Sso is really ugly without ReShade, they got to do somthing about it. Old sso was lovely in so many ways one of them was because we did not need ReShade, now that the game quite literally looks lika a crappy fortnite we need that (Reshade) but they are saying IT IS NOT THEYRE PROBLEM?? WTH
@@Adxcent150To me it looks like a roblox game trying to appeal to gen z alpha with all the bright colors, like it hurts my eyes, also the graphics look like fortnight.
Honeslty this is one of the realest videos on the reshade and open world thing, so i'm a player from 2015 and i can't even explain how much i miss the feeling from back then because back then you knew starstable CARED about their players and everything had a connection to reality and now they're just messing it up REAL REAL bad. ty for this video!!
THIS IS SO TRUE. The game is literally a chat room now. I can do everything I need to do without even moving. I really hate how this game doesn't feel like a game anymore. There's no more immersion; back then, kids used to get attached to their pixel horses even though they were just pixels. Now, they are just accessories. Why would I ride my horse to Moorland when I can trailer there? Why would I even go to Moorland in the first place when I could buy all the accessories I wanted while standing in Steve's? Already I see nobody running around the world anymore, save for the occasional newbie questing. But now they're removing one of their last reasons that encourages people to actually explore the world they've built; finding and buying new horses. There is something so unique and exciting about running around Star Stable with your friends and buying horses together that no other game has. I am sure that if they implement this feature, the global store will eventually have all the horses, and the game will become more robotic.
As much as i dislike the global stores (both btw) it would make sense if sso put them in as app only features, like anyone playing on a pc will gladly run around for hours buying clothes and making outfits, but mobile users want easy access so the mobile version should be the only one with these stores
This is such a good idea and a really good way of looking at it!!! I wonder if they would be capable of doing that or whether they *must* add it to both because of the way their game works. Super interesting idea of doing it, I hope they see a suggestion like this! ♡
I think part of what bothers me most about SSO's behaviour nowadays is that we do remember what it was like before. SSO itself has been such a huge part of my life (and an anchor in a not all that smooth-sailing one,,) and I could never hate this game, but even the way the story has been changed by the new team(s) compared to what it was originally is so, so disappointing - for example, the dark riders' characterization has been butchered and they are now generic kids TV show villains, and Darko is a complete nobody that is such a massive downgrade from Mr Sands that it's cringeworthy that SSO wants him to be some Big Bad of the story. There's no charm left in SSO anymore and it's not _just_ because a lot of us do have nostalgic feelings toward the old world graphics (even when, like me, they might enjoy the new horses while missing the old terrain) but because the team has sucked all of it out and thrown it out a window. Your little line about people who responded with "I don't train my horses, I take pictures with my horses," is bigger than it sounds, I think. People are bored of the game, taking pictures is all a lot of us can do because there are no quests, either we don't like training or all our horses are trained, but there's only any fun in taking pictures if we can have reshade to customize the games' weird color problems!! The colour grading(?) in modern SSO is actually another part of why I miss the old graphics quite a bit; everything just feels _plastic_ nowadays, even some of the textures like a lot of the trees feel like a downgrade. If they could've found a way to just upgrade the old textures somehow (Take a game like Wolfquest for example; obviously SSO wouldn't be at that level of realism, but Wolfquest has an even smaller team than this _company)_ then maybe it wouldn't look so off in texture but the colours are so gross that none of it looks right. I have such mixed (mostly negative) feelings about the horse store. There was so much soul in original SSO in general, let alone that undescribable feeling of getting a new horse, if I can sound sappy for a second. It's just so.. ugh. I dunno, I don't really have an ending to this little rant, I'm sorry about the long comment; sometimes SSO just makes you need to ramble, I suppose. I'm very biased, given I've been around since the early-SSO days. I haven't played in a few days so I hadn't known about reshade. Really disappointing given one of my favorite presets was Last Blossoms.
Dont apologise for a long comment!! I throughly enjoyed reading, and I quite literally agree with everything that you said. I too have been playing for as long as I can remember, since before you could even buy additional horses. When that became a feature, the excitement was just something else. And the new textures - I think the rocks for sure definitely feel the most plastic of all of them. Some are an improvement, but the old *style* like you said is really what made it special. Character dialogue now is just... so poorly written. Theyre all so lifeless. Thanks for your comment!!
