I have seen them countless times. It IS religion for the soul. Taking my 19 year old daughter for her 2nd Tool concert in January. She is more excited than me and that's just not humanly possible. lol
I took my 14 year old with me as well. He is a died hard Tool fan. We saw them at Power Trip as well. We also saw them in 2019 when he was 11. We have that video posted as well. That one went viral. Enjoy the show!
I was at this show. My first Tool experience. Sat in the higher seats and it was awesome to be able to take in all the visuals. Been a fan since AEnima and my only regret is that it took me this long to see the, live.
I first saw them in 96 at the Salem Armory in Salem Oregon. Small 2,500 venue. I agree with you regarding the Sphere. First band I thought of when I saw the Sphere when I was down there before it opened.
@@liftedgifted6010 nice! i think this i show number 8 or 9 for me... but then again i first discovered them in '93 as a senior in HS! they truly are the best in the business, hands down
For the effect of the show I would have been recording the screen so you could see the whole show. I chose not to record and I couldn’t hardly see the stage with all the damn phones in the way, so I’m personally glad they don’t allow phones!
@Testibus00 I saw them in 2020 ( it was the last day before the pandemic shut down) this show was above and beyond better, sound, lights, stage, everything, I had a great time. Idk what was up w their last show.
I missed them in 2017 at Governors island. Still kicking myself over that one. The tickets prices for all major acts are insane. 300 for 100 level. Not floor but 100 level. Crazy.
I was at this show, the Portland show and the one in 2020 you mentioned (right before the world shut down) and one thing I did enjoy more in ‘20 was that enormous string curtain they played behind and raised during the third song. I thought that was stunning stage design.

Has anyone actually *seen* one of those Undertow cd box sets? They didn’t have it at the merch tables for this show and I haven’t seen it anywhere else.
I saw it at the merch table at the Rochester, NY show on 11/6. It's very similar to the Opiate box set that came out years ago. The "case" looks and feels like it is made out of construction paper.
Not certain, but I was wondering the same thing. They had mics up all around as well that the camera man was adjusting and checking on at intermission.
I love how emotionless (well, sometimes) Adam appears when he's playing guitar in front of thousands of people. It takes a lot of self-control to pull that off, but then, he's had the practice
Was at their Halloween show and they let us film Swamp Song. My 17 year olds went crazy. I wish it had been this song 😅. Can't complain too much though - I'd already seen them twice 😉
I was at this show. Maynard said we could pull out our phones and record the last song but to keep the lights on the camera off. That’s why he called the person with their light on a dumb-dumb.
Ahhh he has been scared since I almost pulled him into the pit Roseland Ballroom 96 when he came to stage edge…..it was a crazy show and back in the day when it was real…. Next tour he was up top.
I just noticed Adam got most of his hair cut off. It was almost to his elbows when we saw them in Louisville at Louder than Life back on September 22nd. That will give him time to grow it back before we see them again in Nashville on January 23rd. CAN’T WAIT!!!
@@ryancampbell5039 the same could be said for bands that actually have a stage presence. They have none whatsoever. typical maynard fanboy reply. I get it, they can do no wrong.

Awesome video. First saw TOOL in 1992 at the Mason Jar in Phoenix and I was hooked. Can't wait for them to hopefully play at the Sphere in Vegas.
I first saw them in 96 at the Salem Armory in Salem Oregon. Small 2,500 venue. I agree with you regarding the Sphere. First band I thought of when I saw the Sphere when I was down there before it opened.
I saw them in Raleigh 92... Wow...way back.
Introducing my grandkids now. My son is hooked.
Saw them at Moda in Portland a couple days after this. My first tool show. Absolutely incredible.
Pneuma live rocked my soul.
The incredible things Adam and Justin do with just volume swells…
Right??
Great audio quality! Hand held devices have come a long way since Lewiston, Maine 1998😂. Thought it was the whole show but I enjoyed it. Thank you
Still a great show to watch! I seen them about a month after that in OKC. Still my favorite Tool show I’ve seen live
That V looks so good with the offset split headstock and jack on the upper fin! WTF so sick!

Looks amazing! I have the same phone but was in the 8th row in Spokane….definitely not the same quality as your 2nd row video.
How did ur ears feel after the show lol? Saw em twice in alberta 14 row… unreal fucking sound
They were louder at Power Trip than Eugene. At Power Trip you could feel the bass in chest pretty hard. I was close there as well.
Adam Jones never makes mistakes, he plays perfect , seen him many times !
Cannot wait till January!! They sound insanely good and it’s awesome seeing MJK at eye level, engaged and being his usual charming self.
Same here. Got tix January charlotte nc. Cant fucking wait
Maynard sounds gooooood
Can't wait to see them live in February in Dallas!!!. Will be the 5th time. I keep begging for more!!!
Timeless art.
Absolutely amazing show. Descending and culling voices were actually magical
Best live band ever… production is out of this fucking world.. soo loud and pure
Outstanding. Thank you for sharing.
Maynard’s 59 and sounds fuckin great.
Very very great live tool concert, I lovid ❤🤘

Yes, I saw one at this show. A guy had purchased it and opened it at a table where people could see it
I saw it at the merch table at the Rochester, NY show on 11/6. It's very similar to the Opiate box set that came out years ago. The "case" looks and feels like it is made out of construction paper.
Are they finally doing a proshoot? There's camera crews operating.
Not certain, but I was wondering the same thing. They had mics up all around as well that the camera man was adjusting and checking on at intermission.
They did that in Reno 20 years ago.
They do this at every show

To think the very next song everyone would hear was Abba's Dancing Queen. This was a great concert.

Swamp song is me of my favorites. I first saw them play that in 96. I recorded that one from the Power Trip show.
Same. Was there also!
I thought you weren't allowed to videotape/ no cell phones, did something change?
They allow the last song to be recorded.
Don't know how you didn't get kicked out and banned. There's a zero tolerance for recording and have heard of a few peeps getting banned.
You’re allowed to record the last song. They make an announcement at the show when you can.
I was at this show. Maynard said we could pull out our phones and record the last song but to keep the lights on the camera off. That’s why he called the person with their light on a dumb-dumb.
Could Adam jones possibly look more bored when he plays?
He's not bored. He's absolutely disciplined when playing these songs.
@erikd131weaver7 that's 100 percent correct
I’d love for Maynard to be front and center like back in the 90s. Anyone else find it not as great without him up front?
I love how he's a piece if the band and letting them shine. It's actually a fascinating paradigm.
I think he looks badass when he’s backlit up there.
Ahhh he has been scared since I almost pulled him into the pit Roseland Ballroom 96 when he came to stage edge…..it was a crazy show and back in the day when it was real…. Next tour he was up top.
I really think it's really cool that he lets everybody else have the spotlight. It's a total "Maynard" thing to do.
I was here, also recorded this, but my recordings from the nose bleeds.
Where's Justin?
The angle was terrible to the include him. Plus there was a guy kind of in the way. Had the same issue at Power Trip.
Guess if you've seen them 29 years. Its pretty much the same thing.
It was a great show but come on....they didn't play the sings I've loved since high school like Undertow. Anemia. This is the only onefrom that era
I don't think Maynard is capable of a lot of the harsher vocals these days.
You should probably send a harshly worded email letting them know, maybe next time they’ll play what YOU want😢
