- Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new Bowie knife restoration video. I found this, a huge knife, at a flea market. The steel of the knife is good! And I bought it. Well, let's start restoration.

As usual, to remove rust from the knife, I used rust remover liquid. Then washed, dried and oiled it. After I clean the surface and correct the cutting edge. Also, I sharpened the knife again. On the surface of the knife on both sides I etched interesting drawings. And after that, I etched the entire blade so that it would not rust.
I chose wood and brass rivets for the blade handle. Also, I made a leather scabbard for the Bowie knife. And as usual, I made a test of knife for you. I hope, You will enjoy this knife restoration video.
Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

The cat on your curtain is my spirit animal.
I live less than 20 miles (or 35 kilometers) from where the first Bowie knife was made, and my father used to be maintenance supervisor over the blacksmithy there. I think James Black, the smith who made the knife for Bowie, would approve of your end result. That heavy, broad blade is much closer to what he made than the lighter blades commonly seen today.
Thank you for information and little story! Stay safe ^_^
SWEET BOWIE!!! 👍🏻
Wow what a huge blade!! That is a real mans knife!!! Mountain Man!
What can I say but......WOW!
Holy crap 😳! That knife is freaking huge!
...now that's a knife...lol...good one, keep well...
With a knife like that you won’t even need any of your hatchets anymore. I can truly say I have never seen a knife with such a weight, wow! Also you should really get a sewing awl and save your hands and fingers from the pain involved with sewing leather, it’s a priceless tool even though they are cheap.
The weight of this knife alone makes it a formidable weapon! Excellent restoration, as always! Thank you for the video! ☺
Thank you!
😎cool!!👍✨
😁informative!!👍👍✨
"Разве это нож? Вот это - нож."
Аааа, так это для того чтобы мыть задницу )))

"It was too big to be called a *Knife*. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron" (Guts/Berzerk - The Dragon Slayer Sword).
Nice heavy duty "knife". =)
What a fantastic restoration on this Bowie knife. Great job on the handle and sheath they came out amazing. Thanks for sharing.

super!
excelente trabalho! 👏👏👏👏
Perfect
That is a serious handful of steel. The axe that thought it was a knife. You should get a set of leather stamp dies so you can decorate the sheath. Could put matching designs on blade and sheath. Looks great.
As allways, very good video, still I miss the cross guard
beautiful restoration mister
I questioned its uses at first but if look like a well functioning tool

Sempre um excelente trabalho. Parabéns camarada 👏👏🇧🇷
Great job!!
Ótimo Serviço Campeão..
lindo trabalho

Thank you!
Congratulations 0n 100K subscribers!!!!! I love this knife, another Awesome Job!!! The proportions of this knife are so big it looks like it's from a video game!
Thank you so much!!
Very nice job 👍
awesome as always! i saw this knife over on your cooking channel first! cool to see a preview.
That's a noife! 😁
Awesome another great job done it looks really lovely. And enjoy watching you. Enjoy your meal.
Thank you!)

Love the cook
Thank you so much! ^_^
good work on the restoration, etching is cool, personally I would have made the blade narrower and lighter as it is heavier than most swords are