Your points about sso removing ALL features that make the game realistic is so truee!! They have removed horses being cold tolerant, horses needing care after riding on them for a while (like duuh a horse isn’t a car and even a car needs maintenance), horses running faster on roads (makes sense as it is even ground and not forest hills), horses slowing down (now they seem like motorcycles and we are just zooming around) and more things but can’t think of them right now. Like why, for what? Nobody asked for these to be removed they were things I actually enjoyed. I remember levling horses with friends and strategicly stopping at a stable to care for our horses during the levling. I simply don’t understand their decisions😅
I still haven't checked if my reshade works, and i am scared to do so... i am gonna be sad and mad if my reshade will not work... its disgusting that they wont fix a smal bug..
to be fair, reshade is not a software from starstable so they dont have to look over if they "bug" it with updates they have to do to evolve their game. so it is on reshade to do something not on starstable..
the stay over night update is also something that i feel like kept their quests interesting and more spread out, getting rid of it just means quests are going to be so much less interactive and lifelike. i know this is just my opinion but they are slowly draining the life out of the game and it makes me sad :(
I definitely agree especially with the reshade part! The game without it looks so vibrant without it. I believe the wardrobe bug fixes it but I'm not 100% sure since my reshade isn't correct. I absolutely hate the horse shop it ruins the nostalgia of running around to find the horse. They need to think about what they're doing.
I just started playing so i have no thoughts on reshade, but i totally agree with the online store thing. I’ve been having a blast riding around visiting every shop individually, even with the store I’ll keep doing that because I love the open world concept so much. I do wish the game would incorporate more difficulty (like you said, taking care of your horse throughout the day) and maybe even having to take care of yourself too! I also wish there were more like.. buildings we could enter and interact with and if mini games could be part of that too. Would also love a social tab like Stardew valley has where we could build and see our budding friendships with npcs etc if that makes sense. As a noob I’d love to know what servers you all like the best/is most active??
Also they need to update the customization for our character faces asap.. I feel like the old way they looked better still/prettier??? It’d be cool if we could customize them by nose, eye shape, mouth shape, etc .. Just a personal preference tho
Individual feature customisation would be so good!! I really wish they spent more time developing the characters and fixing the proportions instead of creating loads of new horses. Build on what they have first. So much potential for fun features and so much potential to make this game big, theyre just focusing their attention into the wrong areas. As for active servers, i can only talk for UK and NA regions since thats all I have accounts on, but Cupcake Valley for UK and Night Star for NA are the two most active!! I personally play on UK Soda Night since I like the quiet side of the game ♡
For NA servers here’s some details Active and full of Drama: Night Star Hazy Galaxy Raspberry Valley Active with Drama here & there: Night Sprinkles (my server, we’re amazing) Frost Valley Poppy Moon Absolutely dead: Stormy Pear Meringue Cloud Cookie Canyon Any others are a mix, sometimes leaning more towards drama, sometimes not.
This doesn’t really relate to reshade but I hate how when you join the game there are horses you can buy, if I joined sso today I’d honestly not give any money to them because they are trying to get you to buy as soon as you join the game, and the second I saw sc prices I’d never play again tbh.
