It doesn't matter how many times I've seen the movie, the scene with Optimus and the other Autobots arriving on Earth will always give me the good kind of chills.
And the awesome soundtrack!
@@kennniiikc3162 still listen to the song every once in a while
@@kennniiikc3162 "Arrival To Earth" is definitely a beautifully done masterpiece of orchestral music.
that sound track, at that point in the movie, gives me goosebumps, every time!
@@spyro257 That music perfectly sets the tone for the scene. An air of mystery, wonder and amazement.
People gotta remember this came out in 2007. I remember seeing this when it came out, I was 13 and I remember being so amazed at how good this movie looked.
The opening scene was mind blowing action
I was 20 when I see this 😮
And 22(when the second one came out😮) ..but better these movies I was watching Fast and the furious series in my early teens 😅
I was 5 when this came out now I'm 21 😂 time sure flies fast.
I was 14. Cars, Robots, Music and Megan Fox. What else would I want? Haha nostalgic
I was 7 or 8 at the time
The CGI in this movie still looks good after 15 years
Some of the best work ILM has ever done.
Some of the old stuff is better than some new stuff.
Iron man 1 also hold up very well
The CGI is fine, the designs are bad and make the action scenes bad. It's hard to tell one character from the next. Bumblebee movie had excellent character designs. The opening of that movie blows every other transformers live action movie away.
Looks much better than rise of the beasts.
16 years actually
"More than meets the eye" is their tag line from back in the 80's. If it sounds corny its because of the way its been used and abused by others since.
That opening scene with Blackout’s transformation still gives me goosebumps now as it did when I first saw it. All my childhood hopes of TF Live Action realized.
That was bad ass.
starscream at 52:28 is still one of the coldest entrances to a fight I've ever seen, dude swoops in starts giving the bots a rough time and then just says "ight imma dip now" and proceeds to display the coldest transformation just to fly away, and god damn his sound design is on point
At the end when he says "There's more to them than meets the eye" and you say it's a corny line, that's actually a throwback to the original series because the theme song used to go "TRANSFORMERS: More than meets the eye!"
IKR. Whatcha know about That ? Lol. 😆😂
Transformers, Transformer ! More than meets the Eye !
Possibly unpopular opinion, but my favorite scenes from the earlier transformers were always the military ones.
They never failed to give me goosebumps
The music when the military fights scorponok in the desert is soo good
especially the AWACS and A-10 scene
I remember when my mom took me and my uncle (her youngest brother) to go see this movie in theaters back in 2007.
16 years later, still one of my favorite movies of all time.
"Get the car, get the woman. Well not really, you've gotta have the balls to ask them to get in"
LEGENDARY life advice my dude. Much love
YES!!
I saw this movie with my dad and it blew me away!
Originally Michael Bay didn't want to make the movie, thinking it was going to be "a stupid kids film aimed at toys."
When he read the script, he signed on to the project.
Robert Zemeckis and Joseph Kahn were considered for Directing until Michael Bay was picked.
The original script was more closely similar to a disaster film, and that it was told from the human characters perspective, where they caught in the crossfire, while none of the robot characters had any dialogue
The climax was very different as it was going to be an homage to old westerns, taking place in the Grand Canyon.
I can't say I'm a Michael Bay fan. He's responsible for all the movies now that have no sense of pacing or storytelling. But he gave us Megan Fox bending over a car in short shorts. So I can't be too angry with him.
All new to me. I loved how bay went back to his bad boys 2 shot where the camera pans around the room for a gun fight. I remember an article sayin this was a 2 hr plus chevy commercial. But i loved it
I thought Steven Spielberg chose Michael specifically to direct the movie because of his visual style. I had no idea those other guys were considered. It would have been interesting to see this movie through Robert Zemeckis’s eyes.
A Grand Canyon transformer battle would’ve been sick but we got close enough with Egypt
Well I mean it is.
