Hey Travis, these are some great videos! ...... I just bought my first Kirby, the Avalir, and I really appreciate watching your instructions on it. After seeing you disable and reassemble this previous model, I had to leave you a comment. I'm hoping the Avalir is about the same as the Sentria 2, just in case I ever need to work on it. I'll keep an eye any new videos you post because they are excellent brother! Thanks, Robert
I'm in the process of taking my Sentria apart because the power switch is broken, but I can't find where on the shaft the 9mm wrench is supposed to catch. I almost have it completely apart, the only thing left is the motor. Any suggestions you might have? Thanks!
@@Big_Frizzle ah ha. Yep that makes sense. I should have a video on how to out it back together. I made those videos many years ago with a low quality camera so I apologise for the lighting.
@@MyWhiteWhale No problem, I finally found the drive to really tear it apart and your video helped a lot. Thanks for the videos, now I gotta order a new power switch and figure out how to get it all together. Lol
The best details about the disassembly process I've seen. Great job, thanks.
Thanks. I am glad it helps.
Thank you! Exactly what I needed to get my vacuum open so I could replace the fan!
I am glad it helped you.
The last part is called a fan volute deflector. Nice easy video.

Just saved me a fortune thanks
Thank for posting/making this!!
You're welcome.
This is a great video. Thank you
Great guide, although I think I'll have a panic attack when it's time to put it back together.
This vid was extremely helpful.!
Excellent video.
You're welcome. Save the video for future reference.
Do you have a video on how to disassemble and reassemble the tech drive on a Sentria?
Best thing is to replace the whole tech drive.

Nevermind, it turned out I was using a 10mm, not a 9. So I thought the shaft was smooth.
You must spin the shaft until the wrench drops in. Trust me it will go.
Its tricky feeding it down through there but it will go. If you can't get it, let me know and I'll try to post a clear picture.

Does anyone know if we need to reapply a certain type of gasket sealer before reassembling?
Thank you!
