Rebecca Sugar's advice on being an artist

Question asked: "Any advice for a young aspiring artist who has part autism? It's been a very hard journey for me and I want to finally fulfill my animation dreams."
Rebecca's Answer: "My advice would be to just make stuff right away as soon as possible. The moment that you're making art, you're no longer an aspiring artist, you're just an artist! So do it, make it, right now!"
Rebecca Sugar is incredibly inspiring to me, she is someone I look up to so much in my life and in art. Hearing her say this is very motivating.

My advice would be to make something with great potential. And keep your creation’s story or stories CONSISTENT and your character(s) tolerable at the very least. And to put as much thought💭and effort into what you’re making and pull from certain things if you have to, in order of making your own little swirly ice🧊cream🍦sundae of an original, beautiful, tolerable, consistent storyline. Don’t rush your work and just tell your story with great care.