Leo calling Bumble Bee "Bee-otch" is funny AF! Bee is anything but. Great reaction as usual Leo. Ohio Love.
Say what you want about the sequels, it's fair game for those but the first Transformers film was AWESOME, no one knew what to expect really from the film and i remember having so much fun, the sequels got the full Michael Bay treatment with the Bayism's and all but the Transformers themselves are top notch.
this movie in the cinema was something else man, with all the sound effects on the massive speakers too
@@ScottThePisces yup still remember going to watch this movie entertaining and funny
Yep. I enjoyed this film in theaters as well as Bumblebee. The rest, not that much.
I saw the 80's animated Transformers movie in the cinema as a kid. I saw the first live action Transformers movie in the cinema and it did not disappoint! Sat there with a big smile on my face the whole way through.
Honestly the only mistake this movie makes is that Mikaela should have been the main protagonist instead of Sam. She's got a better story and more rounded character.
‘I am Megatron!’ Leo:‘We already know that’. I don’t know why but that got me 😂😂😂
the reason why Megatron said that is that because people kept calling him NBE1
Anyone else hear his alarm going off the entire reaction? 😂😂😂
Thank you, came here looking for this comment…shocked all long it took to find it. As soon as I started hearing the alarm I couldn’t not hear it lol
@@Tater-yy8hwNot the first reaction I’ve heard it in. Mr. Video watch your alarms please‼️
Those Optimus speeches give goosebumps. I remember when u watched it at the cinema, some of us just stood up lol
RIP Bernie Mac - anyone else notice the yellow Beetle easter egg in the used car lot? (Bumblebee was a beetle back in the 80s cartoon)
Of course I noticed that and it's funny as the first time I watched this I actually thought the bug was bee until I seen the bumblebee hanging from the mirror of the camaro
I grew up in the 80s and had so many Transformers (I still do) and when Optimus transforms for the first time I got a tear in my eye.
“What insurance covers asteroids? The General?” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
SO many goosebumps moments in this film.
That first time Sam runs his thumb across the horn button, revealing the Autobot symbol.
The first time Optimus rolls into frame.
This movie was full of callbacks to the old series and first film, as well as great action scenes and just enough jokes to make you laugh, without being too damn silly (I’m looking at YOU, Thor films…)
I love how they got original Optimus prime voice for the movies. Bless that man.
Peter Cullen will always be the goat
NGL that opener was hard. "You think you're looking at me? I'm looking at you". YEEEEEEE!!
I grew up on Gen 1 transformers... These movies are my shiiit! Many don't like the sequels but I'm all in every time one comes out and I'm never disappointed. Can't wait for you to see all the rest!! ✌️
Still have my Gen 1 soundwave with 3 of the cartridges. One of my favorite toys ever.
@@timothybrown5999 That's dope!!
Have you seen rise of the beasts yet? Curious on your thoughts ( obviously don’t say spoilers for those that haven’t seen yet especially Leo lol) it probably my favorite now out of em all
@terogates1 Saw it. Loved it!
Revenge of the fallen was decent
When the soldier said "use 105 shells" he is referring to 105 millimeter howitzer rounds fired from an AC-130 gunship. Basically the AC130 is a flying tank that can level a town or hold its own against a battalion of tanks.
C130 is more of a gunship, while the A10 warthog is known as the flying tank/tank killer, and was shown in that scene. Meant with respect.
Holy 🦆 😮😮😮
is it not a 105 cannon? howitzer lobs, cannon more like direct fire
@@Belnick6666yep, it is howitzer. More that - it based on WW2 105mm howitzer (US or UK, i dont remember)
@@БелаяВорона-б6йUS 1960 era 105mm howitzer was originally used by tanks of the same era that's why it has direct fire capability instead of the more traditional indirect fire
I remember seeing this movie in theaters. When the Autobots all arrived you could feel the excitement in the room as people whispered about who each one was. As soon as the Semi truck drove past over half the audience jump up and shouted "Optimus!!"