Everything I miss about old SSO: - Cold tolerance in Dino Valley (Such a realistic feature that shouldn't have been removed) Your journey was more difficult through the valley but realistic. - Your horse getting weaker every time you fell off a high cliff to the point where you got send to your homestable to feed your horse and wait till your horse healed - the sound effects your horse made when you galloped over the island or stopped (I now realise how much I miss it) - Having to explore the island and visit towns or villages to buy stuff and horses (now with the global shop SSO took away the point of exploring the island and meet friends) - The old music on the background in Silverglade, Moorland, Fortpinta, Valedale, Firgrove etc. -The old music in the quests. Especially in the mainstory quests. - Having a limit in buying horses because your homestable wasn't that big. Okay the new homestable is fun now that you can buy unlimited horses but it isn't realistic. And when you did want more horses you'd have to sell one of your other horses you barely use. -Horse island. This was such a fun feature cause you could send your horses on vacation so you didn't have to take care of them if you didn't have any time. - Reputation with the Kallters to buy a Fjord horse. This was such a good way to teach players patience and earn your way to get the prize. When I bought my gen 1 Fjord horse it felt like I truly deserved it cause I put all my effort in doing the daily quests to reach level populair. Now players can just easily buy a Fjord horse without visiting Dino Valley and doing reputation with the Kallters. Again SSO missing the entire point of earning and working towards your prize. I was also eagerly awaiting the day Dino Valley got more content with the Kallters and Nick Stoneground. There was so much potential for Ashland to be released and the Kallters storyline to be continued like what is behind the Icengate? But they completly ignored this area the last couple of years. - Dayblockers. No single player can continue on forever playing quests. When I did all the quests with npc's available that day I got a dayblocker and had to wait till the next day to continue. This way I didn't stop in the middle of a quest like now. - Taking away the challenge in quests. Certain quests had difficulties such as being caught by a guard during an illegal task and having to start over, running out of time during a quest to build something or a race and having to start over again etc. I really liked these difficulties but they took it out and made things easier. - Not unlocking all the older quests at the start. In the past it took you weeks to unlock more quests. You had to reach a cetain level or do a lot of quests and unlock certain area's to get the quests you want to do. Now you can finish the game within 1-2 months. It took me back in 2015 when I got a lifetime starrider subscription up till 6 months if not more to do all the quests new players just finish in a few days or weeks. - The pacing is another thing. It used to be done so well that you didn't do a certain mainstory or side story quest before you unlocked the required area and did the quests to help the npc's of that specific area first. Now you can do the quest to save Anne before you even reach Epona. And that's because reputation quests with the Sun circle and Lighting circle got deleted. And because the older main story quests are shoved in your face in a very uncomfortable way. Before you reach Dino Valley, Epona and Mistfal your already at the current main story quest released not to long ago sharing the same problem of having run out of quests like older players and waiting an eternity for new content. This is SSO's current problem and needs to be solved for the game to survive. All these features (except for a few) should return.
Truthfully I understand it is frustrating and/or infuriating but you must consider that starstable Wouldn't just alter any systems/settings just because they can, if there have been any changes it will have been for a reason. Neither I, nor U knows why the changes were done. Just because we cannot see or haven't been told the reason, doesn't mean it is of no importance to the game. Aside from that, it is important to realise that Reshade is something that applies to starstable, making it the responsibility of the program itself to make sure their systems remain/continue to be viable with this constantly changing and updating game. I dont mean any offense or disrespect to anyone or their opinions with this whatsoever. I understand that each and every person has a different perspective and fully respect that. Non the less I just wanted to share my perspective.
Even though I started playing in 2019 January I got to experience a lot from the old story (then I also played the Starshine Legacy games). Let me tell you that I can barely take the new Dark riders seriously (expect for Katja and hopefully they won't mess up Erissa cause she has potential). The quest during the equestrian festival for the whole time I wanted to smack Sabine, girl is trying so hard to sound edgy but ends up being absolutely cringe. Jessica is barely present in any of the quests and Darko should've stayed dead (I may not like him but I don't want him to get degraded too). The new quest was also barely anything. We just chased Erissa then had a chit chat with the Darkriders about their big ol' plans? Realistically they would've either tried to kill us or find a way to kick us out of their little meeting *immediately* not let us into the conversation. Also instead of bringing back Darko they could've tried to free Erissa's horse too or give Mr. Sands a monster form so he can fight aswell. As for the removal of realism they can't even execute fights properly in quests everything is just click and boom ✨girl magic✨. Where the hell are my weapons? What about mounted combat? They don't have to so anything fancy just install some combat mechanism like in any other combat game as if we are actual soul riders and not just sparkly girlhood pink and purple friendship That way they could also unlock a pvp (WITH HORSES) aspect for the game aside from taking pictures with Reshade and introduce a bunch of skills you could improve that would give your character a buff or boost. Also we could have skill trees for our horses and "professions" for them like we could train them to be warhorses (thats what our starter horses should be in my opinion) or police horses or just for simple everyday use or for showing The breed characteristics of the horse will affect the training's difficulty. This are only a few ideas but these could already make the game a lot better. Might give more of a combat game vibe but could make the game more interesting and also introduce a new type gameplay for horse games.
we NEVER asked for a global horse store. the game is becoming too inconvenient that its boring. i LIKE having to go across the maps, access new areas for certain horses. it gives the horses a purpose when i finally get there. There are other things we've needed for ages, a new wardrobe for example, yet they prioritise that crap? we've lost april fools, easter etc and got nothing of value in return.
