One thing about Black men in Horror...They gone look fly asl. Another thing, I just LOVED how Pam Grier & Snoop complimented each other & looked great as a couple in this film.
Snoop said he agreed to do the jimmy bones role under the condition that he has to have a kissing scene with Pam Grier because he had a crush on her since his childhood
@@91Definite Depends on the person..You ever watched the Steve harvey show?? If so,Steve was married during that show and if anyone noticed he never had a kissing scene with Wendy aka principal Grier. during the whole show and she was fine too..Steve said he wanted to respect his marriage. It really just depends
Snoop did a interview on some show…I can’t remember. But he talked about when he first met Pam Grier who was playing his woman on this movie….he said he excused himself to the men’s room real calm….got there and slid down the wall….just in awe being in the presence of her. He said he grew up watching her movies, and remembered those TA-TAS spilling out of her bra…he held his head down and just shook his head…..it was dream come true……he said…me….and Ms. Pam Grier
Which is sad because the character was written weak and she was killed in buffy in such a pathetic, easy way and replaced by a yt slayer who was made to look like a badass the entire series and on another series angel.
I remember when we first rented this from blockbuster. Me and all my cousins had the lights off chilling sharing snacks. Now we all grown and don’t even speak fr. This movie will always be tied to one of my fondest memories.

The scene when Pearl looks at a old picture of her and Jimmy in happier times as it was in the 70's as she is remembering the last time she saw Jimmy alive as she warned him about the meeting that will lead to his death as she wanted to see his hands as she is a psychic and Jimmy reassures and promises her that he will come back just fine as he kisses her is absolutely and positivity so relatable on so many levels as you truly and dearly missed the person you genuinely and sincerely loved and cared for as you wish they was still with you right now.🥺😔😭

Loved this classic. Gotta be honest Snoop actually killed this role and him playing the Love Interest to Pam Grier has to be a lifelong dream especially he always put on the "Pimp" Image and Persona like he Dolomite or Goldie from the Mack or something 😅. Clifton Powell played in alot of movies he doesn't get enough credit fr, lastly, of course Bianca Lawson doesn't age her or Queen 👑 Pam Grier. So this is one of my favorite horror movies when I was a kid and my theory about the bed scene with Cynthia was that it wasn't Bones Spirit that got in bed with her I think because her mother said that she also had the gift of sight her being in that house made her spiritually tap-in to all the spirits behind the veil almost like she was a beacon for all the spirits that were attached to the house as well as Jimmy bones. Like how when Bill was laying in the bed the spirits all showed up reaching out the walls.
You’re right about everybody deserving their karma, except Shotgun, although I understand Bones perspective in the situation as well. Shotgun could’ve died with him or died trying to save him.
The scene when Jimmy is confronting Eddie Mack and he is using glass shards as he is just standing their stoic is such a epic and badass image as of today it still gives me chills and goosebumps.😍😎💯👍😏😰😱
The black dog is the spiritual manifestation of Jimmy's tourted spirit as his spirit became angry for the past 20 years with the intention of getting revenge as he did not have a peaceful death.😭😔🥺
22:46 - 22:50 That look from Bianca should've told a lot of people what happened before they got out of there... you hate to see it, but I honestly have to say that Patrick was probably not the main one who brought all this on. Considering that his father was involved long before he was even born, his father unintentionally set his son up as a sacrifice to Jimmy Bones. The opening of that old building as a club was just one way it all came back to bite him in the butt. Think about it.
Fun fact: the director told Snoop he could use his medical herb but needed him sober due to safety risks during the stairwell fire scene. I believe it's floating on TH-cam still.
Pam Grier did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Pearl as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role as she displayed the elements of the character's grief, sorrow, agony, pain, trauma, and despair as she lost and witnessed the person's horrible death that she truly and dearly loved which traumatized her as it affected her emotionally and mentally for many years. This is one of her most greatest, iconic, and memorable roles in cinema.😍😎💯👍😏

