Texas fan here. Cameron Williams is one of the most penalized players in the nation. We already have such a discipline problem with penalties. If Kelvin is there at 18, he’s a seahawk
Love the feedback, yea most would love Banks here more than Williams and I can't argue that. Love Banks as well! Thanks for stopping by! Any other players/positions you'd want the hawks to target?
@TheDraftCountdown I think it depends on what they want to do with Cross, Lucas, and to some extent, Riq and K9. Since they are rookies, 2nd contracts for any of them will immediately add to the payroll. Also, if they plan on signing FA left guard, they will need to offset by cuts or Geno/Dk restructure.
You should at least look at QB's after rd 2. but you went LB and we didn't need that. We need IOL, WR, EDGE, QB, OG, OG, CB/DT. However I would have traded out of the first and built draft capital and get a 1st rder for next yr and a second rd this yr
Love that take, appreciate the comment! Yea I know Geno's with the team through next year, and hopefully they could be in the running for one of the QBs in the 26' draft. Are there any players you'd rather them target in this draft?
@@TheDraftCountdownI’d love Dart or Milroe. I know people aren’t fans of Milroe but he could sit the year learning behind Geno if he is still there but that athleticism is dangerous in the league could be a Lamar type since I believe he has better arm talent than lamar
Yeah... the moment Ashton Jeanty is on that board and that fact he additionally passes on Tyler Booker at 18 , I knew this guy knows absolutely dog shit about Seattle's needs. Then he continues to piss down his leg taking a WR at 50, instead of taking Savaiinaea.
You do understand we are financially compelled to relinquish Lockett and DK, don't you? The simple economics of their salaries vs cap space dictate it. Is it your contention that JSN and Bobo will be our WR1, 2?!? I get that JSN had a gangbuster year, but imagine what opposing defenses would do if faced with no deep threats...they would just post up their safeties and corners all day long and have 11 rushing Geno every snap! Talk about canine excremental cognition!
Appreciate the colorful feedback, not sure why Jeanty would be the pick when you have some very good backs already? It does appear that folks definitely don't like Williams but it appears that I seem to be close on what people think their needs are, other than most expect some cap cuts at Edge rusher, so that will become a need I will address earlier.
Can't see the Hawks not taking a LB in back to back drafts. They really need to develop the position and not take flyers on guys who haven't panned out. That being said they also need to make resigning EJ IV a priority.
Yea I like what they have built, so I went back and forth as I was building my list of needs for them. There are a couple mid round linebackers I think could fit nicely in their defense but just not sure it's a high enough priority to warrant a pick. Appreciate the feedback!
Great stuff man, I’d think booker would be a better pick just because we have Abe back now, and that interior is terrible on the hawks, I’d love to hear your reasoning for the pick! Great stuff man
Yea for me I tried to look at a lineman that could be used inside or outside, as either a starter on the inside or someone to develop for the outside potentially. Banks if I take him he's a tackle, I don't want to waste that talent inside but I like him a lot. It's a tough call because if you want a pure iOL, Booker is probably the pick there, if you want Tackle then go Banks, Williams felt like that middle ground.
With his explosiveness, I could see a team use him in either role but being 6'3'' and probably 315 ish I'd think he's leaning more towards nose tackle. Thanks for stopping by!
Lots of great analysis and I agree on our need for a WR, but I feel we have bigger needs at positions where there is talent such as at edge (Dre and chenna could be cap casualties )or NT. I would prefer to take a WR later given our lack of physicality in the trenches
Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it! Yea I see a lot of folks commenting that Dre and Chenna could be cap cuts, and if so then Edge becomes a much higher need. My next Seahawks mock Im going to use these as a basis for selecting so I'd presume edge is a target much earlier!
They're never getting to the super bowl with Geno. The offensive line is made to look worse, by Geno taking a day and a half to read the defense, and get the ball out, preferably to a Seahawk, or at least get rid of it, and not take all those sacks.
Yea Geno definitely can get you to the playoffs but we've not seen anything that tells us he's winning it all for you. He's with the team at least through this season, and my thought would be if he's not looking like the guy you ride it out and hope you land an early pick in the 26 class to get a player like Arch, or one of these QBs that project to be a better class than the 25 is.
What would you rather target there in the 2nd? Do you think they can sustain with what they have if Locketts gone and DK may not be around more than a year? Appreciate you stopping by!
Why on earth would we waste a pick on that. Hold out with geno for one more year and pick from a MUCH better qb class the next draft. We need to address the O-line no qb can play behind that.
Will Howard in the 3rd/4th, maybe but I don't want to target him any earlier. He's going to need time, I still think Geno or getting a Vet QB would give them a better chance if they think they are a playoff team next year.

Banks is great, if I draft him its to start as a tackle, really don't want to waste that talent inside, which made me lean another way but you are correct Banks is really nice prospect.
