For anyone wondering, this video works %100. It only took 2 days to start seeing results! Now it's been about a month and my vocal range in more than an octive higher
I've been using my piano to keep track, I started out only being able to hit an F4, now I'm able to hit a G5 ( I've also been taking voice lessons recently so that helped a lot)
I'm a contralto but can eaily go up to E5, so while doing these exercises sort of yelling "Mum" I got the hiccups and my neighbour heard me, rang the door bell since she was convinced I had a stroke or a mental breakdown since my mother recently died. I tried to explain but I'm not sure she believed me. Good times.
I fuxking love this guy. He's one of my favorite singing coaches online. 😊 I used to sing when I was younger. I quit for a long time. Then I started singing in the car again not too long ago. And to say I was rusty is an understatement. Like literally my vocal chords probably had rust on them lol. Anyways. I forced a lot. I think I hurt my voice a bit...coz after a while I didn't sound the same. And I got worse. Lost some abilities I had prior to butchering my vocal chords. So I quit doing that. And now I really try to warm up before I try singing and just try to drink water and do what I can to prepare to sing. I still have a long way to go I think before I get my voice back...my real voice. I'm really quite sure I did some damage. I was trying to teach myself to scream too...which I think took a toll as well haha. So now I'm like not even at square 1...square 1 is like way down the way in the distance. I'm at like square -50 lol. Anyways. Here's hoping I can help get it back, if not improve even more so than my low standard... using only youtube videos lol. 😊

I am a lyric tenor. Lighter tone quality. Out of practice. Get hoarse after 1 or 2 songs in choir. Going to try 15 minutes a day or more drills. Need to sing lower and louder, want more "edge or core" to my voice. Will practice with posture and support. Had 3+ years of lessons a few years ago. It is tough to compete with those with dramatic and loud voices. I expect drills to help with what i want. Your explanations are great! Thank you for posting these. May drill some while driving, may get funny looks too!
I have always had a strong voice. Did solos with a choir and the choir sang behind me and the director would let me have a mic. This was in a gym. But I sang a little christmas show in a business mall, and my lower range u couldn't hear. But this helped! This is great

Word of advice to newer vocalist, if you have a cold and have an audition, don't tell them you have a cold. Never point out flaws in your voice. Because in some auditions they dont know what your voice sounds like. And may not even notice a cold in your vocals.
This is so good and great video to help us deal with higher octaves. Can't thank you enough ❤🎉
starting practice now !!! i will come back to update i also love these excersises !!
How‘s it going
I am a lyric tenor. Lighter tone quality. Out of practice. Get hoarse after 1 or 2 songs in choir. Going to try 15 minutes a day or more drills. Need to sing lower and louder, want more "edge or core" to my voice. Will practice with posture and support. Had 3+ years of lessons a few years ago. It is tough to compete with those with dramatic and loud voices. I expect drills to help with what i want. Your explanations are great! Thank you for posting these. May drill some while driving, may get funny looks too!
This was very helpful 💗 I hope you do one for guys so I can show my husband :_)
It's on my page. Same title but with "Male" rather than female. Freddie Mercury is on the thumbnail.
You are simply the best. God bless you real good
I have always had a strong voice. Did solos with a choir and the choir sang behind me and the director would let me have a mic. This was in a gym. But I sang a little christmas show in a business mall, and my lower range u couldn't hear. But this helped! This is great
Thanks to you, my high note gote 10x more better. You are amazing.
