This was Secret Society's summer car meet, which saw some un-summery weather, as well as a selection of widebody E46 BMWs. One of which was a genuine BMW E46 M3 CSL GTR race car! I also wondered around the show, capturing the amount of sticker showcases on display, as well as a few cars leaving the meet.

Day 3 of asking Adam if he would rather have a RB26 Toyota Chaser ( white ) or a 1jz Toyota Supra Mk. 4

In my opinion the 1jz sounds more original than 2jz than 2jz should sounds like a 2jz.. let that sink in.

Especially 4 cylinder engines. Some 6's and 8's sound ok, 10's and 12's pretty much always sound good.
Where I live people just get Ford Fiesta st’s and seem to put massive wings and splitters and a exhaust which sounds like a dog growling or a person growling
This video gives me the saying ‘one man’s trash is another man’s treasure’ vibe. Some cars to suit everyone, including my Nan with the standard panda with matching book on the dash 😅

hi adam im the son of the owner of the bmw gtr (one with grey hoodie) i believe when we had the car built it came from a belgium endurance car so that’s with the lhd nice meeting you always welcome to come to a race meeting with us

Alex called me about it a few weeks ago, and I helped out with the initial stages. But I am unable to make it unfortunately.
I love the way Adam resists the urge to laugh...or vomit at some of the most ridiculous creations...(not cars IMO) He never expresses his views either, well done chap. This proves that you cannot buy class.

It's the 'Fast and Furious' generation. You buy factory built stupidly powerful cars, chip them, buy off the shelf lowering/body kits, get them vinyl wrapped, have utterly w*nk graphics/scripts stuck on and then you hoon around your local town thinking that you are Paul Walker, which you surely will be sooner rather than later. Zero ingenuity, zero class, zero style. Some good builds there unfortunately swamped by cr*p.
I know what you mean about the scene in general, but the majority of the cars in this video do not fit that bill.

@@AdamC3046 I suppose that will depend on your perception and, more likely, the age group you belong to. What I see is some cleverly modified cars in a sea of 'so what? vehicles. I go to the odd car meet in my 3rd Generation Pontiac and sometimes wonder if I may have been just as well parking it at my local Tesco's and wandering around the car park. There used to be an old saying of 'built not bought' but that is a true dying thing now. Chipping a modern Cooper, adding a cold air intake, graphics and wheels, et al, just doesn't seem overly inventive to me but, hey, that is the way it has gone just as electric cars are trying to muscle out the internal combustion engine. Maybe I need to accept that it is what it is!

AFAIK, there were very few E46 gtr's made, and this isn't one of them. It's just a CSL with a bodykit. The true GTR's had a flatplane crank V8, not an inline 6.

it looks good on the right car besides something like that RS will crack and pop any ways because these modern engines put out stupid power for their size, the only way to do that is to up the compression ratio which is exactly what modern performance engines have.

Most race cars are LHD as the majority of the world drives on the right. Interesting though most race tracks are clockwise so infact a RHD car will give better weight biased as the driver will be closer to the apex.

Beautiful car though! Loving that incredible colour flip (purple to almost black?) paint, absolutely spot on stance, great wheels, superbly judged exhaust sound, basically EVERYTHING!

Has anyone ever modified a vectra/insignia tastefully? Every single modified one I see looks like a 5yr old has been let loose on it.

Such a shame as there was some nice motors there but the crap that surrounds them brings the over all quality of the show down so much.

Was at a show on Sunday. Same shit. Not really impressed by shit cars with giant turbos glued on. All pretty tacky. The only motors that i really liked were a red De Tomaso Pantera and an Aston Martin Zagato Shooting Brake. Both pretty rare.

um,yes there were a few,although I personally liked it but what your saying is true too,I think we can come to an agreement that overall it was not that bad but a couple of cars were sucky,thanks for not being harsh about my response! I love a good exhaust note but 5mins their would be enough for me. In my day all the modders got together and hit track days and used our cars. Not just sitting in a field having a 'rev battle' . Personal opinion,,,graphics should be left to 8 Yr old and rally cars,,just saying lol.

A Frankenstein Car is a motor fashioned from parts from multiple cars. Like the monster created by Mary Shelley. But I reckon we can add as a definition overly loud and garish modified cars with excessive bodywork styling and engine tuning. These were bog standard cars till some unemployed chav ram-raided Halfords. Nothing wrong with them. But now they are grotesque. Why do people think this is ok?

11:50 (exterior) , 12:25 (interior) , 12:37 (engine bay) - Rare (& sad!) to see an ex-race car looking sooOOO 'mint' & clean - I guess its now more polished, than driven . . . . shame ! ☹👎
It's not an EX race car, it races in the championship, it was on track at Alton Park a couple of months ago. So of course it isn't road legal or driven to the shops!

The car is driven constantly it’s one of my good friends cars , it’s in the kuhmos championship and it’s tracked at least monthly , he actually smashed it up back on February at donnington park when I was there