This is one of the reviews that i’ve been waiting for. Thank you so much. I first saw this movie in theaters with a buddy of mine. It was inspired by JD’s Revenge & it’s a love letter to the blaxploitation era. Fun Facts: This movie was directed by Earnest R. Dickerson. He did cinematography on movies such as Krush Groove, School Daze, Do The Right Thing & Def By Temptation. He also directed Juice, Bulletproof & Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight & Candyman Farewell To The Flesh. Next week’s review is Vampire In Brooklyn. Since it’s the month of Halloween can we please get reviews on the following horror movies: Ganja & Hess Blackula Scream Blackula Scream Sugar Hill (1974) Abby JD’s Revenge Vamp Def By Temptation
Bones (2001) is memorable, iconic, and well-known due to it's story, practical effects, direction, and performance's. It also pays homage to blaxploitation films of the 1970's and incorporate numerous elements from the genre.😍😎💯👍
I feel bad for Pearl. Not only did she witnessed Jimmy getting betrayed and brutally murder she was also grieving his death for over 20 years as she still loved him truly and dearly. I'm so happy that they finally reunited. It was so sweet and genuine.😍😎💯👍🥺😔😭
Bones is the first movie you agree with the killer for his actions I love this movie it’s such classic black film highly underrated. " Dog eat dog brother dog eat dog." 😈 I love how Jimmy says it. It was just so sinister and well-deliver. To this day it still gives me chills and goosebumps.😍😎💯👍😏😰😱
Snoop Dogg did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Jimmy Bones as he put tons of emotion and depth into his role as he displayed the elements of the character's coolness, confidence, and swag. This is one of his most greatest, iconic, and memorable roles in cinema.😍😎💯👍😏
1. This was the first horror movie I’ve ever seen as kid and it scared me. 2. I have a black German Shepard now and he looks evil at night but he’s a big baby. 3. Bill was my first crush as well 😂
" I don't think your past is dead pop it's alive." 😰😱 That line is representing that Jeremiah's past is coming right back to haunt him as Jimmy is fully resurrected as a supernatural ghost with the intention of getting revenge on those who betrayed him, those who are responsible for his death, and anyone who gets in his way.😏😈
Fun fact: The guy who played Lupovich, played the younger version and the older version of the cop so the reason why he looks like he's melting is because he is wearing a fat suit.
Snoop Dogg and Pam Grier did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Jimmy Bones and Pearl as they both put tons of emotion and depth into their roles. Jimmy and Pearl's love story was so deep, raw, genuine, believable, relatable, sweet, and pure on so many levels as it was just absolutely and positivity constructed perfectly from the very beginning to the end. My heart aches for Jimmy and Pearl as they make such a lovely and beautiful couple as they both loved and have loyalty for each other truly and dearly but unfortunately their bond got shattered as Jimmy was betrayed and brutally murder and Pearl grieved his death for over 20 years.🥺😔😭 I was so happy that they finally reunited as it was so sweet and genuine. 😍😎💯👍🥺😔😭 The ending was bittersweet due to Jimmy getting his revenge 😏😈 but at the same time he died with Pearl as she sacrifice herself to die with Jimmy as she still loved him truly and dearly and grieved his death for over 20 years as she did not want to go through that again.🥺😔😭
When Jimmy said " Those fools they my people" 😐 I felt that in my heart as he knows what's good for them since he is the neighborhood protector spreading love and happiness in the community.😍😎💯👍
I love how Jimmy says " You heard the man try it" 😏😈 it was just so sinister and well-deliver. To this day it still gives me chills and goosebumps.😍😎💯👍😰😱
I remember going to see this movie Halloween night with my mom & sister. It was a throw back combo of the Blaxploitation & Hammer Horror films back in the 60s & 70s.