Right. Games are supposed to have at least some sort of "challenging" aspect - whats the point of playing a game you quite literally dont have to play?
listen, i wholeheartedly see where your coming from, but at the end of the day star stable is not going to care. they do not reach or really engage with our side, the RRP and reshade side. their game now is targeted to gen z/gen alpha, consuming mostly 6-11 year olds. they make the game easier for them and they are doing what they want. it sucks because i use reshade and RRP, but i get what they are doing. just because one side of their community is furious about reshade, there is still a whole other side that does not care and enjoys what they are doing. i doubt they will fix this resahde thing unless it had to do with the EQ festival which will then be removed.
They have released a statement today saying that they have heard the communities sentiment regarding reshade and will do everything in their power to look into cooperation with it. Time will only tell, but if they do realise their wrongs and actively fix whatever they changed, not I or anyone else will forget the initial reaction to it any time soon for sure.
i’ve been playing since before you could download sso and honestly changing the ui interface was the worst thing they ever did ever the old one was so nostalgic and cute idk why they had to make everything look so modern it takes away a lot from the game
I personally like the new UI! But it for sure lacks personality which the old one was full of. The old one was so iconic. I like that everything is so simply on my screen now, i have more space, and everything is easy to access. However, I really wish they paid homage to the old one in some way!! Maybe kept the horseshoe map or something, that was so cute
I tried to install reshade 4.4 yesterday for the first time and now my game doesn't launch anymore. Older versions no longer work for me either. It's such a pain
Unfortunately not true. Most of the horses in the global store I actually own, with loads of random ones I don't scattered about. It's just a few coat colours of the newest breed.
I like the global horse store tbh cause I’m not a star rider so it’s really useful for me to get horses and look at horses that aren’t around the non star rider area
@@Adxcent150but doesnt the global horse store only show the horses you’ve unlocked? So it doesnt matter whether youre star rider or not, it will only show horses that you can access anyway??
its not overreacting when a game that costs this much makes so many mistakes even after being here for more than 10 years and earning millions of dollars. SSO looks ugly without reshades, this game has more bugs than content and they refuse to do anything about them. No one would have a problem with these issues and how the game looks if this was an indie company with like 10 people who just started their game, but its a big company that has been here for way too long to be making mistakes like these and stuff. Atp SSO is way too overpriced for how it looks, what it gives and how this team manages their issues and players, also lets not talk about how outdated most of the features are... a game that costs 80 dollars shouldnt have stuff where it literally writes *searching* while a bar is filling up and our charatrer is just standing there doing nothing, its not an early access game with unexperienced programers so stop treating them like they're one. This game worths 20 dollars at max in this state. Its just funny how they were able to do fun updates and events 10 years ago when they had a smaller team and less money or good tech stuff but now that they have everyting it just got way worse and thats embarrassing. SSO is only considered the best horse game because its the only one in the market rn that has an open world with a lot of horse breeds, but that doesnt mean its a good game.SSO is going to have even more problems and they're going to loose so many players after more horse game are going to get realesed, like Astride, Unbridled: that horse game and so many other ones that are already looking way better even tho they're not even done at all
You probably haven’t played the old SSO game or you don’t understand, no hate on you!!❤ But why we react to these small details, like removing the old trees and replacing them with new ones, or adding new tiny islands and removing parts of Jorvik that won’t be replaced. Is that so many old players, even me, believes the game is updating to fast that we aren’t ready for it, if you watch the old vids from sso in 2013-2017, and then watch vids from 2018 to now it might not be “fast updatings” for you, but so many of us believe it is. Some of us old sso players have so many childhood memories in this game, and now that sso has deleted and replaced so much in just a few days, weeks, months and years, so many of us feels like those memories are being deleted as well. I might be the only one that thinks like that but i could also be wrong, but that’s how i feel and se it. I was a big SSO fan! But after these constant updates and constant horse deleting, it doesn’t feel like sso anymore to me, just another different magical horse game. I completely understand your thoughts about the “over reactions” on some of us players, but many of us have many old memories of this game and so much have changed. Even the valedale forest doesn’t look the same anymore. Now i hope you understand why we take notice to tiny details in this game.
