I received my Portal on the 17th and I've been playing more games on it than I ever did with the PS5 connected to my TV. I have experienced no input delay at all in any game I've tried on it. Yet there's so many people hellbent on wishing for this device to fail. A few TH-camr reviewers had poorly-configured routers or didn't turn off their TV, so there's now a lot of people who think that the Portal has too much input delay. Suddenly a lot of people have come out of the woodwork to praise the Wii U's 480p gamepad, which had very limited range, even though it has similar latency to the Portal running at 1080p.
Dude, I’ve been watching your video since you did the live stream doing the descenders neon bike. I’ve been watching your videos since I was about four and I’m 11 now.
What’s up Sam I’m a long time fan just coming back I’ve been a fan cents the steep days. Glad so see you, and your dogs are well. I’m happy your still goofy. I hope you know that your bmg drive leisence plate inspired my gamer tag. Have a good one man
For a gaming experience, the PlayStation portal or steam deck is the way to go for a handheld device. If you want fun games to play with family, I’d say Nintendo switch. Every handheld console is great in its own way, I honestly really enjoyed the PlayStation portal
So, to use this with wireless earbuds I have to spend a total of $400? I can get a Steam Deck for less than that and use my existing wireless buds, plus I can use Playstation remote play, stream Xbox games and play my Steam library.
My biggest concern is if a joystick breaks or part of the controller do you need to replace the whole thing? Nintendo switch made it interesting but the joy cons can be replaced separately
@@davidfrate9469I think you're worrying too much about theoretical hardware failure. I still have a launch date PS5 controller that has no issues. Buy a warranty if you're concerned.
@@mmstick well then I have faith in their products. I still have Xbox 360 controllers and systems I was just saying ya know. Once we have it friend me and we will play
@@mmsticktheoretical hardware failure? There have been lawsuits against Nintendo and brought up about Sony and Microsoft about frequent stick drift in controllers. It doesn't happen to everyone, but it is definitely not a theoretical problem.
zero negatives are always a red flag Sam. Maybe next time to make the shill more believable, at least add in a couple negatives. Yes, this is $200, but boy are there a shit ton of drawbacks for the price. If you own a playstation, this is okay, but if you don't, you won't be able to use it. The battery life is abysmal as well and setup is tedious. Just save yourself time and buy a real portable device like the steam deck.
How is the battery life abysmal? I get around 6 hours out of my Portal. The Steam Deck has a 2-3 hour battery life, none of the DualSense haptic feedback and trigger features, and no PlayStation remote play support. Third party remote play applications like Chiaki also do a very poor job at mapping analog sticks, so they're very imprecise compared to the official PlayStation App with a DualSense controller.
@@mmstickas a steam deck owner i have to correct you. Playing a AAA game sucks the battery out of the steam deck in a little more than an hour. So 1080p 60fps for 4-6 hours is luxery. Especially when my wife and daughter almost always use the tv at night. It wont be awailable in my country untill next week but im definitly going to get this. I love my steam deck. But having to play longer session plugged into an outlet or to a powerbank takes a little from the handheld experience. So now it is usually being used for retro games. Can't wait for the portal.
sam never disappoints AND PLEASE DO MORE DESCENDERS
YES PLEEEEAS

Which Nintendo stole from the PlayStation Portable released in 2005.
