I’ve had nothing but positive results from Nokta. Currently running the Simplex Plus. My grandson is getting fired up with MDing. He actually beat me with a Bounty Hunter on the beach(fresh water lake)while I was in the water. I had tons more beer caps, pull tabs, overall finds…he had more change, bling junk jewelry. Made sure to brag on him, trying to bring him into the hobby young. Jewelry finds are AWESOME!
Am brand new to detecting and just received one of these for my birthday. I’m 56 and ready to start digging! Thanks so much for the review and demonstration. I subscribed to your channel.
I have to say, you chose an interesting location for putting your digging tool at - especially with that particular grip colour.. Maybe going to a playground with the current setup might not be the best idea, could potentially get you some critical looks from the parents. 😋
Actually, it looks and sounds good. Am looking for a detector for my 8year old grand nephew. This looks like it hits all the spots. He likes my legend. So thanks for trying this out. I think I'm sold on the lite.
Ive swung the Simplex+ for awhile and upgraded to the Ultra a couple weeks ago. Im really enjoying it, especially in 4 tone and 99 tone with pitch adjustments. I really like having 15 khz vs 12 khz from the plus, and being able to adjust recovery speeds and depth settings. It makes the bigger coil able to coin snipe as well as my Simplex plus SP24 9x5 coil.
Got to say I'm pretty impressed with the lite. Definitely best bang for the buck being under 200 bucks. Love those 9x5 coils. Can't beat them at the park. Happy hunting brother!
Hey! Great Video! I have bought 2 of these detectors and gave the first one to a friend. Bought another one for under $200.00.Mostly because of your review. I also have 2 Legends. They are a lot more complicated than the Simplex Lite. Great detector for beginners @ a great price. Thank you>
I love your videos! I was impressed with your review on the Nokta Simplex Lite. So much so that I ordered one. On sale at $179 currently on Amazon. 4:48
Change hasn't been coming too plentiful lately.. but still out there to be found. I do like the simpler machines for the parks.. just gets me out there digging! However for the beaches.. I like something a little extra too, gives me a little more confidence out there running a nice stable machine I know can punch pretty deep. 👍
I actually liked this video of the Simplex lite. The value of the coil alone makes the detector so worth buying. If I hadn't already bought my Nox900, I would probably buy this just from watching your video.
Thank you for the info. How ironic that I saw this video right after we ordered our first simplex! We had been saving up to get it so I am very excited to start hunting with it. How cool that you found a crucifix the first time you tried the machine! And tons of quarters too
I bought the Lite on Amazon Prime day for $159. Couldn't pass it up. My only complaint was the wobbly lower shaft. I bought a carbon fiber lower and it's awesome now. The Legend lower works on the Simplex Lite.
I've got a couple of the old Simplex has but it don't think I'm going to worry getting the new one. I still want to pick up a legend though. Great hunt good little score
Wow, a great machine at a great price. The Lite costs less than the CoilTek 10x5 coil I bought for my Nox 800!! Looks like a good detector for travel also and it would be a great one as a backup. Great video and tutorial!! Thanks!!😎👍😎
I took the Legend and the Simplex out to some parks and the Simplex Lite is so stable compared to the Legend. I did notice the battery drains quicker on the new generation Simplex.
I have that same problem with the Legend, doesn't matter if I'm in single frequency it's kind of always sparky for me. I'll keep an eye on the battery of the Lite, haven't charged it yet.
That coil alone would probably cost $120.00. I'm thinking of getting the lite & the ultra, 2 detectors and 2 coils for around $500.00 .👍 Thanks for the video.
Good video.. I am currently on the fence between the lite or the x terra pro. A couple of friends have both machines and seem to like them both. X Terra pro is on sale locally for $219 so it makes it a tough decision.
Great video as always Austin, between your videos and Paystreak's the Simplex seems like a formidable machine for the price. Was never a fan of the squeaky tones. Keep the videos coming I always enjoy your hunts 👍
All I got at the beach the other day with my much more expensive Nokta Legend was $1.82. You beat my hunts yet again! Nice, first day out you paid off 1% of the cost of your machine. Another hundred hunts and it will pay for its self. That's all you need for modern park hunting. Most deep silver was already found years ago in most areas. Now I'm mostly an actual treasure hunter that needs maximum depth for places like the Treasure Coast were the things I seek are likely to be deep in the historic sediment layers.
Great hunt for a cheaper machine , i run the Ledgend with the lg24 , was also having the interference on it when I turned on pinpointer , found out do a frequency shift and interference goes away, but great hunt and keep the videos coming !
Not familiar with the simplex , but on the Ledgend you have a settings icon that has a short line ,a long line and a short line , and 2 sideways arrows pointing in opposite directions , go to that icon , lift the coil out in front of you and hold steady , press the pinpoint button and then it will go through the channels (1-13) then it will select the quietest channel , hope this helps
I'm thinking about switching from a Teknetics Eurotec Pro to one of these new generations of Simplex detectors. Would the Lite be a decent upgrade or do I need a BT or Ultra to make it worth it?
Great video on this machine. Ive been thinking of adding md'n to my outdoor hobbies for a while now. This line up is very attractive when considering the features at the cost. The Lite being the base model appears to be a good starter machine. One question i have tho, do you feel limited by the gold/silver detecting with this machine? Would you see yourself starting for the first machine with the Lite vs the plus or ultra? TIA And thank you for sharing!
Really enjoy your videos, you explain a lot and I already have the new ultra and my sister has been on hunts with me and she’s really interested in detecting, I think this machine you have here is the perfect machine I’d like to get her. It has the perfect amount of settings she could set it up easily and I think she would appreciate this video I’m going to get her to watch it. Wish you the best on all your hunts, take care and thanks for making this video. Great finds! Did you figure out what the cross you found was made of, was it silver or white gold? Or was it a junker?
It's pretty good. You can't beat it, for the price. I like that it comes with the smaller coil. Overall it's the Simplex plus, with less features. Perfect for beginners. Stay dirty 👍
Hello, I think they will both be good machines in different ways. Both have their strengths & weaknesses. Go with the one that speaks to you, the one that you like & fits your needs best. They will both find things just in different ways 👍
I'll be interested to see what it does near salt water, too. If it's stable, I'll have to consider it for my granddaughter's next detector. Thanks for this video!
Looks very good for the price and you found a Cross! I was thinking about getting the Ultra. Instead I got ANOTHER Nokta Makro Simplex! Lol! I couldn't pass it up. It was only used once and came with everything, including the SP24 Coil...for $250! Besides, I am a creature of habit !
What about the battery being a chargeable? I think I would prefer AA's or 9V, that way if your battery dies, you get new one's, these rechargeable one's once they don't hold a charge, you have what? a nice paper weight? What are your thoughts on this? I really would like to know.
You aren't wrong, a few years down the line it'll be hard to know if the companies will still support these machines. I like having a rechargeable battery personally... but you may even be able to get some rechargeable AAs or 9V.
I was thinking of getting myself a waterproof machine, and can’t decided whether to get the xterra pro or the simplex+. In the shop where I get my stuff they come at the same price. You have both so which one would you recommend?
I think they're both good but haven't used them enough side by side to choose one over the other, I say do a little research on them both & see which one speaks to you.. 👍
I returned mine after one use. I have a few other detectors but I found this unit's sound/tone was so annoying and grating. Trying out the Garrett AT Max now
Hey totally respectable, I always say I don't think there's a "best" machine... a lot of it comes down to preference! Find what you enjoy swinging and you'll find plenty with it. 👍👍
What are you swinging right now? I think it's honestly kind of personal preference. Haven't used the lite enough to speak a lot on it but it seems pretty dang good for the price. 🤠 But I've always had good luck with my Vanq 440.. tough choice.
@@TreasureOutdoors right now I’m swinging a ace 250 and a xterra pro but thinking of retiring the 250…I may get a vanquish because of the multi and it’s a lot cheaper and great for the money and since I don’t have a multi machine or I may save and get a legend a lot of thinking to do lol
I've never had/used a metal detector before. Would you recommend the simplex lite over the bounty hunters? Also how has this simplex lite been going for you?
I think the Simplex lite is a good pickup for beginners, the smaller coil will help you recover targets a little easier. Rechargeable battery, waterproof.. hard to go wrong! 👍

