Love the selections, the Rams tried to trade up 2 years ago into the first round to get dalton kincaid and last year up to get bowers so i wouldn’t be surprised if they get warren or loveland if either are available regardless of the immediate need at corner or offensive tackle. Great analysis!
Appreciate the great feedback, thanks so much for dropping by! Yea I like Higbee and Davis Allen but could see then take one of the top tight ends early for sure.
First, thank you doing this mock for the Rams. It's nice to see someone do it who actually has some knowledge of the team. I will start by talking about OT and TE. If you recall, when McVay took over in 2017, they drafted Gerald Everette early on. And recently we have learned that the Rams were in talks to trade up for Dalton Kincaid in '23 and also for Bowers in '24. So, this tells us that McVay is looking a dynamic player at the position. So, I will not be betting on any of the mid-level TE's in this class. IMO, McVay is going to really fall in love with Harold Fanin from Bowling Green. LIke you, I think OT is a priority and the pick you made would be optimum for the Rams. Next, WR Bech from TCU fits the mold perfectly of a Kupp, Nacua type Rams receiver. He has height and solid build to handle the dirty work in the running game and is good with the ball in his hands. The other 2 I like are Jayden Higgins from Iowa St and Andrew Armstrong from Arkansas. Both are highly graded receivers and are competent blockers. ILB: Stuntsman is a good player, but I think Chris Paul Jr (Ole Miss) would be a better fit for the Rams. He is very good in coverage to offset Speights lack of awareness in pass coverage. He also brings much needed speed and athleticism to the position. QB: I think Kurtis Rourke or Kyle McCord make the most sense for the Rams in the Third Round. I was very high on Rourke. But, his performance in the CFP left me wanting more. On the other hand, McCord seems to be almost as accurate but is more mobile in the Pocket. Doesn't hurt that he broke the ACC record for most passing yards in a season. I hope you can do another one for us after we get into Free agency Cheers!
Well said my friend, I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by, watch, and give feedback. I LOVE Fanin as a field stretching playmaking tight end, and with Stafford not getting any younger you'd think they have to consider protecting him better before getting another weapon but you never know with McVay lol. I was surprised that they moved on from Ernest Jones because he had the speed they needed which almost feels like a big reason why I looked at Stutsman (though not a comp at all) but I know they like some of the pieces they have, it feels like there needs to be more there in the middle of that defense. And with wideouts, it feels like they have a way of finding those late-round gems, almost like the Steelers used to for all those years.
Rams biggest need in order: 1. CB 2. WR- deep threat 3. OL Take CB in first, biggest need, makes biggest difference, plays from day one, and we don’t pick until the third after that
The Rams have 3 young edges who have as much potential as any 3 in the league. They also have 3 more that have potential (2nd year edge Nic Hampton ruled the preseason) that can't get on the field. That is a position they don't need to draft in any round.
I really like this draft, your premium picks are the exact position picks I would select, and I like the players.....nice work. I would guess you are a Rams fan too. Rams should take a OT with their first pick if the player lines up. I think we would be lucky to get OT Josh Simmons.
Thanks so much for the feedback! Brad is a lions fan from way back but Stafford being there has caused him to keep an eye on them! The nice thing is they should have plenty of offensive lineman available when they pick.
I like Warren in the first round, he’s an actual threat in the passing game , block … I know Mcvay wanted Bowers in the first round last year, Just didn’t fall far enough. I like Stutzman … then a deep threat in our passing game I like Gabriel… I think he is a lot like Bo Nix, undersized but has started a lot of games., I like your draft selections…
@ You actually did a good job prioritizing what we need , I know we need a right tackle.. Haverstein is getting g older and been injury prone. McClendon I think could fill the role but needs to be worked up a Lil more… Noteboom needs to Go I know he’s versatile, can play guard and tackle on both sides but he is a liability… my biggest issue would probably be me Inside LB… but Speights and Rozeboom have been actually playing well… But Stutzman would be a nice edition.
As a Rams fan I like t b is mock. Simmons and Porter are two guys I've mocked to them. One could hope they draft a linebacker that early but it's just not a position they value
@TheDraftCountdown I was thinking in round 3 if they start a run on WR's. I'm seeing bubble screens, short yardage from the wildcat formation, jet sweeps, and fade routes in the end zone on shorter CB's.
They need Cambell ILb from Alabama with there first pick. They need an athletic ILb that can run cover and is violent. No more Rozebloom. Please no more.
Not Dillon Gabriel from Oregon, from a headline I read, he thinks football should be played in perfect weather like baseball. No rain, and no snow. He sounds like a blue state player and sounds like he should be playing baseball were the game is always played in the sun. Wuss.
Great video, first person I see make a mock draft for the rams🤟🏾
Thanks, appreciate the kind words and for stopping by!
That was a solid draft for the Rams. Good job buddy.
Appreciate the feedback, anything you'd do differently?
I think it was a perfect draft but I would switch round 1 and 2 meaning taking Morrison round 1 and a oline round 2 but great draft