This is exactly how it has been, star stable not listening to their players. I really had hope since it's been getting better and better 2022-2023, and now back to this again :(
This. I really started having hope for the game to last a long time, changing with the audience and trying to interact with them in ways they felt included. This just felt like a complete reversal
I used to play from around 2012 to 2017. I can no longer play as I only have a chromebook, which they refuse to make playable. I was heartbroken when I started looking at these videos nostalgically as every bit of magic I remember is gone. Horses always being tied to areas and levels, making every purchase a hard-earned and special event, less horses added so new horses were also a special and exciting event, the quality storyline, the distingisable graphics. And now I'm hearing the horses have been made machine like, with no cold tolerance, no work needed to unlock areas for them, no care needed, etc. it looks like a shiny shop now tbh, with no real care for the story, or game appearance. The new horses look amazing, but also not at all 'star stable'. They could be stuck in many other games and fit in well. They also look ridiculous against those graphics. I was planning on saving up for a playable device and getting back into it. I won't bother now. I remember the ability to freely hide the rider and new stables were amazing updates and really improved gameplay; but they still haven't completed the stables with further extensions or paddock access, just stormed on with making the game into a new one that fits thier vision. And still no rugs, flymasks, or lead ropes? It seems purchasable features are the only important ones now, they honestly should have made a new horse game that fits what they want rather than bulldozing an existing one. I adored the storyline and the character designs, the biggest loss in my opinion. Fjords being just somewhere random on map is so insane to me. Just no quality of gameplay or motivation to work hard, engage with the story and world, etc.
I really couldnt have worded this dissapointment in the game better myself. Thank you for this comment. If this was a month earlier, I would be writing to you now how you should definitely get back into the game. The hollow woods update was incredible and their focus on gameplay and new unique features was admirable. All of the star coin codes, all of the community appreciation.... it felt *good*. Its not the Star Stable I grew up with, infact a complete different game, but good in its own right. Now, today, I just feel a bit lost with it, and Im missing the old Star Stable more than ever. The equestrian festival plastering the dark riders everywhere so nonchalantly has me missing the old story line, has me missing the old dialogue when the team understood their characters, their origins, and what their intents were. It has me missing what I originally believed that this game was going to become
@@Adxcent150 I still login via the website and interact for around half an hour once a month to prevent my account being deleted, and can see myself going back on to see my horses someday in the future. But I won't spend any money or really go past my homestable. Such a loss of such an amazing game
@@Adxcent150 I am much like you, where I haven't had the anger and negativity towards SSO as the rest of the community has, and I've known about the game since 2015 - been playing since 2017. The lore and main story + all of the unique characters were one of my largest loves of the game; next to all of the other little features and old art style/graphics. I'll never get over the fact that they didn't design the rest of the game after Epona, as they were originally going to do. Instead, they went with Mistfall. SSO was never intended to be flashy and modern; it was niche, small, and unique. It went from being a small team of under 50 to a booming business of over 250 employees. It became very commercialised and modernised. I miss when the story was set in the 2000s on an island that was technologically behind the times, laced with secret legends and magic. I miss all of the old characters and their funky designs. It's not us that's changed; we're just realising that _it_ has.
Just thinking, a large amount of players reminded them that they are a MMORPG each time they tried to use their old stupid arguments about why there's only girls available. And now they are removing the open world aspects? Knowing that MMORPGs already on the market make the players compare with them and see that what SSO does isn't good or normal for that kind of games? It's just a lazy try to stop that kind of critiques.
im gonna be honest, im just hoping that in the future there will be a NEW horse game that's better than sso but still has similar feautures like horse buying, buying clothes, taking pictures, quests, and fun events/holiday events and is open world and doesnt ruin the open world feel. except they DONT take away stuff that make the game fun and they actually spend time working on things and WORK ON QUESTS INSTEAD OF ADDING NEW HORSES and honestly i dont like there story at all, its not fun reading a whole lot of text, there story just isnt interesting in my opinion, its like all over the place and hard to actually understand whats going on when they literally TAKE SO LONG to add more to the story
Is it not supposed to be working? Mine is fine? Granted I don't use crazy filters like some content creators but the ones I have downloaded work? Reshade had a new update not that long ago have people been updating their reshade//reinstalling it?