The more starting and depth positions that Seattle can fill with draft picks, the better. Because they are usually a lot cheaper. This opens up room for impact free agents. But the Seahawks really need to land paydirt with the free agents they do sign since they already don't have much cap to work with, even if Lockett is cut. I think Seattle needs Ernest Jones resigned. That cannot be filled immediately with a draft pick. I think if Seattle wants two immediate starters in the draft, they could do it at both guards with Taylor Booker round 1 and Tate Ratledge round 2. That leaves the possibility of a solid free agent center or right tackle in FA. Seattle can probably find a replacement for Lockett as the #3 receiver in round 3. I like Jalen Royals or Tez Johnson. 4th and 5th round should look for a developmental quarterback and a backup tight end. AJ Barner I think can start, allowing the Seahawks to cut Noah Fant and free up another 9 mil. Mason Taylor or Oronde Gadsden could be available here for a backup. Will Howard or Jaxson Dart should be good quarterback prospects who could be backup to Geno Smith next year. Late round picks should be best player available. But I think David Bailey at linebacker would be good depth and allow us to let Nwosu or Dremont Jones go, saving another 10 mil. Rod Moore at safety would also allow us to let Rayshawn Jenkins go and save 6 mil. Jarran Reed and Jonathan Hankins could be resigned. We could maybe improve or go younger if we free up enough cap.
Love the feedback, thank you! Yea I've seen a lot of comments about certain cap casualties (chenna, Dre, obviously Lockett as well), that really will determine what they can or can't do in FA. @ I want to trade back in the first round and take that IOL from Bama, Booker I think is his name. I’d like an edge rusher 2nd round, maybe OSU’s Sawyer. Third round I’d appreciate a tackle and maybe another third rounder from the trade I mentioned earlier. With that one I’d like Jaxson Dart to develop behind Geno until his contract expires. Wouldn’t mind a backer 4th round, receiver 5th, TE 6th, and two seven rounders, one being from a trade. If we can’t trade back, I’ll take an edge in the 1st round, ideally Williams from Georgia, IOL 2nd, OT 3rd, if Dart somehow slips to the 4th we take him there. If not, an inside linebacker 4th, receiver 5th, TE 6th, and so forth and so on.
If you can get high 1, it might be time to trade DK. The guy takes stupid penalties and for his size, doesn't seem to come up with the big ball when needed
It's tough because the wrs that have been traded recently are either older or not as talented so can the hawks get a 1 for him? that's a good question, so you'd say he isn't worth a big contract to keep around?
Lockett wont be back on his current contract, probably not at all. We need a field stretching WR opposite of DK, because DK commands so much attention and JSN killing it in the middle, could open up some things. But we definitely need to come away with a couple OL in terms of FA/Draft. There are some decent names in FA, Zeitler would be great, Mecki would be interesting at G for us. Hopefully Bradford and Haynes develop even more, but we cannot rely on that. Definitely want to come away with 2 OL in the draft regardless on FA. Josh Jobe is our WR3, and has played a lot better than Tre Brown has, Tre is not coming back, this last year was horrendous for him. Could see us going CB or S in the day 2. I just did a free PFF mock sim and went Mykel WIlliams, Tyler Booker, and ended it with Tate Ratledge, from that point you can do basically anything. a healthy offseason for Lucas, and Cross being Cross makes me ok with our tackles, and George Fant should be back as a depth piece. Olu played fine at C, so its not the most pressing need.
Great feedback, appreciate you stopping by. Yea my thoughts on the needs were two interior o lineman and a tackle that either can push for playing time early or be there in case of injury for a year or two. I think FA would be a great place to grab one, really didn't love the idea of drafting 3 but for the sake of the mock and not have FA done, that was my direction ultimately.
You’re mentally slow if you think wasting a pick on a qb in this horrid qb draft class would is what the hawks need to do. If geno went in this draft class he’d be first overall.
I left QB out because McDonald made it seem pretty clear that Geno was his guy, and Howell waiting in the wings made me think they wouldn't target one.
It's tough, Geno can get them to the playoffs but I've seen plenty of comments that Seahawks fans aren't happy with him, I'm with you this draft really doesn't have a replacement unless you can get Cam Ward and he still needs some time to develop. Either way if you move on from Geno, its a step back for them.
I like most of your picks but I would definitely go OL 1st and 2nd round. WR’s are a dime a dozen these days but the entire NFL is desperate for good OL the Hawks being a prime example
Trade DK, overpriced and doesn't do anything a top WR does, not great hands, not great contested, doesn't get open, not a great blocker and he is a headcase

They designate Tyler, Uchenna and Dre'mont as post June 1 cuts, that saves approx. 50m. They can do something with DK and Geno to get more cap space.
I love it, do you see that as something they would do?
@TheDraftCountdown I think it depends on what they want to do with Cross, Lucas, and to some extent, Riq and K9.
I think Locket retires straight to the ring of honor and runs his real estate business.
Holy shit that would be a disappointing draft if that's the way it turned out
lol thanks for the feedback, are those positions at least ones you'd be targeting? are there any players you'd want them too look at instead?
Jesus goofball they need a quarterback.jaxon dart
You’re mentally slow if you think wasting a pick on a qb in this horrid qb draft class would is what the hawks need to do. If geno went in this draft class he’d be first overall.
😂
Appreciate the feedback, are there any specific players you'd look to target?
Chase Young, 3 teams 1 contract. He is overrated and not great
Yea he hasn't panned out as expected but I think teams are still interested, I think the draft has better options if Edge is the need.
Trade DK, overpriced and doesn't do anything a top WR does, not great hands, not great contested, doesn't get open, not a great blocker and he is a headcase
I agree trade him if you can get a one.
You are fucking tripping @@Mr05Chuck
Dk adds depth to the roster and a threat.
Casual garbage take there
Garbage ass take
