FTX is really putting the pressure on the more expensive RC brands.
When I bought my son an FTX Tracer brushed, then an Arrma Vorteks 3S BLX for myself, I obviously felt the difference. One for children, one for crazy bashing. But my childs ftx already had some more quality, for example Arrma keeps and goes on wobbling more and more.
Recently FTX released same FTX Tracer w brushless motor, 1:16 size for ~£110 which does wheelies and back/frontflips on command w 2s lipo. Its crazy good value for money. Now they also go at least £100 below Rival mt10 or discounted Arrma Granite 3s blx on this 1:10 size, and they also include a lipo. Spares are also plenty everywhere and half or third the price of Arrma and other bigger brands. I must say, this is crazy good. In glad.

For the body clips you can use some thin zip ties to join two together then if one came off you won't loose the second one and if the zip tie is yellow you and both come off you can find them pretty easy, never lost body pins again

✌🏻😎🏴I’ve been looking at this for months just waiting for someone on TH-cam to get it. Sometimes I wish I didn’t even know about RC’s before they are released to the public. It’s strange. When I was younger I had loads of patience. Now I feel like the older I get the less patience I have because I have less time to live or something 😂

As already mentioned, it shares the same chassis/platform with the Reely New 1, Stagger and Rat Max. I've the New 1 and the Stagger and both cars a real fun 😃👍🏻 The diffs and the arms are a bit of a weak spot if you're going to bash it a bit harder. But in Germany RAGUA offers great metal an RPM upgrade parts (esp. Reely New 1). I think they should also fit to the FTX Ramraider 😃👍🏻
I've been wondering about upgrading the arms on my Carnage, but I'm worried going for stronger ones will push those forces further in and damage the chassis. (I may or may not hit the occasional tree).
Same as the FS-RACING as well. It also have weak diffs and it's kind of sad cause it is such a little good truck.
This is one tough truck,cheap RC Trucks/Cars can take more abuse than expensive ones,i have the Zorro and Rokatan and there superb machines.

Rpm sells arms for the helion dominus sc10 and helion invictus mt10 and they will fit the ramraider
I've noticed another model on this platform: the FTX Apache. Looks like they are positioning themselves as the slightly cheaper alternative to Arrma.

I’ve got this truck and it give an absolute bashing when I take it and so far only broke one arm and steering knuckle. I totally agree that servo is not man enough but in the box it’s states it’s a 10kg not a 6kg

Much better looking than the supermegafugly Rokutan, that's for sure!!
And why do some cars seem to shed body clips, like my cat sheds it's fur!! And it doesn't seem to matter if the pins are front to back, or side to side, the bloody things always come out!! My FTX Zorro being a prime culprit!! I ended up getting some Arrma style pins, with the rubber straps!! Problem solved. 😎🤘🏻

That looks very, very much like a FS Racing - Victory X. Same bump for the transmiission in the chassi, same cover for the motor gearbox. The covers for the front and rear diffs are similar.
FS racing manufactures everything for FTX and helion and associated and red cat, etc
@@kenmastersmaster Nah, not all Red Cats, perhaps current models but the Caldera is made by BSD. This I know because I have two of the BSDs.

Bought one of these today! Think it came with a defect, something isn’t right with the front left shaft, it’s moving around a lot in the diff, taking it back for inspection tomorrow, don’t want a refund just want to have a play with it haha

I don't think I would buy one for to it being not that far and like you said servo. I've just been out with my new maverick ion and it's very fast, but the body not so great and pretty much every time I jumped it stopped working I think it's where you plug in the battery it is coming lose not connecting, so gotta push back in. But I pad around £55 and it's great for that price. Had a French audience at the skate park who were very excited watching.😅
I just bought one yesterday, batteries fully charged, new batteries in control, have turned on power but then nothing happens. Is there something that has to be done with controller i.e sink it to the jeep. Any help would be great, tks
With the transmitter switched off, hold the bind button then switch it on... the green lights will flash. Then switch the truck on a wait until it connects. Mine had the same issue. I think it may also tell you how to 'bind' it in the instructions. Hope that helps.
This or pay the extra for a DR8 Phil? This looks quicker with all the wheelies etc ☺️

This really looks a lot like the HSP Wolverine/HNR Mars (bodywise as well as some other comoponents, not exact, but some resemblance for sure) as a self appointed Banggood/Aliexpress RC expert. Also just realized the Maxx design is just the Rival MT-10 with more HGH.

Carnage is a good for the money, this is about double the price, and a little better.
@@TomleyRC I should have specified, Carnage Brushless.
I'm just wondering if it's worth upgrading the electronics (that annoying lag is, well, annoying) or look at a more-betterer starting point and keep the Carnage as a spare.
It's that impossible dilemma really.

I bought one at an auction for £160 together with a £50 RC Boat, great deal, too bad It's for resale, I would love to keep it.
That's just the Reely that had Sand paddles and a crappy body. The MT tires and body are cool. They did improve it some.

Yes possible… and it’s pretty cold at the mo. It doesn’t run 4s

So in theory I could put a 100C 3s and it wouldn't damage it.
This is my first rc so it's all a bit confusing.
Read up on it hundreds of times but still confused what is the best battery to get the most out of your system and how to do the maths based on the system.
Could anyone work out the best battery for the Ramraider as an example. So I can somehow workout how you got to that conclusion

How come a more expensive ftx uses cross head screws, when a cheaper ftx model like the vantage or carnage uses hex head?
I guess it depends on the manufacturer, FTX don’t manufacture stuff themselves

I have got a reely stagger recently from Conrad, and its the exact same chassis and suspension arm. Only this one has bodyposts. And the stagger doesn't.
Good set ups, the Rokatan (Reely Rat) impressed me

hmmm... I've not got mine to hand.... but it may tell you in the instructions how to calibrate the esc. I messaged FTX after your comment to let them know there maybe some issues with these not connecting out the box

Not sure you’ll be able to get one in the US. Reely is a manufacturer that use the same chassis. So maybe worth having a look at them
It's an updated body on the FS Racing Rebel, which should be available in more places than the Reely and FTX versions.
Strongly considering buying one of these bodies for my Rokatan..... Will it fit the body posts, or would i need to get them as well.
That front bumper and rear wheely bar are nice too...
Be interesting to see it side by side with the Rokatan with the bodies off...
