I had to uninstall and reinstall reshade on sso recently. I tried these exact presets but it looks very different. For example, the emerald dream ADOF is nonexistent. It also looks patchy and static-y almost. Anyone know how to fix this? A lot of other presets look a bit.. off as well :') I just want this to be fixed because the showcase in this video was absolutely gorgeous!
Hii! Until very recently reshade was actually not working with Star Stable. If you havent reinstalled since the Western Camp update I reccomend doing so again. After that, follow the tutorial on how to set up your depth buffers in this video th-cam.com/video/PfUIzJBO_4E/w-d-xo.html from 4:03 onwards. Let me know if this helps :)

Hi! The background overlay isn’t working for me. It covers my whole screen. I followed what you told another commenter with the same issue, but nothing seems to be working. I’ve played around with some of the reshade settings, and it makes no difference.
Hi!! Really bad timing. As of yesterday, reshades 3D effects no longer work with Star Stable. They changed something within yesterdays update that messed with the depth in the game and therefore it no longer works. The community has made it very clear to the Star Stable team that they are unhappy about this and today they seemed to have made a comment surrounding it suggesting that they themselves will look into it.

Hiii! On your graphics tab in settings, turn off vertical sync, anti-aliasing, reflections and anisotropic filtering. The only thing that should be left on out of those options is shadows. This can really mess up the depth of field effect if left on (not sure why!!). That should hopefully fix the depth overlay issue but if not let me know! As for the background overlay not showing, does it flash on and off or not at all? If it flashes on and off, it could be an internet connectivity problem. For some reason when my internet isnt strong it does this or refuses to show the background at all. You can check this by pressing "home" on your keyboard to bring up the menu then go to "add-ons". If there is an issue it will say. If this isnt the case, make sure that the background overlay isnt downloaded to the preset folder but instead the textures folder!!! It wont read the file if its in the presets folder it has to be in the seperate textures folder. If youre having issues still with the depth overlay after that, consider having a look at this video from 3 minutes onwards (will link in another comment below). Let me know if this helps!!
The textures in the Tangara presets appear to me as Photoshop files and do not appear when I apply the preset, and the fog doesn't show up too, how do I fix this?

Sounds like your depth buffers arent set up correctly. Have a look at this video th-cam.com/video/PfUIzJBO_4E/w-d-xo.html from 4:03 onwards and let me know if this helps. Also make sure that in your star stable settings under "graphics" that the only thing turned on is reflections!
No worries! Make sure that you have definitely installed reshade to your game correctly by pressing the "home" key (or whatever the mac equivalent is if you're on one) - if nothing comes up its most likely not installed to the right location and so you will have to reinstall it. If it is installed, you should have a reshade control panel pop up when you press "home". Go to the third tab "settings" and look for the third option that says "effect toggle key". Set this as a key you dont usually use (I have mine set to "U" as this isnt a hotkey in the game) and then you can use this key to turn reshade on and off. As for installing and using presets, go to Ko-fi linked in the description and pick out a preset that you like. Make sure that you install the file that you get into your "preset" folder that should automatically create when you install reshade. Should be under sso client. Some presets make the background foggy if I have it in a special “mode” if u know what I mean. Is there a way to make the background always look foggy?
Do you mean depth of field where the background is blurred? Or do you mean the way some presets have a tinted fog that colours the background a little?
Hi what anti virus are you using? I have tried with both F-secure and McAfee and both have deemed the website safe. This is defintiely just a warning message that they have to give out because you are downloading from an unknown source, but it is definitely safe as it just contains a reshade preset and a PNG. Still, be aware when downloading unknown things from Ko-Fi as you dont know what people are linking, but in this case that is just a precautionary message as it is most likely just an unverified site on your anti virus. All big star stable preset creators, that have big downloads on all their presets, are legit. Hope this helps!

I downloaded the presets and moved the textures to the textures folder, but the background images won't show up in game. Anyone know how to fix it?
