Find the saffron bun recipe here:
What you need:
4 dl cream
100g butter
1 pack of saffron (around 0,5 g)
1 dl sugar
1/2 tsp salt
7 dl flour
3,5 tbsp baking powder
For garnish:
1 egg
1 tbsp suryp
A little bit of water
Sugar
Do like this:
Put the oven on 225 degrees celsius.
Add cream in a bowl. Melt the butter, mix in the saffron (preferably grinded). Add sugar and salt, mix!
Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Mix it all together with the butter mix.
Make it in to a dough!
Split the dough in to 15 pieces and roll each of them out in to a "roll", and then roll them like the shape I made.
Mix the egg with a fork, and add a little bit on every bun before going in to the oven. Put in the oven for about 10 minutes, they should get some color (but not too much!).
Take out and let them cool!
Mix the syrup and water, put it on the saffron buns and then roll them in sugar in a bowl.
ENJOY!!

A good rule of thumb in fluffing a Christmas tree is to take the 3 branches and bend 2 up/sideways and 1 up. 🎄
I think you guys were meant to open up the mini tree!! It makes it a lot bigger if you open up each branch out even further 🎄

I think you have to fluff out the branches first. That will hold the ornaments on and at the top you pull top branch up to hold star. But that is a very very nice tiny tree. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Om jäst, jag bor i Belgien & Södra Frankrike och det heter levure fraiche /levure de boulanger fraiche (fraiche = färsk) och det kanske inte finns i Monaco men hos oss ligger det oftast med färdiga pajdegar/kakdegar/croissant-deg på burk. ibland bredvid typ kyld grädde, ibland ganska nära typ färsk pasta :P kylt, men inte bredvid typ smör som det gör i Sverige. kan vara svårt att hitta men här finns det vanligtvis även i småbutiker. Paketen är oftast mindre än i Sverige så man kan behöva kolla på vikten om man följer recept. Puss och kram!
I see Leon is speaking some Finnish haha, he was reaching for things on the counter and he clearly said "anna" which means to give (give me) in Finnish 😁I love saffron buns, my grandma used to make them every year, but I never tried to make them myself.
You could make Leon some playdough that is natural ( edible) when you are cooking. I put my son in a high chair with it while I baked and he loved it ! They love the touch of it. 😁

Ok i hesitate to give you parenting advise cause you seem to be doing such a good job. However i will say when Leon screams like that you should not give him what he wants cause it is teaching him he only has to scream to get his way. Keep in mind i say this with all my love❤️. fyi i am a mom of 4 grown kids. Also those saffron buns look amazing 🤩

@@FranInTheBuilding as moms we are all just trying to do our best. No one intentionally sets out to raise bad kids. Haha. If you put the effort in when they are still very young and i mean very young like babies it is much easier to teach discipline. It also teaches you to develop habits on how to respond to things like tantrums. Cause tantrums are going to happen. I can recall one time walking through walmart with my 2 year old. He threw a fit cause i would not get him a buz light year toy. I very patiently took him out of the cart and left everything there and walked out of the store. I did not say a word until we were sitting in the car buckled up ready to leave. I told him i did not like it when he did that and if he wants a toy like buz light year he will have to do a big boy thing like start going pee in the potty for 1 month not cry in the middle of the store for everyone to hear. He muttered out an ok and we drove home. As soon as we were home he went to his room and took off his pull up diaper and put on his buz light year underwear i had already bought for him and from that day on he always went pee in the potty and 30 days later he had a buz light year toy. Oh this is also how i taught him to read a calendar. Haha.

Tantrums are the most stressful thing right infront of everyone. I have a lot of god children and they are all so so different depending on how much they have 'gotten away with' Thank you for sharing.

Why don't you like to use yeast?
I don't know about Janni but personally I find it easier to bake with baking powder and I tend to not make anything with yeast because it's such sciency process. Like the temperature needs to be high enough but not too high when raising the dough and if there's like a draft or something, the dough goes down.
Mr. Leon several times points to the camera and does the clicking sound Janni makes during her videos...Leon will help you cook soon..he is very intense watching your steps..he has a lot of focus...mostly little children at that age look like they are traveling with the 'Short Attention Span Theatre troupe" :)