It's s good thing there wasn't any dialogue immediately afterwards as no one would have heard it over the cheering.
I never understood why people hated Shia so much in these movies. He's funny, witty, energetic, shows a real sense of urgency when it matters...this always felt like the breakout role for him to me, and people always trashed him for the first three films. Frankly I've only missed him since.
I think it's because we see his face too much. In a movie about transformers, there's very little transformers. Megatron doesn't come up with a strategy, starscream doesn't stab anyone in the back, there no infiltration, and a fan favorite jazz, dies in about ten seconds and is smaller than bumblebee.
@@markcastellanet9672 Well it's also that no one actually likes Shia for his "acting".
In fact I argue that, like many others in hollyweird, Shia is less an "actor" and more a Movie Star.
Someone whom you don't actually remember their characters hardly, because their characters rarely vary in their personality or behavior.
"Sam Witwicky" as an individual is basically just Even Steven by another name.
Like how Ryan Reynold's "Wade Wilson" is basically just Van Wilder but with blood and gore.
Less a character actor, more so a popular face that puts asses into theater seats.
He didn't get casted because he's a great actor, he was casted because people recognize the face.
Because Shia can't honestly be called an "actor"..
I don't hate the guy, he's fun on screen.
However to call him a true actor is just plain lying.
He's a movie star, not an actor.
All of his characters are just himself, all hardly varying in individual personality. The only blatant difference being the name of the character.
Shia was chosen because he's a popular and recognizable face and personality, not because he can effectively and convincingly play drastically different individuals.
He puts asses in seats, that's about it.
Plus this isn't a complex story, and therefore doesn't require the cost of a more advanced actor.
@markcastellanet9672 Jazz dying was just an establishment for Megatron as a scary villain. They wanted to show him off as someone not to be trifled with before his big fight with Optimus, which meant he needed to easily kill an autobot. Unfortunately for Jazz, the writers thought he was the most easily killed off for the story.
Agreed he really helped make the movie besides the transformers themselves he brought the comedy so much
I was in the Air Force from 2016 to 2020. For my tour I was sent to Al-Udeid, Qatar and learned that the base in the beginning of Transformers was based on Al-Udeid. And you're kinda right, the base is like a high end prison but it could've been worse, the rooms were private, food was so-so but the air-conditioning worked. But the thing that made the base REALLY suck was the communal septic tanks always overflowing, the contractors were always on strike and most of the place had barely concealed stench of "porta potty next to a busy Taco Bell."
Okay now growing up watching the original Transformers tv show and going to see this movie in theaters and then hearing the original voice of Optimus Prime was the best thing ever. Plus the score of the movie was chilling. Goosebumps every time I hear The Arrival. I do love this movie
robots in disguise
More than meets the eye
@blazedonakayak1 Rest easy knowing that some do. You were half right, and the glass is always half full🤣
@blazedonakayak1I mean if they can't all fly... they wouldn't have got to earth😊
You got the touch!!!...
@@3Kings_Industries You got the Powwwer!
I was 7 when this came out and I went with my dad he looked at me after that opening scene and said ohh this is awesome we are in for a treat and it still holds this is a great action movie and when the score hits when they send in support for the desert fight chills everytime
This had an anniversary recently and was back in theaters for a couple days. It was still amazing seeing this on a big screen almost 2 decades later. That cgi holds up for being from 2007
I agree
You're too funny calling Bumblebee "Bee-ohc!" 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'll be honest, this is arguibly the best out of the Bayformer movies. It was simple, fun ,and didn't overstay its welcome.
Dark of The Moon was also suprisingly solid despite its issues and the movies definetly should have ended with that one.
All the others are just an excercise in "If it makes money, why change anything?"
The soundtrack in these movies was godly as well.
nothing beats linkin park.