Thank you finally someone who knows football did the Rams justice in a mock draft
That's really nice of you, appreciate you stopping by and giving feedback! Would you change any of the picks/players?
Great video! Love the draft content
Thanks so much for stopping by, appreciate it!
Love it!
Thanks for checking it out!

ehh byron young & verse yeah, not sure who the third is though
Appreciate the comment! Who or what position would you rather target? Thanks for dropping by!

i think the rams will grab Dart at 85 but other than that i love this mock man
Appreciate the feedback, who would you take instead there?
I’d grab Ot, Lb, cb , maybe Wr I’d also wouldn’t be afraid to trade and look at FA if I felt like i got 2 or 3 decent pieces out of draft
Love it! Any players in the draft or free agency you want them to target?
Limber was a major reason why the rams lost yesterday. They need to get a veteran center. Enough of low drags picks starting. Not good enough.
Limmer is a Rookie, big picture he's a great center and will only get better
I like Warren in the first round, he’s an actual threat in the passing game , block … I know Mcvay wanted Bowers in the first round last year, Just didn’t fall far enough. I like Stutzman … then a deep threat in our passing game I like Gabriel… I think he is a lot like Bo Nix, undersized but has started a lot of games., I like your draft selections…
Thanks Gerald! Are there any players/positions we didn't target that you'd like to see them go after in the draft or free agency?
@ You actually did a good job prioritizing what we need , I know we need a right tackle.. Haverstein is getting g older and been injury prone. Trade rounds 1, round 3, round 4, and round 5 to move up and get Travis Hunter?
OL, LB and CB are definitely the biggest needs
Appreciate the comment and thanks for stopping by! We're there any players you'd like them to target?
As a Rams fan I like t b is mock. Simmons and Porter are two guys I've mocked to them. One could hope they draft a linebacker that early but it's just not a position they value
Appreciate the feedback, yea I wish they did value LB more! Any players you'd want them to target specifically?
Rams should draft Benjamin morrison he is a elite lockdown DB
Love him, would be a huge help for them!
Rams will take a WR 1st 3 picks too.
Tyler Warren 1st Round!!!
Lol somewhere Davis Allen's shedding a tear!
Savion Williams TCU
He's an interesting really athletic wideout that needs to develop his route tree but where are you drafting him at for the rams?
@TheDraftCountdown I was thinking in round 3 if they start a run on WR's. I'm seeing bubble screens, short yardage from the wildcat formation, jet sweeps, and fade routes in the end zone on shorter CB's.
If Tyler Warren is there (which he wont be) NO WAY RAMS PASS HIM UP!
I like Dart and Carson Beck way more than the Oregon QB
Would you be willing to take one of them in a higher round? We waited and that's who was there.
They need Cambell ILb from Alabama with there first pick. They need an athletic ILb that can run cover and is violent. No more Rozebloom. Please no more.
McVay has never drafted an OL in first round
Move up and get Burden
I'm sure Stafford would be alright with another wideout, thanks for stopping by!
Not taking any qb lol
They need to get rid of Rozebloom he is awful. One of the worst ILb in the league by far. They need a run stuffer who is huge. They need a star Cb
Not Dillon Gabriel from Oregon, from a headline I read, he thinks football should be played in perfect weather like baseball. No rain, and no snow. He sounds like a blue state player and sounds like he should be playing baseball were the game is always played in the sun. Wuss.
where*
Thanks for the comment, is there a player or position you'd rather at that pick then?
@@TheDraftCountdown after watching Gabriel play, he lacks the high end arm strength that works with a McVay offense. Rourke would have been better
Shaddap, clown 🤡🐽