@@Adxcent150 ahhh I see I haven't noticed because of the filters I use but I can definitely see that as an issue... I guess the question is What's next that won't work if those won't and SSO doesn't care.. 😬
There are plenty of things I blame SSO for, but "breaking ReShade" isn't one of them. ReShade is an injector, made by a third party, that enhances graphics and adds post-processing effects to games such as SSO, Minecraft, GTA 5, and Sims 4. It's, in effect, a mod - specifically a shader mod. Mods aren't made in collaboration with the game they are made for, and the developers of the game don't intend for their game to be played with them (shaders don't match the vision for the game, are demanding on hardware, can cause crashes, interfere with visibility in-game, etc.). Thus, it's up to ReShade's developers to update it to function with the current version of SSO. This is completely standard and ReShade (and others like it) have always needed updated whenever a game it supports breaks it. As for what was changed, it was that SSO added "anti-aliasing". Anti-aliasing smooths edges on models and textures, making things look less pixelated. You see it all the time without realizing it, including in the text of this comment (notice how the curves in "SSO" look smooth and a little blurry around the edges). It isn't supposed to be a noticeable change, but it does mess with anything that changes they way graphics are processed.
I have debated taking this video down a couple of times now as reshade is back working, it was a big thing to adjust to and so I was maybe a bit more passive agressive than I intended to be, and I didnt cover as many points as I had wished to. I know how reshade works, how games work, third party mods etc., but due to Star Stables reponse on the matter and filming this on the same day it produced this video, which is basically just one long rant. However, this video is still super relevant in terms of the death of realism in the game and the over-simplification of features that makes this MMORPG feel more like a massive virtual shop and not much else beyond that despite the world that we have offered to us. It feels like the only thing that, at the time of this video, being utilised was the options to make everything quick on hand, which deemed the massive open world we have to explore almost useless. I do think I need to remake this video in a better way talking a bit more about the things I actually wanted to cover, leaving out my massive reshade rant. Thanks for the comment!!
The ponies have been the same speed as normal horses for a while now!! My DOF is also really zoomed out, so it looks as though im going faster than I am ♡
Everybody's being so negative about Star Stable on the internet, but when I play the game myself I have the opposite experience. I'm sure that there's issues that need to be resolved, and that the community needs to put out videos for the developers to listen. I guess when a game gets to be so old, and people have such great memories from it, but then things change, they are even less open to those changes too. Maybe old Star Stable was more pretty, but I really have been finding everything to be so beautiful the way it is now, without the knowledge of how it looked before.
Guys what if we just stop paying for star rider. Think abt it, if no one pays, they'd have to lower the price or remove it, or perhaps add a one time payment like 30 bucks. I'm sick of paying 10 bucks a month for it, we're eating from the palms of their greedy hands.
@@Adxcent150 one time payment is 80 dollars, I got farcry 6 gold edition for less than that (farcry 6 has top notch graphics, looks like real life fr) if it was 30 I'd do it, but unfortunately it's either 10 a month or 80 bucks : (
I didnt watch the full video but theres a modded version 4.4 that works! it has all of the current stuff thats on reshade just a purple ui and its modeled after the old one! I can send you the link if you’d like. Its on SSO photography center on discord the modded version was made by some of the reshade devs! Sadly presets made by others dont work unless you get ones for the modded version which so far there arent many.
I wish Sso would just leave the game the way it is! it doesn't have to be a complex universe where it is not very fun to play whats the fun in buying a horse at a global store!?