You really should have shown the built in pin pointer function in the Lite, it is reaaly amazing.
For a beginner and with a reasonable price to get someone interested in the hobby!!! 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for another entertaining and informative vid from fellow TH-camr metal detectorists in Buffalo, NY. We love your channel!

How do you do a frequency shift as I bought a Pulse dive pinpointed & use it with the Simplex Lite & the interference is terrible

Not all of them are, most of the coils are OK to put under the water though.

Yes it's waterproof, not sure how deep it'll go but it should work.

If he digs the signals for me, I hope so. Also would be a nice body guard. 🤣
Nice cross
Accept pulltabs, reject everything else.
Is it lighter in weight?
I think slightly, normal Simplex claims 2.9lb whereas the lite claims 2.6lbs. It feels like to swing!

Yes, hope to take it out soon! I don't think it'll be the BEST out there.. but hoping it'll work stable & find me something. I will be happy with a penny 😂
The kids here don’t go back to school until September 🇨🇦. Parks are busy
How much the price
Around $200 USD 👍
Had to stop a few seconds in when talking about the guy on the box. Sure he metal detects. He digs only IRON signals. Hahahah.
Dude, I will say, (probably the perv in me) at the beginning of the video, your pinpointer position was a bit disturbing! 😂😂😂🍞
😂 You aren't the first to say that!
Every crucifix I've ever dug sounded like crap. Higher conducting versions sound better, the gold ones all sound terrible. lol.
