OG VIDEO; • AURORA - MURDER SONG (...
ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.

Hi
@@rva She is very very well just great. Singing and some small talk th-cam.com/video/evBgLWQwAFA/w-d-xo.html
Rebecca Vocal Athlete love the vids! Can we get some Chris Stapleton?
@@rva react aurora it happened quiet
It's my favorite hobby watching people fall in love with Aurora.
Yep so it is mine
Ditto💚
saaaaaaame I literally have like 5 more tabs open of people reacting to aurora lmao hahaha
I just made my cousin fall in love with her
Same!
4:00 let's admit it, we all had the same reaction when we first heard it
yea she sucks the soul right outta you.
When I saw Rebecca's expression I almost exploded! Hahah, that's so.. yes
First time, second time, every single time that I listen to AURORA.
Yes
TRUE!
What happened at 4:00 was the triple effect of Aurora’s movements and self expression, her amazing vocals pulling you in and the lyrics to the song.
Your reaction at 4:00 is basically what I’ve become addicted to since I first heard and started listening to musicians from Norway (where Aurora is from). It’s like you’re just sitting there listening and you don’t know what happened, if anything, but your body feels like it just got hit with this emotional train and you’re like “whaaaat is happening to me???” It’s hard to put your finger on it. There’s definitely something in the air over there. Check that stuff out if you haven’t! Susanne Sundfør, Emilie Nicolas for example. Anyway, great reaction! Awesome to see!
Have you checked out Wardruna? It is a Norwegian band and they are different and divine. Aurora has sung one song with them, Helvegen, you should give it a listen.
th-cam.com/video/FnkTuHP9q3o/w-d-xo.html Wardruna and Aurora - Helvegen (Live)
They sing in old Norwegian, so here are the translated lyrics, it is a 1000 year old poem about the road to death. This is really primal and goes strait to my spin
Helvegen (English Translation)
Wardruna
Who will sing me
Into the death-sleep sling me
When I walk the road to Hel
And the tracks I tread
Are cold, so cold
I sought the songs
I sent the songs
When the deepest well
Offered drops so mighty
Of Valfather’s pledge
I know it all, Odin
Where you hid your eye
Early or in fading day
Still the raven knows if I fall
When you stand by the gate of Hel
And when you must tear loose
Follow you I shall
Across the bridge of Gjöll
With my song
You will be free from the bonds that bind you
You are free from the bonds that bound you
[Håvamål - The High Ones' Speech, Poetic Edda]
Cattle die, kinsmen die
You yourself will also die
But the word about you will never die
If you win a good reputation
Cattle die, kinsmen die
You yourself will also die
I know one thing that never dies
The reputation of those who died
MotherStoneHeart , WOW! Amazing! Thank you for that!
Do you mean Susanne Sundfør? Love her too
Sunniva Vågnes YES. I can’t believe I didn’t catch that. Thanks. Fixed. She’s my favorite. Like, ever!
What are some other good artists to listen? I don’t know where to start.
Can u believe she’s 22 ....first time I saw her I swear she was 14
In interviews she acts like she is 14. She is terrible at communicating normaly, is super quiet, and is very weird.
@@matthewlawlis2421 she isn't weird . you are weird . and rude
Matthew Lawlis that is rude.....her fans relate to her and some are extremely shy. I don’t think none of us would appreciate that. I don’t want to be mean but that’s disrespectful.
Aurora was born on 15th June 1996, so she is now 22.
John Byatt oh geez sorry😅
she's got a very good voice , but also very expressive blue eyes , she for some reason reminds me a bit of Björk
A lil bit yes
Oh, yeah!
God no
I saw an interview where she mentions Kate Bush and Bjork being huge inspirations so it makes sense.
I think her voice and hands are more expressive than her eyes...she likes to do this wide eyed expression a lot though. That's her thing lol
Thank you so much for reacting to more Aurora! I recommend to listen and possibly react to her concert in Nidarosdomen, especially the song “It happened quiet”. It’s such a breathtaking performance.
LeoLöwenherz yessssss!
OH GOD. YES. PLEASE.
Yess💜💜
I was there for the concert! Easily on my TOP 3 list of best events in my life. I was not able to stop crying the whole concert, and i am not a cryer😥❤️
I agree one million percent. "It Happened Quiet" is not just a song. It is a breathtaking masterpiece. The entire Nidarosdomen concert is magic beyond words.