I used to love this movie! It's still one of my favourites ❤❤ I've only seen Snoop's Hood of Horrors one time, but you should definitely cover that one too
Excellent review as usual and I love your final thoughts and your voice is so soulful. This movie was so subliminal. It basically told the story of how there was people against bringing drugs into many thriving, working class “black” communities that they lived in, yet there were some willing to sell the people out for their own benefit and those who sold the people out paid the price with their souls. And what is crazy about that is it’s something that is still happening today on a grander scale just in black entertainment alone.
I just knew you was going to do Vampire in Brooklyn next that was literally my initial thought when you first uploaded this video 😂 I can’t wait for that one

She mentioned Kratos and Mimir. She's a gamer and I'm in love
I feel like Vampire in Brooklyn is next.. I could be wrong. All I know is, I’m gonna be laughing the entire time because chile..
It is. I would love to see a review on the movie that paved the way for Vampire In Brooklyn, Def By Temptation.
"Tales from the Hood" next please 😅
@@devantejackson5085she already did that. It’s on Spotify.
When Jimmy said " Those fools they my people" 😐 I felt that in my heart as he knows what's good for them since he is the neighborhood protector spreading love and happiness in the community.😍😎💯👍
14:46 can’t have a movie without him acting like he wants a oscar😂😂
I love how Jimmy says " You heard the man try it" 😏😈 it was just so sinister and well-deliver. To this day it still gives me chills and goosebumps.😍😎💯👍😰😱
That shit was wild 😂
@@91Definite Facts it was at that moment I ask myself " What in the wrong am I'm watching?" as it absolutely and positivity traumatized me.😅😰😱
I had to stop the video when she said “maybe it’s a mall between realms”😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bones got us saying don’t trust everybody…
I remember going to see this movie Halloween night with my mom & sister. It was a throw back combo of the Blaxploitation & Hammer Horror films back in the 60s & 70s.
The scene when Jimmy is confronting Shotgun as he did a hilarious scream is one of the most memorable and funniest scenes in the whole entire movie. LMAO it never gets old.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
" Heh heh it's a trip ain't it?" 😏😈 I love how Jimmy says it. It was just so hilarious and well-deliver.😍😎💯👍🤣
The bed scene with Cynthia was from one of the other spirits, not Jimmy
I love this movie❤❤❤your review made it even better
I used to love this movie! It's still one of my favourites ❤❤
I've only seen Snoop's Hood of Horrors one time, but you should definitely cover that one too
Excellent review as usual and I love your final thoughts and your voice is so soulful.
22:53 Cynthia got pulled back in the elevator shift, I think she died then. Hints why she got maggots
Bones possessed her. She's his daughter so she's full of his blood.
Girl, the god of war joke was perfect!
Classic! I still remember staying up n watching this on BET when my gma was sleep
Bianca Lawson was Gorgeous
" Is that it your big ass tidal wave?" 😏😈 I love how Jimmy says it. It was just so hilarious and well-deliver.😍😎💯👍🤣
Great review as always! Can’t wait til you do Thinner! One of my favs
Bro. No one ever knows what this vs movie is. Thank you.
Love this channel. Glad I found it. Your prospective on classic movies is phenomenal A plus. Keep up the good videos👊🏾
I just knew you was going to do Vampire in Brooklyn next that was literally my initial thought when you first uploaded this video 😂 I can’t wait for that one
Snoop hair used to be LAID
The scary part is the pastors and politicians are EXACTLY like Jeremiah, still walking around talking down on the people they helped poison
I was 15 when this movie came out, me and my brother rented it from blockbuster and we kept it for almost a month before we took it back 😂
Gurl, we all stand by Bones. Tia wasn't scared, ginger ain't scared if her cousin. In deadmeats killcount of this, james talked about Snoop and Pam. Snoop was loved that the woman grew up watching in movies was now kissing him.
Idk...you would be very surprised 😂
I was always so scared of this movie as a kid but I love it. Please do Thinner next, I’ve seen it 10 times 😂
