    I've said it before - Thank You for keeping the natural sounds in your videos. I much prefer to listen to the engine noise, the creaks and groans and tire squeaks, and the small talk rather than any music. Your videos are like being there watching you vs watching a mini movie production.

    Melodic sounds to sooth the viewer as you go about your "recovery"? No, you are unique with offering "reality" squeaks, bumps & engine purr as you course along - particularly on the retreat back to the shop. Interesting and informative, thanks for the professional insight & show. And Mother Nature, thanks for not pouring on the parade.

    Thanks for explaining about the Rockwell axel. Your recovery videos are excellent. I’m amazed at the number of recoveries and the difficulty with the terrain. It kind of funny all the time and money people spend on their new and old vehicles to explore these areas and then need to be rescued. The truly funny part is that your truck not only has to be able to make it to the recovery point, but also has to have the balls to tow the broken vehicle out while inflicting minimal damage to the other vehicle and the environment. Excellent job

    • @paytonruss55
      @paytonruss55 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@sam_s_ Main reason is because he prefers a manual over auto the others is because of gearing and torque because in that particular manual it suited better for towing. So in brief - he can feel through his feet and the rest of trail mater what the load needs. The entire running gear is set up for torque in low gears to pull weight up ledges and hills. So in short... it's better to have a manual for towing off-road.

    Ahhh, Rockwell axles.... I spent 20 years as a wrecker driver in the Army. If people knew how much preventive maintenance those axles need as far as seals and such they would stay far away from them. The sealed knuckles get pulled down and gone through periodically on the Army maintenance schedule (it's the Army, labor is free and nobody worries how much the parts cost) and the axle seals get replaced, but when used in a civilian vehicle the first sign of wear is usually when they fail catastrophically. People forget they are made by the cheapest bidder. Love watching your videos!!

    Gotta say, your tow truck is an absolute beast. Ol Mater is pretty darn bad ass!! That is one hairy rescue!

    Amazing, It seems every recovery is different, so it is enjoyable to watch different ways to rig. and you still show the scenery. Even tho you do a lot of recoveries is the same area, the scenery is always amazing. Keep it up.

    Great camera shots of the front axle. Maybe we could get a split screen with your feet on the pedals and where you are on the trail. Some of that would truly show the skill that is involved with your job..

    Three foot work at 9:04! i recognize excellence when I see it. Fully understand why you had to put your right heel/side of your foot on the throttle just a little. Nice work. Smooth.

    That weather forecast was spot on! The television people need to step aside, and let a local fella tell you what's coming!

    Thats what I like about Rory. He's professional. He never effs up an "anything". Its ruff when you do. All day on the phone. "I'm look'n for a 1986 anything."
    Nice smile BTW. That new?
