i didn't know you should land on your toe when retreating, I thought it had the same concept when advancing where you land with ur heel then your toe, well thanks for the info.

Из моего не большого опыта, при шаге назад тоже поднимаем носок передней ноги вверх. Когда задняя нога двигается назад, то передняя одновременно встает на пятку и носок передней ноши вверх. Возможно это не верно.
Yes, there is a series for sabre on our channel. Please see "Intro to Beginners Sabre". It, too, is a four-part series. Yes, in sabre there is a distinct footwork identity, but I do not go into much detail on that as the "Intro" series is more of an introduction to get the ball rolling than it is a totally comprehensive set of lessons.