Right before you wondered about what her mind must be like, I was thinking, based on her expressions when she sings, that she seems to see the world in a different way. Her singing is beautiful and ethereal.
stop putting it in words Rebecca...just cry like i am doing right now...nobel peace prize event didnt choose her by accident...her outragious attitude is peace and love by itself...thanks again for sharing your feelings with YT community on this song, Rebecca !
I literally CANNOT listen to her without crying. I’ve tried.
And watching other people react to her makes me cry because a lot of them cry.. I'm still crying from watching the vid.
Thank you! I try all the time. I avoid listening to her if I'm out and about haha
means you have a soul
I'm a 36 years old 1.95m 100kg metal head, and the same happens to me everytime.
Oh my gosh, you HAVE to listen to her song “it happened quiet” live at the nidarosdomen , it is truly beautiful and enchanting. You will love it. OH also: her cover of life on mars is INCREDIBLE! So so amazing!! Please check these two out!
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Favourite Bowie track !
@@rva oh my dear! Prepare yourself to be moved more then you will anticipate. Aurora dos not try to sing it like Bowie did, she makes it her own and add to is. It is breathtaking. She sang it several times before he died, I hope he saw a video of it before he died. I think he would have approved. I feel David and Aurora are kindred spirits.
Aurora is my favorite female singer of ALL TIME. Every time I listen to her I'm over come with emotions and I can relate to all her songs, she just such a wonderful human being. You should check out her entire preformence of Nidarosdoem, and prepare to cry 💜
One million percent agreed. The concert at the Nidarosdomen concert is incredible and utterly gorgeous.
She is the first artist to bring me to tears again and again, just like she did to you, how does she do that, its brilliant
4:00 i felt the heart of the universe tremble!!!
Please react to AURORA Through the eyes of a child ( vevo lift) 😭😭
It's nice to see that it's not just me that knows she will have several different arrangements for a song.
YES!! Please react to Through The Eye Of A Child vevo lift!!
THISS
YES, pls 😩. Honestly that video is what i imagine heaven to be like. She even looks like an angel there
@@christian8156 Yes. I can see that you think angel, I think Elf Queen. In the vevo lift version it seem as if she has a light inside her and she is luminescent and it is shining out of her pores.
This song sound ancient and at the same time it is something completely new that feels terribly relevant in our day, all at the same time. It is beyond primal and beyond words, it is pure feeling, and healing. It feels like a hidden magic sprung to life in my whole body, it vibrates through my veins, touches my heart and nourishes my soul. It is as if this songs awakens something in my DNA I did not knew excited, a crumb of the great cosmos within me.
Somehow Aurora found this missing piece of humanity and has brought it back too us.
I was playing this for a chuckle in my living room, never heard this before but I do love Aurora. She hit that note and my girlfriend from across the room dropped a glass of water and I sat there dumbfounded, tears streaming down my face for no reason. I looked around the room and my girlfriend, my two friends and I were all crying. I literally felt that note like a punch in the chest, no idea why but I FELT that shit.
I love that you are so affected by the music. You are a professional. But you haven't melted into the profession so deeply that your heart has become shielded from the magic that can happen when the performance connects and opens you up. Please, keep that aspect of yourself. It's lovely.
Thank you for reacting to Aurora!! I wish there were more reactions to her performances. I've been a fan for quite a long time now. The fact that more and more people discover her music and find it beautiful makes my heart warm. Please, react to "It Happened Quiet" or "All Is Soft Inside" cause this songs are so emotional and divine. Thank you again for understanding her music and finding beauty in it.
She does this to many of us. She is tuning into something beyond her vocal abilities. More so than most musicians. One of the rare ones that can line her soul up with her performance to a point where her expression, voice, tone and ability and person are all one. Simply stellar
It’s funny that you mentioned “the secret garden” because Aurora wrote and sang a song for that movie :)
Thank you so much for reacting to Aurora, your content is great!
Ugh she is so magical and sounds so much like the studioversion live.... you need to watch a live performance of Black Water Lilies at Honda Stage. Lucky, It happened quiet or Soft Universe live at Nidarosdomen
LUCKY!!!! YESSS
Definitely check out the song Helvegen she did with Wardruna. It's very different and maybe I'm just a bit biased cuz it's featured in one of my favorite shows, but I think you'd like it
I just watched that for the first time tonight and it is incredible. It reminds me of Heilung.