Ok if u don’t like the game don’t play it and u can make the sso people upset and mad and who wants to set hear and listen to u hate on the game but ur audience is SSO PLAYERS AND ITS RUDE TO US
To be honest, the only thing i agree with is horse global, while it could be useful to lessen the lag when a new horse breed gets released, realistically, everyone is still going to go to the area where the horse is sold because it's more fun and whatnot. The thing with reshader sounds more like a reshader problem rather than a sso problem since it's a 3rd party program and not really sso's responsibility; think of it like a sims 4 mod, every time sims 4 updates it's the mods that have to accommodate themselves to the game not vice-versa, so yes it's people that use reshader that have to contact reshader not sso who btw is trying to add their own sort of reshader in the settings, for now there's only contrast, saturation and brightness but hopefully in the future we can see something more, in before sso also updates their lighting and day and night cycles like they've talked about in one of their blogs (which would be a blessing, i'm tired of the weird light coming out of nowhere when it's nighttime). As for realism in the game, in all honesty, i wasn't a huge fan of those things, i found them incredibly annoying, especially the taking care of horse multiple times a day it was a huge waste of js that i could use to buy clothes and tack (i am aware there's collecting fireflies as a way to make bank but i am a person with not a huge amount of time in my hands so that's definitely not something that i could do) think sso could add a toggle for realism in the future, but i definitely would not want it as a returning feature that's forced upon me ( and others that would agree with me)
Sso is really ugly without ReShade, they got to do somthing about it. Old sso was lovely in so many ways one of them was because we did not need ReShade, now that the game quite literally looks lika a crappy fortnite we need that (Reshade) but they are saying IT IS NOT THEYRE PROBLEM?? WTH

As someone who plays on mobile I’m insulted 😭
I simply don’t understand their decisions😅
real veli
i think player levels will go down a lot because assuming the global horse shop will have no level limit. they are destroying their game tbh
I have never listened to someone so relatable, you take the words out of my mouth
The video literally covers this
PREACHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH THANK YOU
the stay over night update is also something that i feel like kept their quests interesting and more spread out, getting rid of it just means quests are going to be so much less interactive and lifelike. i know this is just my opinion but they are slowly draining the life out of the game and it makes me sad :(
Yesss I was so confused about the removal of this. Theres only so much someone can quest in a day anyway, the limitations were good limitations
For NA servers here’s some details
Active and full of Drama:
Night Star
Hazy Galaxy
Raspberry Valley
Active with Drama here & there:
Night Sprinkles (my server, we’re amazing)
Frost Valley
Poppy Moon
Absolutely dead:
Stormy Pear
Meringue Cloud
Cookie Canyon
Any others are a mix, sometimes leaning more towards drama, sometimes not.

This doesn’t really relate to reshade but I hate how when you join the game there are horses you can buy, if I joined sso today I’d honestly not give any money to them because they are trying to get you to buy as soon as you join the game, and the second I saw sc prices I’d never play again tbh.
Everything I miss about old SSO:
- Cold tolerance in Dino Valley (Such a realistic feature that shouldn't have been removed) Your journey was more difficult through the valley but realistic.
- Your horse getting weaker every time you fell off a high cliff to the point where you got send to your homestable to feed your horse and wait till your horse healed
- the sound effects your horse made when you galloped over the island or stopped (I now realise how much I miss it)
- Having to explore the island and visit towns or villages to buy stuff and horses (now with the global shop SSO took away the point of exploring the island and meet friends)
- The old music on the background in Silverglade, Moorland, Fortpinta, Valedale, Firgrove etc.
They don't have to so anything fancy just install some combat mechanism like in any other combat game as if we are actual soul riders and not just sparkly girlhood pink and purple friendship
That way they could also unlock a pvp (WITH HORSES) aspect for the game aside from taking pictures with Reshade and introduce a bunch of skills you could improve that would give your character a buff or boost.
Also we could have skill trees for our horses and "professions" for them like we could train them to be warhorses (thats what our starter horses should be in my opinion) or police horses or just for simple everyday use or for showing
The breed characteristics of the horse will affect the training's difficulty.
This are only a few ideas but these could already make the game a lot better. Might give more of a combat game vibe but could make the game more interesting and also introduce a new type gameplay for horse games.
I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY ME? its been like this for me since the start of the WINTER EVENT-
we NEVER asked for a global horse store. the game is becoming too inconvenient that its boring. i LIKE having to go across the maps, access new areas for certain horses. it gives the horses a purpose when i finally get there.