Grew up as a kid watching the "Transformers cartoons. They're phenomenal 👏
My top 10 favorite cartoon of all time.
Peter Cullen voice as Optimus Prime give me goosebumps
Leo calling Bumblebee Beeotch the entire movie was so funny.
I envy the fact that you’ve never seen this. I’d love to go back and experience this movie for the first time.
Best movies ever! I will forever have a special place in my heart forSam Witwiki, Optimus & Bumblebee. My son was obsessed!!!
I laughed my face off my head 47:00 "He done broke it down into a Rubik's Cube" 😂😂😂
🎉Thanks Leo for reacting to Transformers! It is truly one of my fav franchise! Roll out!
Morse code was invented by Samuel Morse around the 1840's to communicate using telegraphs since simple on / off signals were all they could send long-distance over telegraph wires until the telephone was invented in 1876.
I just love your personality and hope you are having a great day and not being too hard on yourself. The content just keeps coming and we love it and you!! Head up bro. You bring a smile to my day
I dont care what anyone says i like these movies. Love the ending with Linkin Park playing and Optimus calling out to the autobots. Heroes won Sam gets the girl and Optimus is calling for backup.
Might be the only one but “aye megatron watch ya mouth” had me crying😂😂😂😂😂
Ive watched this movie easily 100 times Every time Prime bust out his opening I get chills
Everytime i watch part 1 of transformers , it always brings back my childhood memories watching the 1984 animated series , from back in the days animation to now live action
Autobots roll out "TSCHE-CHU-CHU-CHU-TSCHE " 🚛🚗🚒
This movie holds a special place in my heart in my young child to teenage days💯
I saw this movie for the first time on a school camping trip to a lake. 50 of us in a mess hall cabin watching on a projector. What an experience. Later that night about a dozen of us snuck out for a midnight hike. Ill remember that trip my whole life.
Finally someone recognizes Shia for Even Stevens! Lol one of the goat Disney shows growing up man.
One of the main reasons why I wanted to watch this movie
1:11 legit blinked at the same time .. Man U messed me up 😂😂😂
Movies like this were my jam back when I was in middle school. I honestly think this could have ended with just this movie alone, but I'm fine with the trilogy. Episodes 4 and 5 really start to drift away from this movies' roots.
"More than meets the eye" is the Transformers long standing slogan from the cartoons.
May not be a masterpiece, but this movie proves Transformers can work as a Theater Popcorn flick. Fun to watch.
Glad you reacted to the transformers movies now!! Can’t wait for dark of the moon!!
Wish we’d see more reactors put their reaction to the post credit scene of Starscream flying off into space. Man was 2007 a great time to be alive!
Yes.. YES... YEEEEES!!!! THE ULTIMATE FRANCHISE! LETS GOO!
Yesss, I've been waiting for you to watch this! I hope you watch the whole series! But remember when you get to Bumblebee it's a different timeline from 1-5
Pleasant surprise to have you reacting to this movie, people always talk ish about the Michael Bay films, but this one was ahead of its time visually
Can't wait til u see the other ones. Also love Optimus speech at the end. Fun fact. The camero bumblebee turned into was basically a concept. So the transformation hit harder back then
I’m so excited for this! This is one of my comfort movies!! I love the animated series! Also, I’ve listened to this sound track a million times!❤❤ Great choice!!
Seeing this movie in the theaters had me hyped for days. That intro scene where the decepticon drops that EMP was so clean. This movie was so well done. The 70/80s babies were pleased.
21:00 during the US invasion of Panama a Marine had to call an air strike on some tanks by calling a phone service to contact the carrier🤣
105 refers to the size of the munitions being fired. (105 millimeter Shell, High Explosive (H.E.)), kill box 1A refers to the location on the map/Radar.
I was an F.O. in the U.S. Army, basically a radio operator attached to an infantry squad. Duties included calling in Fire missions such as this. Medivacs, etc.
