0:07 - I don't remember hearing that stock glass crash sound effect on course selection screen of this arcade game. It sounds like the one I heard in the I Love Toy Trains home video series, etc. 0:20 - The manual livery of the original Hornet #41 stock car looks neat here. I remember making replicas of the automatic and manual liveries in NASCAR Thunder 2003 for the PlayStation 2 back in 2018. More recently, I did it again in NASCAR Thunder 2002 for the same platform (in late 2022).
1. That glass break sounds exactly like the one in this video. th-cam.com/video/qCzYyjbfmZ4/w-d-xo.html It’s at 0:11. 2. Both the automatic and manual livery of the Hornet Classic look awesome. And I saw those videos of you recreating the cars in NASCAR Thunder 2002 and 2003. It looked really good despite the limited design choices the games had to offer.
@@xxdeadchannelxx 1. Whoa, that compilation of stock sound effects from The Hollywood Edge's The Premiere Edition Volume 1 sounded very dramatic! It sounds like a mix you would hear in a big budget movie or TV show. It definitely had the glass shatter sound effect I was referring to (once at normal speed and then repeated in slow motion). 2. Thanks for your thoughts on my car recreations in the NASCAR Thunder series! I really appreciate them since I had great fun. I plan on working on more recreations based on vehicles from other media and real stock car motorsports, like the UK's ASCAR / SCSA.
My #1 favourite racing game of all time and still hope SEGA will port it to current gen consoles with a full 16-player online lobby, with cross play of course. I'm featured in most of MrThunderwing's DAYTONA USA PS3 online videos.
@@xxdeadchannelxx Absolutely... And Scud Race was actually going to get ported to the Sega Saturn at first, and then was planned to get ported to the Dreamcast, the tech demo of the game running on that hardware really shows what could of been (and what we should of had for that console). Shame on SEGA for canceling the port of it back then and still not having the desire to port it to all current gen systems with online multiplayer. DAYTONA USA 2 should of also been ported to Dreamcast back then, too.
@@InitialDale I agree. It's a crime for Sega to not port these two masterpieces to home consoles. Sure, we have the Supermodel emulator to play these games on there. But that doesn’t do the games justice.
@@GavinFreedomLover Thanks man. I used a Model 3 emulator with a Thrustmaster TX Leather Edition Racing wheel with pedals and a shifter. As for the settings, I set this to the American version and set it to free play mode.
Manual is superior over Automatic in every way with the Hornet. As far as I know, winning races with the Hornet on automatic transmission is impossible. At least on the advanced and expert courses. Besides, manual is faster than automatic since it has a higher top speed.
Well I'm playing this game with a wheel and I don't think it ever happens to me. I don't know if you're playing this on an actual arcade machine or on Supermodel.
@@xxdeadchannelxx Supermodel, with an XBOX One controller. I'm using XInput to help fine tune the steering controls. The game's original three vehicles control like a dream on my controller now, but the Hornet... is twitchy as hell, no matter how much I try to tweak the sensitivity, response, output, or dead zone of my sticks.
The Hornet is very difficult to drive in this game and is not recommended for beginners. It uses Daytona 1's physics, so it will take practice before you get used to driving it.

@@xxdeadchannelxx you’ll get first with an automatic hornet if you watch Antarctic Penguin’s video
@@lavigne4520 Maybe on Beginner, I could do it. But it's impossible to get first with the automatic hornet on Advanced and Expert.

That's some nice slide job
Thank you. By the way, I think this run might actually be the world record for the Beginner track.
Props for using manual
It gave me nostalgia event tho I never play it
Getting 1st place with this car on automatic transmission is impossible in this game. Manual is the best way to go if you choose to drive this car.

I love this game so much as well. Daytona USA 2 and SCUD Race deserve justice. Both games are highly underrated.

Great times there brother, is this using an emulator? if so it's lovely and smooth , wouldn't mind knowing what your settings are , thanks !!
