- I think most of us can agree that no one has any idea what is going on in the story anymore. Join me while I attempt to figure out why and learn what exactly it is all these updates about revamping Moorland and the starter quests have really been about. I agree with you on Justin having too small of a role in the new intro quests - his abilities are going to come out of nowhere for new players, because they didn't have the foreshadowing of Justin matching you with your horse.
wait what.. wtf did i miss or forget cuz i do NOT remember him having abilities? or him matching us with our horse.. idk maybe thats js from before 2017 when i started or i just forgot a lot 😭
Im so confusedddd like why is Anne there, why do they all have their horses and why is Linda not trapped in the castle 😭😭

Why does Lisa have starshine already - They literally rewrote the entire intro and forgot the old lore I even remember when we had to get star rider in order to learn how to jump 😭

The new intro is so... weird when you're so used to the old intro from years ago - it's almost disturbing

Thank you for making a series like this. I'm honestly confused with the main story at the moment so following the new updated one will be helpful going forward once the story continues.
Ofc! I just really don't know how far SSE has really updated the quests, or if they even will continue to update them. I'm praying that we don't run into any plot holes and such, but knowing SSE we probably will. At the very least this series will be a good refresher to those of us who cannot remember anything that is happening in the story. :)

@cynnfraure yes I saw! Why exactly did you decide to play through everything with the Jorvik Warmblood? I'm curious and currently in the process of catching up haha
@Sam.springstar Our starter is supposed to be kind of like the "fifth" guardian lore wise, if you can even call them that. Catherine who was like us, even had her own [Lostrain], or whatever your starters name might be. Implying they're also reincarnated just like the 4 guardians. I love the Jorvik Warmblood and wanted to give my starter the love he deserves since even SSE is doing away with their "specialness" i guess in the story (for example any horse can enter pandoria now). I just wanted to stick as close to the story as possible which is also why I'm doing the quests in the order that I am. Trying to pace it how I imagine SSE intended it. I really like this question bc I just love the starter 🤣❤️❤️
@cynnfraure oh that's nice! I didn't even know SSE put their specialness down. I do all main story quests on my starter because I remember back in the day some required you to be on them hahah I love the way you pace these and the order you do it in it's a great watch. Out of curiosity, how will you go about some of the future bigger reputation blockers? (Sunfield farm, fishing, sun and lightning circle if those still exist)
@Sam.springstar Thank you! And yeah I always use the starter for that reason too. Last I played through, it still tells you to use your starter but I don't believe it is actually required to anymore. Now that is a phenomenal question I've been asking myself. Reputation quests like the ones you mentioned I'm not worried abt bc I'll do the dailies in passing and fit the actual quests in later as I get them. As for the Valedale Druid Paths, and Soulriding I've been trying to think of a good way to do those. Right now I'm thinking absolutely grind everyday and make each of them their own video or baby series which means they'll come in like my token ones do so like episode 3.5, or like I said own video where everything is included and my process, day counts and stuff. It's really the soul riding I'm nervous for because... I've never actually finished that before 😅 Do you have any expectations or ideas of how you'd like me to do those?
I've alwasy wanted to start over, but I have made it to a point in playing SSO that I don't want to drag my feet leveling up lol. Like thinking back to all the reputation quests to get the story going is the one thing that is keeping me from getting a new account lol.

Oh my gosh the fact that your name is Vendela in the game makes me happy cause that is my name in game. I have several backup accounts for my character haha I think if it isnt hurting anyone who really cares how many accounts you have. I personally have a big fear of getting hacked so hence my multiple accounts.

On the subject of what to do with those starcoins... (and I am at the beginning so if you mention this later, uhm. oops?? 😅 ) but technically in order to 100% the game you need a pony and an Icelandic to do those specific races. 😎
This has been stuck on my mind for a while now because I remembered those two races a while after I uploaded this video. So yes, I will have to save up my star coins for those silly ponies to get those races done. It's unfortunate, but I'll just use my magical powers and turn Lostrain into them, dw. XD XD
One question coming from an older player. Once you have reached moorland can you ever return to the jorvik riding camp? I assume not bc of a few reasons.
And i didn’t realise they removed the big jorvik lore paragraph!! What the.. but i guess the jorvik riding camp goes through that whole lore in a veryyy streamlined version i assume for younger kids who don’t wanna read that big paragraph. But it was so nostalgic and was the whole point of the mystery, especially with linda in the castle at the start of the game too. So sad the mystery is gone, partly why i quit 2 yrs ago and main quests taking ages to come out. I was always wondering what was missing, especially coming back to this game to play all the new main quests now, and it’s the mystery and the characters have definitely been written differently. They should have just made it a new game and risked people not wanting to move over to it
I agree. They definitely got rid of 90% of the nostalgia, especially taking away Justing giving you your first horse. You actually can go back to the Jorvik Riding Camp area but you can't do those starter quests as an older player.
I think the Quest with Alex and Linda changes depending on how much time you need for the Quests on the Paddock with Maya... Cause i did Not Speed through (picked yes by the question) and still got Linda sitting by the stables 🤔
I’m soooo confused when I started playing sso my first quest was to like help the moorland stable from that man who wanted to like get rid of it😭😭

One thing I really hate about the new intro quests is how rude the Soulriders are... like, they constantly tease you with 'oh teehee we're warrior priestesses who save the world' and then immediately go, 'oh you wouldn't understand, it's suuuuuuuper top secret', how condescending is that? I get what they were trying to do, but it's all over the place! At this point Loretta is nicer than them. I think it was better to introduce the Soulriders one at a time, Alex, Linda, Lisa, then Anne, build each other up, than just having them shoved into your face first thing. But I do like the dream thing, that's perfect as a way to introduce the storyline.

I like that you are honest and point out practical problems in the game. But why do you have so many accounts? Throwing more money at SSO won't make them change the problems...
I actually like this question, although you may not like my answer. I love this game and as it stands, I will continue to support it. SSO has many issues, just like literally any other game that ever existed. I don't believe in the whole boycotting trend thing that has been going on for a while. If someone truly enjoys the game for what it is, they should be allowed to support it if they want to. In my opinion, whether one supports the game or not isn't going to solve the problems it has. If someone doesn't want to because they believe it will make a difference, that's totally fine. I just personally still like the game for what it is after all these years, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Even if it did, I would simply stop playing and leave the community entirely. Not because I thought that would actually help but because I wouldn't like the game anymore so I just wouldn't play it anymore. I don't think we should criticize others for simply enjoying something we may not. My channel is for people who love this game and who are tired of the drama and negativity that has become so deeply rooted within the community as of late. That's where I stand at least, so of course I would want to create a space that reflects that and offers a breath of fresh air. I hope my answer made sense. Much love!!

So the riding camp island was added in November of 2023 so it’s a very new addition.
