Love your review Adrian, there's an air of genuine authenticity, there's no clout chasing typical attention grabbing personality. I was interested in the X50 but weighing between my budget and what makes sense, saga is probably going to be the one when economy is better, there's tonnes to improve on the car giving a sense of uniqueness only the owner can appreciate because of the time, investment and creativity to improve the car. here's some little detail I might go into it, anyone feel free to chip in, would love to learn from you as well. 1. Like you said, the insulation for engine and tires, strip open the interior of the car, insulate it with padding so that when I knock the car from the inside or outside, there's a dense sound bouncing off. 2. Switch the Silverstone for a Michelin 3. Change the headlamp because there's no real definition to the eye of Saga, would take inspiration from BMW or Mazda or any led headlamp that has circular eyes embedded within the headlamp, giving a more deeper and defined aesthetic, like how on a human face the eye sits inside overshadowed by its forehead by a little. 4. Ceramic Coating for the car for paint protection.
The fact that the Saga and Bezza has unique good qualities of their own make it very easy to pick one over another. Saga is already renowned for its dynamic ride, handling, refinement, well proportioned sedan silhouette and obviously cheaper price makes it good choice for keen driver and price conscious customers. While Bezza is good for buyer who want spacious, practical, reliability, well equipped and ultimate fuel consumption, no wonder it's popular choice among Grab drivers. At last, every product made for specific needs and this one is no exception.

Saga for sure. 186cm here and thigh support in the Saga was a key factor in my decision to get it. Having driven a Myvi for 11 years and tried the seats in a Bezza, there was no way I could put up with the uncomfortable seating position again for the next 5 years (at minimum). If my typical commute was less than 40km a day, or traffic jams a rare event on the routes, then no biggie, the Bezza seats would be fine.

Persona also sucks much more gas than the saga. Saga also has really good fuel economy on the highway which people don't hear., got it down to about 4.5-5.0L/100km. Can reach Johor to KL and back on almost single tank, if it wasn't for the traffic. :(
