LMES always has the vision to bring a revolution in the education system of our country and each student should enjoy the process of learning. To accomplish the mission, we created an application for school students named Chitti Classes. Students can learn the basic concepts in their curriculum connected with real-time experiments and animations.
I had worked in CPCL plant for more than 6 months as a HSE engineer. I have almost 11 years of experience in this field. But the CPCL plant was the worst ever plant I had worked. As you rightly mentioned in the video, you can feel the pollution when you breathe. So, I decided to switch the company for the sack of my health. But I feel pitty for the people living around ennore area.
Also, all the thermal power plants in that region pollutes environment like anything. Because the government sectors don't care about the compliance as they are busy making rules which they don't follow. It is the truth. The CPCL employees and Power plant employees won't come to the site and does their work. They will simply sit at the office and earn their income. Because they are the servants of the nation (Government employees) 😏.
Anyway, respect to LMES team to speak about it.

Deepakwhere right about the return flow of water from Buckingham canal, the storage tanks were filled at the time they opened those tanks. more or less the people around this industrial area are surely affected by the carcinogenic effect thanks to LMES you have done a great thing for the people around this industrial area

Living in ennore since my childhood. Having grey hair at 24. Happy to see some big channels giving media coverage. After oil leak had ammonia gas leak. As a msc chemistry graduate I know the adverse effects of industries around ennore from coromandel fertilizers to hinduja foundries to ennore thermal power station to cpcl and other industries in Manali. Atleast it's good if these industries treat the wastes properly before releasing into environment..

I had visited ennore yesterday, I'm near by that area minjur. Me & my frnds visited there to know more about the people's problem being issue with the ammonia gas leakage to make a documentary film for my frnds project. Spoke to the local people's of periyakuppam and was absolutely shocked their protests against the coramandal company continuing for 59th day as yesterday. Police tried to drive away us not to cover any of these infos as it is a sensitive issue against the company and government. Glad to know you guys have the guts to show whats happening over here... People must know what is going within our chennai. நன்றி.

Please correct me if I’m wrong , the OEBs after consumption sink to the bottom of the seas polluting the sea bed ecosystem which is why OEBs are used in deep sea oil spills where this is negligible and not coastal spills.

I didn't know any information about oil spill that knew something about in school days. Now, i am being known something little bit by LMES course of action. A big response to LMES for making people aware and broadcast these type of problems. You people are sincerely working Hard for people who will live in good health and property.

I am working in a similar organization in Saudi Arabia. Here if there is a leak, the local legislation will issue heavy fine over the organization and if it is repeated or the leak magnitude is high then they will cancel product handling or operating license.
Cleaning the contaminated water and soil is important. But at the same time the reason for such leak shall be investigated. Usually these shall be controlled by local pollution control board before leaking through auditing. Here it is very clear that the Tamil nadu pollution control board is merely existing for the name sake.
Serious action shall be taken over the guys responsible in pollution control board.
Its high time for Chennai people to support ennore people 😕

I would like to thank LMES team to bring such a thing to light.. this is not the case only with ennore but every district of TN has places with almost the same impacts.. I'm a senior seconday student I still remember the norms that I was taught in my primary education that factories must be set away from the people's livelihood.. why the govt didn't make sure that those factories are built far away from residential area.. in future it's not only gonna affect common people but also those who didn't take proper care of these matter.. I hope that none of us will forget that protest for Jallikattu.. if the situation still goes worse next generation will even hold another protest to save our own world..