@@ZosoZeppelin13 Female vocalist of Heilung is also Norwegian:)

oh my god, time flies. i remember when aurora was this amazing little moth and now she is the strong woman with her queendom
I'd love to see you react to Sigrid. She's a Norwegian artist that's gained a lot of popularity just like Aurora. They're even the same age! If you don't know where to start, I'd suggest "Sigrid at Paste Studio NYC live from The Manhattan Center". You'll get to experience three songs in the span of about 15 minutes. There's also some beautiful backup vocals and piano in there :)
Here's the link in case you can't find it:

They're actually good friends! :')
It so special when you find a singer and a song that elicits such a strong, real, visceral reaction that you must have to feel with your whole body
"Thy shook, as Shakespeare would have said." That cracked me up. But seriously, Aurora is something special. I adore her music.
I'd love to see you reach to Beth Hart. There is a pretty nonending supply of live performances from her on TH-cam, but maybe "Beth Hart - Leave The Light On (Live At The Royal Albert Hall)" would be a place to start.
Aurora is just so ethereal ❤️ she's out of this world, so amazing....
Love your reaction to Aurora. So beautiful. She sings with her hands and soul, and it draws you in and you connect. She's powerful 😍
Please react to Under the water by AURORA. That song it's just... pure magic. 💕
I LOVE YOUR REACTIONS!
That's my favorite song it's just so good but underrated af :(
@@evandersolis5528 I feel like in general Aurora is so underrated. She's so talented and has such a beautiful angel voice.
The point where she will love Aurora forever. 04:03
When her name is mentioned in the music industry, it is associated with quality!
Please please please react to her singing It happened quiet live at Nidarosdomen. Your reaction after 3:53 was soooo adorable and pure ❤❤
Yes!! It happened quiet live at Nidarosdomen is a masterpiece of another world.
It Happened Quiet is so good, it is off the scale. I cannot stop listening to it.
@@63rdwho Yes it is a masterpiece! listened to It Happened Quiet for months, it is so.... so... magical and insightful. A couple of weeks ago it was Lucky on repeat because I needed it and now it is All Is Soft Inside and I switch between the Live on KEXP performance and the one in Live at Lollapalooza Brasil 2018.
I absolutely adore both, in Iceland she is so free, demanding and wild, while she in Brazil is uber feminine and ethereal. I adore how Aurora shows the wild side of womanhood and that all emotions are valid and we are free to live them out.
@@mammastenhjerte I only discovered Aurora about a month ago, and am absolutely mesmerised by her. I too like the KEXP concert, and also the live at Nidarosdomen. And tonight I watched the Lolapolooza in Chicago from 2016. I love how Aurora is not only unique, but also honest. I have watched several of her interviews, and she has no pretentiousness like many mainstream artists. Also, hoping this doesn't sound wrong in any way, she is beautiful too; no piercings, no tattoos, and what little makeup she uses - I know there is always some on stage anyway - is not excessive, just naturally beautiful. Just Aurora. A breath of fresh air in a world where many artists are the same as each other.
@@63rdwho I found her nearly a year ago and not a day has gone bye that I have not listened to her. She is now the soundtrack of my life. I am going to see her live on March 22th.
Please react to Aurora - Through The Eyes Of A Child Live omg it's so beautiful
Yes!!! The vevo lift version!!
Yes absolutely. The Vevo lift (live) version is utterly gorgeous.

I absolutely love to watch your reactions to Aurora performance! You're always so honest. Lovely. You understand her and his universe it's really adorable each time...
The artist singing with her is Odd Martin Skalnes.
I was caught off guard at 4:00 and literally teared up. Idk why

YAS! Thank you so much for reacting to Aurora's content! Sending love from Argentina 💙
Loved that when we suddenly popped into her world and experiencing all emotional journey without noticing. Switching dimension like snap snap
This is the first i've heard of AURORA, and WOW was I blown away! I agree that she's got the vocal emotion and style of Lana, but also the agility and energy of Sia. Can't wait for you to react to more of her, i'll try to wait for your videos before I listen to more of her!
