looking... I hate 40 cal.. too snappy! might as well just go Glock 29 with a 10 mm for the power if you want recoil.

      You cannot go wrong with either company Glock, Hk, Sigsauer/ Sig, colt and Beretta are my favorite and are my most trustworthy guns to carry. Guess I’m old school. All those are Battlefield tested. And have been around since the 70s and longer. there are other manufactures out there that are just as good but these ones I depend on.

      No, the P2000 came out years before the P30, originally named the “P3000.” The USP -> P2000 -> P30 is the ergonomic and modernization progression of HK’s modern hammer-fired pistols.

    My SK has the pinky rests , but I don’t use them ,I keep it to two a finger grip . Please , notice how pressing that pinky rest throws off your aim if you haven’t trained your grip , pressing the pinky rest makes the magazine push the gun forward and down . Terrible for shot placement .

    • @Lexicologist1971
      @Lexicologist1971 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have it all wrong. You keep squeezing the pinky. That tightens your whole grip. Keep it squeezed. Don't change your grip in the middle of your shot. Aim accordingly.

      @@Lexicologist1971 I forgot to say that my pinky does not quite fit in there with the other two fingers . But I love this gun , I shoot the tightest groups with it , out of the box ,not one failure,haven’t even modified the trigger .

      @@hubriswonk I can tell you this you’re more likely to sell a gun with a safety then without, but even said HK provides the option to add a safety so it doesn’t matter. Just considered an option like on the vehicle the more options you have the more people may buy it if you’re looking to sell it later on. Do we buy guns to sell them know but stuff happens in life that does make us have to do that sometimes unexpected bills.