Now why do you have me having a staring contest with a screen🤣
i just got the "more than meets the eye" quote from Sam. 25 years later......
LOVE THIS TRILOGY!!!
My guy had an alarm for almost 20 minutes on the background, at least we know he enjoys high volume
I have a glass eye, you would never beat me in a staring contest 😂
He kept calling Bumble Bee, Bee-otch 😂😂😂😂
This was the shit when I was a kid. The CGI and Action hold up more than most MCU films.
52:41 that face when starscream dipped out... that shit was hard, i made the same face
FINALLY WE BEGIN THE JOURNEY!!!!
Anyone else noticed the alarm in the background? 💀
This film will live in infamy with me friday the 13th 2007 my ex and i went to see this and 4 hrs later i was in the emergency room getting 8 stitches after i was accidently cut with a steak knife.. but i got tacos after so the world was balanced again! Love this film
tacos make everything right.
Oh geez I love this movie so much, and even the whole series actually. Thank you for this!!❤ it'd be awesome if you continue reacting to them, but even if you dont, I recommend watching them on your own regardless of the mixed opinions on some of them
More than meets the eye was part of the intro of the cartoon back in the 80s. Actually the story line for the first two seasons of transformers in the 80s were the best
“I’m hanging out with my car, we down by the water” 💀
I’ve watched this video before and never noticed the alarm going off in the background 😂
Loved Transformers the cartoon as a kid and I was soooo hyped as an adult for this film that I went on my own when it 1st came out and then took my nephews the same day 🤣 quality reaction as always Leo 👊🇬🇧
Dude, I watched half of this video without blinking.😶
I've been wanting this for so long you don't even know! Thanks man now I have something to look forward to tonight at work ✌🏾
Going through a struggle right now so glad I can relax for an hour with you. Haven't watched a whole movie with you in a minute.
Lovin' the O's cap as a B'more native! One of the few movies I actually went to a theater to see with my son. Good memories!
You really need to see the animated version from 1986! Iconic!
Damn this takes me back! And lowkey Blackout (the decepticon that's a chopper) is a super underrated decepticon.
"Losing's really not an option for these guys" love that line🤘
You are hilarious! Loved your reaction to this movie and your intro made me laugh so much 😂
Didn’t even have a bumper on my first car. You knew you were all right.
"Autobots yall here forreal?" I WISH!!!!
"More than meets the eye" is yes corny but from the original cartoon I grew up with. It's in the theme song. Great reaction as always !! 😏
Michael Bay killed this Franchise. Transformers is the best franchise in the world to me. Ima ride or die fan.🐐🔥💯💯
That transition with the old Camaro changing into the new one was actually how Chevy revealed the return of the Camaro
My husband and I went and saw this in the theater. It. Was. EPIC! The CGI is flawless. And I love Optimus. Always. My husband and I were both 80’s kids, so he was giddy like a school boy watching it. It was an experience. And “more than meets the eye” was the Transformer slogan when they were toys in the 80’s. That’s why they put it in there a couple of times, and why Optimus said it in the end.
*Whaaaaatt I'veeee Dooooooneee!!
LINKIN PARK nailed the song 💪💪✨✨✨
Man your reactions are so wholesome. Me and my son love watching you.
ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVS, SO HAPPY YOU ARE DOING THESE !!!
Is that a Baltimore Orioles hat? I'm from England and went to visit Aunt and Uncle in Washington DC when I was 14 and my uncle took me to a baseball game, which was The Orioles, I forget the other team because Orioles won and hit several home runs. My Uncle said I was really lucky to see a game like that as my one and only.
Samuel Morse invented Morse code over 150 years ago. He lived down the block from where I live now. His house is a historic site and down the block is his workshop that is now an antique bookstore. All in the tiny town of Cherry Valley, NY.
This is gonna be a ride for you. LETS ROLL OUT!!!
“Bee otch just upgraded that’s bitch now!” 😂😂😂 28:50