She has such a mystical sound. I LOVE it! Kind of gloomy dark adventure teen movie sound track.
Yess I've been waiting for so long for you to react to Aurora again! She's one of my favourites, her voice and her expression are magical. I knew you'd like it 💖
I love that you find Aurora fascinating. I love watching your reactions to her. She is one of my favorite singers and some day I would love to see her in concert.
I'm surprised that this wasn't her cover of Teardrops by Massive Attack, since you mentioned in your last video with Aurora that she reminds you of them.
More people asked for her original work
Yaaaaaay! She’s amazing isn’t she???! Obviously feel free to react to many more of her performances. Especially the more recent ones, she’s such a special artist. Love you! 😊✨
Oh I loooooove Aurora so much, I've seen her live when she came to Brazil and it blew my mind! She's incredible! Thank you for the react Rebecca, you're great
delivery and control in abundance here. the arrangement is perfect. 4.00 Rebecca gets it straight in the heart. we've all been hit the same, my love. Aurora plugs straight into what matters, Simple as that. Enjoying your work Rebecca.
I love you! Your videos always make me happy! She is so captivating, magical almost..
Now I'm off to find out if you have other reactions of her! I need more of you fangirling over her!
Thy Lady doth be shooketh, because Aurora's voice is like the sun shining through a crystal glass window inside an old church.
Aurora is a total Star Child!
I was captivated by Aurora's tone, and her movements in this piece. The way she performed this along with that guitar accompaniment was hauntingly beautiful, and emotive. As always, loved your reaction Rebecca!
Don't be sorry for the mood she conjures. She is am ethereal being, you can't ignore the beauty of it💚💚
its what i want in AuRoRa reacts.
Honestly I get it, sometimes aurora brings tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for coming back to her!
Your reaction at abt. 4:00 is exactly what mine was...the depth of emotion evoked...the mood of the lyrics...tone of the song create a huge wave that hits one. Although I have heard this song (in several versions) many times, that wave still hits me every time I hear it, esp. this particular performance.
Oh I only found Aurora a few months back but I'm obsessed. Her music speaks to me on a whole other level. She's in a world and league of her own! 💖

You reacted to AURORA!!!! my Queen. Thank you soooo much
I absolutely love Aurora ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I get that goosebump effect every time I listen to her
I have watched tons of reaction video's on TH-cam, your reaction at the 4:02 mark is the most raw, authentic and memorable reaction I have seen to date. Aurora has a way of pulling you into another dimension.
The moment at 4:00 is what I love about music. That visceral reaction, where the music just touches something that you can’t explain.
The amount of emotions we can feel from 4:00 is really intense. The first few times I heard it, I physically began to shiver as I got overpowered by her voice. I can't really describe it well, but it felt somewhat like emotional pressure or something. It really messes with you and you can't help but take a step back every time. This is what I love about her
You should try listening to Aurora “ through the eyes of a child” the stripped version which is a capella. One of the Best performances i have ever heard.
I love this performance. I discovered Aurora from your other video of her and she is my entire life now
I love all the complements you gave her. I agree. Her voice is very angelic and I love it. I love the whimsical aspects of her music. I love your positivity!
Please watch "it happend quiet" live, What she does it is just incredible.
Just love the way she gets lost in her songs and performance 😍 Yay for more Aurora reactions! 😍 Great breakdown as always, we were all shooketh indeed 😬💙 It would be awesome to see you react to her collaboration with Wardruna in the song Helvegen 😊
Yes! More Aurora reactions and defiantly Helvegen with Wardruna, and hopeful then more Wardruna and Einar Selvik.
just came back from seeing aurora perform tonight. the live energy completely takes you somewhere else.
how have you not done more Aurora? Amazing. I can't stop listening. I hope you have some of her stuff on your personal playlist, because she's an artist that needs to be heard.
The "emotional moment" made me start to weep. So powerful.
I LOVE WHEN YOU REACT TO ARTISTS I LOVE.
At the beginning, I didn't like her. Her vocals were weird to me. But then I listened to THIS song and I cried my eyes out. She makes me cry a lot (confessions of a metalhead, pt. 1 xD). She reproduces a type of vibration that causes that in me, it is either voice, guitar, cello, keyboards.... There are just some sounds that trigger something. I shake like when having huge goosebumps and then my eyes just liquify. It's amazing.