@@Adxcent150 that’s completely valid. they were so quick tempered with it, glad they are figuring it out
i’ve been playing since before you could download sso and honestly changing the ui interface was the worst thing they ever did ever the old one was so nostalgic and cute idk why they had to make everything look so modern it takes away a lot from the game
@@Adxcent150 I agree!!
I tried to install reshade 4.4 yesterday for the first time and now my game doesn't launch anymore. Older versions no longer work for me either. It's such a pain
Its so dissapointing, and I really feel for those who spent hours making presets to share with us
The global horse store showed the horses you haven't bought I've noticed.
Its nice to see the global horse store from this perspective!! Thanks for your comment ♡
@@Adxcent150but doesnt the global horse store only show the horses you’ve unlocked? So it doesnt matter whether youre star rider or not, it will only show horses that you can access anyway??
Anyone else out there who thinks that people over react on details in sso ?? The ity bitty things ..❤
Removing multiple important open-world aspects of an open-world game doesn't sound like a detail to me but a fundamental problem.
its not overreacting when a game that costs this much makes so many mistakes even after being here for more than 10 years and earning millions of dollars. SSO is only considered the best horse game because its the only one in the market rn that has an open world with a lot of horse breeds, but that doesnt mean its a good game.SSO is going to have even more problems and they're going to loose so many players after more horse game are going to get realesed, like Astride, Unbridled: that horse game and so many other ones that are already looking way better even tho they're not even done at all
You probably haven’t played the old SSO game or you don’t understand, no hate on you!!❤
But why we react to these small details, like removing the old trees and replacing them with new ones, or adding new tiny islands and removing parts of Jorvik that won’t be replaced.
U do guys do understand games change over yesrs to get keep up stop overreacting uf u dont wanna use global dont use okay.
This isnt an example of changing to keep up and is irrelevant
This is exactly how it has been, star stable not listening to their players. I really had hope since it's been getting better and better 2022-2023, and now back to this again :(
This. I really started having hope for the game to last a long time, changing with the audience and trying to interact with them in ways they felt included. This just felt like a complete reversal
@@Adxcent150 YES. I've recently lost my interest in sso, which ive had since 2014 and I'm really sad about that :(
I have reshade but i cant use 3d shaders 💀💀
Yeah same for everyone atm
It's just a lazy try to stop that kind of critiques.
im gonna be honest, im just hoping that in the future there will be a NEW horse game that's better than sso but still has similar feautures like horse buying, buying clothes, taking pictures, quests, and fun events/holiday events and is open world and doesnt ruin the open world feel. except they DONT take away stuff that make the game fun and they actually spend time working on things and WORK ON QUESTS INSTEAD OF ADDING NEW HORSES
and honestly i dont like there story at all, its not fun reading a whole lot of text, there story just isnt interesting in my opinion, its like all over the place and hard to actually understand whats going on when they literally TAKE SO LONG to add more to the story
Is it not supposed to be working? Mine is fine? Granted I don't use crazy filters like some content creators but the ones I have downloaded work? Reshade had a new update not that long ago have people been updating their reshade//reinstalling it?
dof and 3d effects broken
How is your Jorvik pony so fast?
The ponies have been the same speed as normal horses for a while now!! My DOF is also really zoomed out, so it looks as though im going faster than I am ♡
She's also level 26, so that may add to the speediness factor :p
reshade still works for me
3d and dof effects
@@Adxcent150 ahh okay, i thought you meant regular reshade😅
There is a one time payment! I think its fairly priced to be honest, no more expensive than buying another big game x
@@Adxcent150 one time payment is 80 dollars, I got farcry 6 gold edition for less than that (farcry 6 has top notch graphics, looks like real life fr) if it was 30 I'd do it, but unfortunately it's either 10 a month or 80 bucks : (
Sso has said that they are going to fix reshade sooo

I didnt watch the full video but theres a modded version 4.4 that works! it has all of the current stuff thats on reshade just a purple ui and its modeled after the old one! I can send you the link if you’d like. Its on SSO photography center on discord the modded version was made by some of the reshade devs! Sadly presets made by others dont work unless you get ones for the modded version which so far there arent many.
I agree