Thank you again for reacting to Aurora 💙 I really think you would enjoy her live performance of ‘Through the eyes of a child” it’s pretty surreal. ✨
Love this! Aurora leaves me the same way every time.
Thank you for reacting to more of Aurora. I only found her music about a month ago, and can't stop listening to her. I would love if you would react to "It Happened Quiet" live at the Nidarosdomen. That song is a masterpiece.
Yes please, please react to "It Happened Quiet" live at the Nidarosdomen, it is an musical and emotional masterpiece and t highlight the amount of control she has over her voice.
i love it when you react to aurora, it makes me so damn happy! react to her live performance of “it happened quiet” at nidarosdomen.
Love this talented young lady. I discovered her 3 years ago thanks to a TV show in Italy (somebody was dancing on "Runaway") and I was completely captivated by her voice and then by her stage presence too. Thank you for this Rebecca 😊
Do us a double Rebecca, listen to Aurora's concert in Nidarosdomen (Nidaros cathedral), Trondheim, Norway. She performed in front of a sold-out audience alongside her band, TrondheimSolistene (ensemble/orchestra), Oslo Fagottkor (choir), Petra Bjørkhaug (organist) and Florence And The Machine's Ruth Potter (harpist). Skip to "Through The Eyes Of A Child" and immediately after is "It Happened Quiet". If you dont cry as she performs these two songs, i will be amazed.
I love your reactions and critiques you are brilliant and funny. When you almost cried… got me a little bit. I love Aurora and I love this video.
She's good Shnooks. Her facial expressions remind me of Bjork xx
Yes! Shnookies
You should listen to her song lucky that she preformed on vevo discover.she does a very unique thing with her voice at one point during the song and it’s absolutely beautiful and just breathtaking when she does that . But if you want to go on an emotional and spiritual journey I recommend listening to her stripped version of “through the eyes of a child” that she preforms. Its honestly very magical and emotional.
Yes Aurora is amazing. Great reaction video as always. Would love to see a video from you about LP. Lots of love
I love your personality. You are great❤️

passing of my mother’s
late mother Salima
Chai, I had to,
as an Israeli,
face the pain and
trauma of the death
of having lost someone
eternally meaningful and
loving for my real
mother. As I mourned
my late grandmother,
I decided to carry on
her love and kindness
led legacy, for my
Jerusalem Israeli
family and my mother,
and ensuring
I could support
my family and
mother as much as
I can, every
single day,
they need
my shoulder.
In December 2017,
I saw The Battle of
The Sexes Film;
I also saw the film
Wonder Woman,
La La Land, Mary Queen
of Scots, Secretariat,
Moonlight, The Beauty and
the Beast led by Emma
Watson, Three Billboards
Outside Ebbing Missouri,
and Brooklyn, all films that taught
me, that every person and life, has the power to inspire
and uplift the world with eternal love, joy, happiness, kindness,
compassion, hope, resilience, courage, gratitude, and grace.
Since July 23rd 2018 of last summer, I have been correcting computer
data algorithms for Mobileye Intel Har Hotsvim Jerusalem, and Mobileye Intel’s
QA System, which enables computer machine vision learning technology
and artificial intelligence technology, to innovate and repair safe driving technology
innovation resources, in order to stop fatal road accidents and save hundreds
of thousands of lives every year. A person is judged by the love, that our own human person and soul carries. Never ever give up. Through resilience, love, heart, and courage, anything is possible. Even impossible dreams, can come true, when we love the universe the way we love ourselves." “Hope is the most powerful force in the universe.” ― William H. McRaven, Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life...And Maybe the World. (I believe one day I will win an Oscar Academy Award).
More Aurora!!! please!! It happened quiet!
she is so open and vulnerable it’s so hard not to have emotion run through you.
I love how you are mirroring her movements and just really feel into her voice. It's so amazing to see this.
What happened was, Aurora reaches inside and touched your soul. She actually wanted you to cry. She thinks it’s good for us.
Omg yesss 💚💚💚
Love Aurora's music! She is always so passionate in the way she sings and the way she moves as she sings. :D Also, I love your cute pink t-shirt with the lace sleeves! :D
Aurora is love.😍
